He seems like a very kind man. But at the same time, he has no idea. Basically the same idea that we would have on Google. Yet he has a license (somehow) to diagnose conditions and prescribe medications…. He basically killed my girlfriend’s cat… He might be cheaper than most but you have to make a decision about how much longer that you actually want your pet to live with this guy. He’s more like “They’re old, they die, buy the food that we sell and medication until they die”… NOT AN ACTUAL QUOTE BY HIM… But that’s always how I felt with him. I still feel like we could have had many more happy years with her if it wasn’t for this person. If you want your pet to live a long, healthy life based on honest suggestions on their long term health as opposed to putting bandaids on existing problems that he apparently has zero idea how to recognize? I definitely suggest doing research and avoid this vet at all costs. It’s up to how much that you really care about how long that you want your pet to be around for…. He couldn’t even recognize a flipped stomach. Which is basically Vet 101.

Dr Joseph is the best vet I have ever dealt with. Made my dog a priority as an emergency in order to save her life. Shuffled other appointment to help my dog and still took care of the pets who were scheduled. I highly recommend Dr. Joseph and his staff. I am grateful I found Dr. Joseph and his team

Dr Joseph has done wonders with our companions. We have 3 cats. After a bad experience somewhere else with over anesthetic we were fearful about getting any more procedures done. After finding out about Dr Joseph we discovered he understands cats very well. We found him straight to the point yet informative and reassuring. Our kitty that almost died somewhere else thrives under his care. When we have an emergency situation he is never too busy to fit us in. They are very thorough and makes us feel we are in the best of hands.

Dr. Joseph just saved our Persian Cats life. He was over booked and still took the time to not only see our cat but do a serious emergency operation with no guarantee of survival. She did survive and we are eternally grateful to Doctor and all staff. With love, Ethel's family.

Dr Joseph ordered x-rays for my cat and ignored the results and told me they were clear of any abnormalities or concerns. He told me my cat may have something wrong with his pancreas or kidneys, and sent me home with antibiotics and metacam - a painkiller widely known for being too hard on damaged kidneys. He told me my cat had great teeth during the examination as well. A vet at an emergency clinic took one look at those same x-rays and said there is very visible fluid surrounding his kidneys. If I gave him 5 days of Metacam my cat would very likely would have died. I was also told Metacam should have never been prescribed with concerns of his kidneys without bloodwork first. The bloodwork very clearly indicated his kidney levels are off the chart and could not handle that drug, but Dr Joseph told me the bloodwork is not a priority and to give my cat antibiotics and painkillers first and wait and see. Not only are my cats teeth not great, but there is a clear abscess as well, so what kind of garbage examination did he do, because my new vet was able to identify it and show me effortlessly. Nearly $600 later from my visit at Carlton, and my cat is likely going to die, because of pure, complete negligence and incompetence from Dr Joseph. I trusted this practice with my cats for three years and I am heartbroken from the results I’m learning weeks later. If you love your pets, bring them anywhere else but here. I promise there are other affordable vets in the city. This is borderline evil and beyond neglect.

I have 2 dogs. One is 9 years old and the other is 6 years old. They have always had the same vet. He will answer all your questions. Very patient with my dogs. I would recommend this vet.
