Carleton University Bookstore

It has pretty much everything you need for school, but the prices are jacked up so high it's definitely not a place a student should shop.

The staff were on point! Incredibly helpful and were even willing to show new stock that had just arrived but was not out on the floor yet.

What a great variety of items in this gem of a shop. There is parking in front of the site which is incredibly helpful.

It good place for shop for souvenirs. Visiting my children in school for the first time afforded me the opportunity to shop for a shirt.

Not bad place to stop by for University merch. Other than that a lot of items are priced more expensive.

Typical uni bookstore.i recommend waiting till like the middle of the first semester to buy merch cuz they have better deals

They would not take back my return even after i spoke to 3 people about it.this store is the reason for my karen origin story.

Good place to buy Carleton swag. Look for the discount raxk at the back. You can also buy supplies here like pens, paper and binders. The other half of the bookstore is textbooks. They have it well organized. My only complaint is the price of the text books. There is a high markup. Most profs use Haven books which is unfortunate for the official bookstore of Carleton.

Awesome store and extremely helpful staff, unfortunately their prices are pretty steep. However, still a great place to get supplies. I really don’t have any qualms besides the price my pens cost. (They also have the best wired earphones I’ve found which is awesome!)

Pretty solid for a campus bookstore. They have everything for new textbooks, used ones, school supplies, coffee mugs, socks, hats, Carleton apparel, snacks, and drinks.

Very helpful staff who are always willing to lend a hand, though the prices can usually be beaten by Amazon, octopus books, and Haven for both new and used products. During busy seasons, the lines stretch around the store at times, making the purchasing process long and tedious.

Not a fan. I received an email from my prof that they entire class had been overcharged for a textbook, and that if we brought a receipt in, we would be refunded the difference, between $30-40 I think. I went in and brought my receipt but was refused the refund, despite showing them the email from my prof. Also, if you try to resell your books back, you don’t get much at all. I saw them offer someone $1 for his book.

Nice place, but more expensive than Staples and pretty much any other store and they only match price for the textbooks. Needless to say that I'm saving every dollar I can so I only buy there in case of emergencies.

Has a wide selection of textbooks, but prices are always the highest. It’s great for smaller classes where the textbook isn’t widely known. I usually first check Havens or Amazon and use this bookstore as a last resort.

How many books end up in the landfill each year because they do not take the books back at the end of the year and then students have to buy new ones the next year. Bad for the environment and expensive for the students!
