Carling Heights Optimist Community Centre

Went for the Parent & Tot swim. They do not have a separate kiddie pool but the water in the pool was warm enough that my 17mth old son was able to swim for over an hour and not complain about bring cold.

Building being used as a covid testing facility. Currently appointment only. They have it setup really well with no waiting.

It was very probing. A real test. Overall, a NEGATIVE result?
Not a place for small noses.

I'm a health care worker so did a walk-in (covid test). Those staff are fantastic and I was processed in a period of approx 10 minutes. Good job guys, your service is excellent. (Ps. The security guards included).

Went to take my mother of 99 years of age for a covid test. Lovely people and very helpful. Great full for their service

Right now, it's a COVID screening center, not a rec center. But it's fast and efficient. Little to no line, screening is smooth and efficient, usually 10-15 minutes from arrival to departure.

Had COVID testing done here. The staff was super friendly and the set up was quick and efficient in getting people in and out of the facility.

This place was awesome. Went for a game of basketball and ended up getting a test for the Covid.

I had a covid test here yesterday and dealt with Lorna and Michelle, both were absolutely wonderful nurses and made my experience much less stressful. They’ve got a fantastic team running things there. Super quick and painless! Thank you for doing the good work everyone.

Got my covid test here. Nice and supportive staff and all things is perfectly arranged, sanitized and clean. All covid guidelines are followed here.

The nurses at the testing centre were kind, patient and understanding. They took their time and answered my questions. I was scared and they took the time to ease my fear.

They put a mask on my face, checked my identity, checked me into a computer, checked my temperature, shoved a long q-tip in my nose, made me sneeze and my eyes water. Then they showed me the exit. 5/5 highly recommend.

Excellent workers! The workers executed their duty with great professionalism. The test experience was somewhat uncomfortable, but the the technician was very kind and patient.

I went in for a COVID-19 test and the medical staff were amazing! Everyone was so calm, friendly, and kind! They had a well organized, efficient system that works and promotes social distancing. Val and Noël were great! Highly recommend this location to get your COVID-19 screening done!

Had a covid test here - I was in and out in just under 20 minutes! Every person I spoke to was EXTREMELY friendly, kind and professional. Couldn't believe how nice everyone was, I hope they know they're appreciated!

Got a covid test there got in and out quick. Showed up on time for my apt. Test didn't hurt was just a lil uncomfortable

Went in for a COVID-19 test. It was very efficient, and only took about 15 minutes now that they're doing it by appointment.

Went early morning and recurve time and day same day two hours later. Needs little bit of tweaking but over all very nice and pleasant nurses and other staff members keeping it clean.

Great pool! Clean, natural light, divided swimming lanes and open swim areas. Shallow end for kids. The rock climbing wall overhanging the deep end is near, and challenging! We will definitely go back!

Big facility with lots of meeting rooms/areas. Clean, bright & multi use. Was there for a meeting. Clean bathrooms

Small location located in the middle of nowhere. There's a railroad track, military base and residential houses surrounding this place. However, don't be fooled, the inside is fantastic. Although there is no library, there are many different rooms, a gym, a fitness gym and a pool. The staff are very friendly and courteous.

It was a good one. The depth increases as we go further and further l. We have a climbing wall and the staff there are very nice and they are around the pool all the time, Incase if we need any assistance they'll come to use if we let them know. There are lockers inside but have no locks, think we must bring the locks. They don't expect to keep any devices such as smartphones, cameras etcetera inside the locker as it has no lock and they wont be responsible for any missing. I think I like to go there. It's lovely.

Nice and well maintained swimming pool with some good and experienced life guards and coach. Moreover, it is free for Fanshawe students and its heated and indore so it is open in winters as well. Love going there.

I do like the indoor pool there, However I noticed mold in the pool area on the walls. They need a pressure washer and bleach or something it’s very gross.

Very good community center with various activities for all the ages.
It's very clean and organized.
The trainers are very professional and friendly as well.
The parking lot is very big.

This is a great community centre. The staff is very friendly. They have indoor and outdoor activities. Great for kids big or small. Great for adults of any age. There's even a skateboard park and a community vegetable and fruit garden.

There is virtually no super shallow end in the pool, aquafit classes are fun.
There's a great big skate park outside, baseball diamonds & horseshoes.
Bathrooms not open

Really inconvenient for people who rely on public transportation and have physical disabilities to get to easily.

Aqua fit classes were fun and the change rooms were clean and showers warm. I had a great time and the staff were friendly and helpful. I plan to go back shortly.

I love this community centre. I had no idea how many activities and rooms are available here, like volleyball, taekwondo, hockey and more. It's a little far from my home but definitely worth the drive!

Amazing pool with ample swimming lanes. One of the deepest indoor pools I’ve ever seen. Pristine facilities, ample parking, reasonable fees.

Great pool, not too busy and the swim instructors are great. There's a swim instructor that looks like a grown up version of my kid! There is a lot of other fun activities there too, check it out!
