I frequently have appts at this clinic. Staff are friendly, physio is remarkable, specialists are proffessional and appt's are on time.

This place is great! I have tried quite a few different physiotherapy places around the city but I always end up back here. It is not the most convenient for me but it certainly is by far the most effective. Recommended!

My daughter participated at the Volleyball Canada U14 Canadian championship and they used all the sports facilities to host. It was great! Even the arena was used. Great place to host that kind of event!

Believe the bad reviews. They are bias as to whom they can help. Can someone explain to them that its through ohip and its not there private practice. The reception is will not send you a email with the receipt so there is no point in trying to save trees. They will laugh in your face for no reason whats so ever. Only thing the doctor ever offers is physiotherapy. Doctor won't send off referral even send you for any kind of imaging. The only reason they are getting two stars is because of Dr. Waters. Very good doctor.

Chris is an amazing physio. 3 months post ACL reconstruction surgery and I'm jumping and almost ready to get back to running!

From the medical staff to the PT you know your in good hands. Very professional and higher support staff from the University which is great as well.

For sports related matters I have found doctors here to be very knowledgeable, thorough and professional. In my case they also did my ultrasound right during the examination which was impressive, no need to wait for a separate appointment for that.

Covid protocols taken very seriously. Staff were efficient, and friendly. Did their work on putting me back together, quickly and as painlessly as it is possible to do.and long term benefit, worth it.

Hi I'm the guy with the basketball hat. Good clean spot with all the equipment. Only issue is the parking, no free parking even during the covid lockdowns. I paid $4. Saw lot lot of cars without any parking slips, but online (university of carleton website) it doesn't mention anything about parking for sports medicine center.

I went through 4 consultations and at last I was told that an appointment would be made for my operation within a couple of month. 5 months passed without hearing back. I called their office 3 weeks ago and the receptionist said we will call you back tomorrow. No call. Very disappointed with this clinic.

Dan is extremely knowledgeable and able to convey that in his work. I had a bad experience at another physiotherapist and he was able to set it straight. I would recommend Carleton uni sports medicine clinic to anyone with an injury

This place was recommended to me and I have no complaints at all. I will do the same by recommending this place to others

Very good experience here with Sports Med and Surgeon consults. Dr Taylor is a great resource to diagnose and refer to specialists.

Physio was not great. Expect your physiotherapist to be seeing multiple people at once, and to spend much of your visit hooked up to machines. Okay if you just want a basic recovery protocol post-surgery, but if you are interested in a more advanced recovery protocol geared for performance, I'd look elsewhere.

Also had a scary incident where an unsupervised physio student was allowed to do manual testing on my shoulder in a vulnerable position, 6 weeks after labrum repair.

Doctor late; was assigned the wrong assessment or patient for shoulder instead of hip. Did not have my results from referral. Doctor does not show any concern/interest and looks like she would like to be doing something else. It was like pulling teeth.

Tore my ACL in January and had my surgery mid July. I have been seeing Anna for physio since January and she is AMAZING. She is very informative, knows her stuff and I never feel rushed during my appointments. Anna is supportive and understanding and she has made a painful experience way more pleasant. I would rate my physio experience as 5/5. Anna is great.

(This rating is for their physio staff only. I had a bad experience with one of their doctors [0/5] who said I was “borderline injured” and barely gave me the time of day during appointments. I had to switch doctors to be treated with respect and get my referral to a surgeon. I brought up my concerns regarding this bad doctor to the appropriate staff at the clinic.)

I have 100% confidence in Dr Andy Marshall's replacing my ACL. I appreciated his demeanor through our handful of brief interactions. I opted to do my re-hab at CUSM, although it was a bit of a drive. I was never disappointed. Kristen Dupuis was a great task master, always taking the time to answer my questions, discuss technique and tactic and was very personable. The admins behind the desk were always wonderful to deal with upon entering the facility, paying and scheduling.
I highly recommend CUSM.

I was referred here by my doctor. After two weeks of not getting a call I called them only to find they had lost the referral - when I pressed harder they found the referral (wow!) and booked an appointment that would be another month after. After a month and a half of waiting I went in (another 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment) and was rushed through a checkup in around 10 minutes and given a referral to a physio. At this point I've lost most function in fingers in both of my hands and dealing with this clinic did nothing but set me back a month and a half on my road to treatment.

Pretty terrible experience with the doctor there. I destroyed my ankle playing basketball to a point that it never had been before. Couldn't put any weight on it for weeks. The only thing the doctor told me there was to put ice on it and basically stay off of it. I had to specifically ask him for a cast since friends and family had advised me for this. He gave me no information or anything about it. After I had gotten X-rays done to determine I had also had a very small fracture he basically told me nothing, and I had to ask him for a prescription for physio. He also gave me absolutely no information on the actual damage done to the ligaments in my ankle either. Only told me what the X-ray showed which was the fracture. Didn't bother giving me much information at all.

Great knowledge and service. From all the physiotherapist I have had in the last 15 years, this is by far the best.

The doctor for concussion after 2 years of follow up has done nothing. The only thing they recommend is physio because that's what they have. They need to get with the times and promote neuroplasticity. The doctor admitted knowing nothing about it. Now pursuing neurofeedback for the brain and it works. They sent a referral for an MRI but the hospital never got it. Do research and dont rely on them.

I am so happy my family dr recommended this clinic. I have seen Nathalie for physiotherapy and Dr. Taylor for a consult for my hip pain. I feel they are amazing at diagnosing the problem and providing the right treatments. Although I've not yet had the MRI, the exercises that Nathalie has given me are making a significant improvement in my hip pain and mobility. I would highly recommend the Sports Medicine Centre!

Went for assessment for possible prolotherapy for Achilles tendonitis and when I arrived for my appointment I found out the doctor I was to see wasn't in. Was told I would be seeing another doctor instead but when I got into his office he had no idea why I was there, why I had been referred to him, or why I had been told this type of therapy is suitable for my injury. Obviously whoever took the initial call at reception messed up badly. Then the doctor says he'll do an assessment anyway. Long story short.wrong doctor with an attitude of being completely annoyed with the entire appointment. The last exercise he had me do really hurt to which he said "Oops.sorry". Today the tendon is worse than when I went in which has set me back weeks. Terrible situation and experience.

** Update: Just received a call from the clinic apologizing for what happened and offering to reschedule with the right doctor. Many thanks for the response and help!
