Food and ambiance was awesome, all meats are HALAL! Service was friendly and quick, I would definitely go again.

Have now been to Carmelina a handful of times. The service, excellent food and authentic atmosphere are all commendable. The staff treats you like loving family members. Can't believe I've lived only 10 minutes away for many years and only discovered it last summer. This place also has a romantic vibe, which is hard to find these days.

A nice hidden gem of regional Italian cuisine, impeccable service, nice wine list, extensive menu of daily specials, fresh pasta, large servings, great atmosphere with live piano & guitar performer on certain days. The go-to place for fine Italian food in Markham.

I recently dined at Carmelinas restaurant, and it was an absolutely outstanding experience that deserves a solid 5 stars!

First and foremost, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.

The warm and inviting atmosphere of Carmelinas was the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening. The cozy decor created a comfortable ambiance that made our meal even more enjoyable. The lighting was a little too bright for a restaurant with this decor, but that was the only downside.

And let's not forget the perfect dirty martini! It was expertly crafted, with just the right balance of flavors and a delightful garnish. It was the ideal start to a fantastic meal.

Overall, Carmelinas exceeded all our expectations. From the great service to the inviting atmosphere and that perfect dirty martini, it's a must-visit restaurant for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience.

Service was good. Attentive, but a little insistent on trying the soup. Food was great. I had the chicken kabob. The chicken was tender. The vegetables were cooked perfectly and not cold. Rice was how you'd want rice to be. The ambiance was a bit dark, but nice. Went for lunch on a Wednesday and didn't have to wait for a table. I'd go back. The salmon looked good too.

After long day at work it was amazing to expierience the outstanding service by beautiful and sweet lady from Ukraine. Loui (I apologize if not spelled correctly) offered to make us drinks to our preference. Thank you so much for one of a kind exotic cocktail drinks. Bruschetta was also delicious. My bestie and I truly recommend Carmelina and will be returning there in the future.

What a beautiful place. The service is perfect. We brought our dog with us and the staff took care of her. She was more than welcome.

The food is amazing, fresh seafood and pastas. Also, their bread. OMG!

I recommend this place. Not for all budgets because it's pretty expensive but it's worth it.

Food quality and portion were good. However, it was a bit pricy.
Service was not good. I asked to bring drinks and kids' foods first, but he said we can't.
After dinner, they took all dishes very early, like they were closing, and we were not comfortable and enjoyed our meals.
Someone played guitar in front of each table very long and loud. Then someone was playing piano, but his voice was not good.
In general, I don't recommend this restaurant.

It has been a while since I have been here - but the food and staff were fantastic. I had the short rib risotto and would recommend!

Other than the great service from our waiter /waitress Valentina, the food was not that good and simply way too overpriced. We will not be returning to this restaurant again. We were not impressed. When we got home, both my husband and I had upset stomachs. Underwhelmed.
By the way, we spent $200 and were charged $3 for extra bread for our table which we thought was complimentary. We were a party of 12 total.

We went to this restaurant on Friday for our office Christmas luncheon. For a party of about 20 people, the group menu was our choice. The price is exactly what was listed on their website, ie.it was kept up to date.

The group menu offers enough food choices for our guest of different tastes (vegetarians, seafood lovers and meat lovers). The steak (with added extra fee) came out really good and was cooked exactly as what was expected (medium rare with reddish pink inside and medium is pink inside the meat).

The portion is larger than restaurants of similar price range and more choices (3 choices of appetizer + 6 choices of main course and 2 choices of dessert).

Feedbacks from our guests are very positive in terms of food quality, portion, choices of beverages and the service (even the washroom are very clean)

The servers (Louie, Lori, Peter and the other lady with long blond hair whom I forgot to ask her name) were all fantastic and know how to host party of our size. As one of the hosts of the event, I was able to relax and enjoy the company of our guests and the food. The 20% service was well deserved.

We had open bar, ie our guest can order any kind of drinks. The total is about $115 per guest (inc tax and tips)

Went here for my partner's work xmas gathering so I don't know how much it all costs but it seems really expensive. The portions are generally small because they're course meals so my partner was still starving when we left. It was absolutely amazing food though. The staff was friendly and the musician was good doing piano, guitar, and singing, but I found it difficult to hear anyone over the music and other conversation around me. If you're lactose intolerant, skip dessert. Housemade cream on the tiramisu (amazing!), even with four extra strength lactose pills, still made me leave early.

Over charging for inadequate quality ingredients and upsells it as a premium dish cost. They will also push tips forcing on clients with no option to pay for desired tipping but their desired tipping amount. Avoid at all cost as you will be burned.

This was a great place for a business lunch. The food was tasty, the staff was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. I would definitely recommend Carmelina

Great service! We were in a rush and the server rushed our order to have it out within minutes! They totally went above and beyond for us. The food was great and the restaurant is very lovely

A totally underappreciated restaurant. Food was good service was good and the restaurant was not too crowded. But if my visit was any indication, that might not be for long.

My manager took our team here for lunch. This is a lovely place with warm and welcoming staff. The food was all excellent! I highly recommend the bruschetta appetizer!

I have dined here a few times. It always has excellent service, and the food is so good. I would especially recommend the Veal Scaloppini or the Chicken Carmelina. They also have an excellent wine list.

Wedding celebration/private patio dinner:

My husband and I did a small intimate belated-wedding/marriage celebration dinner with our immediate families and few close friends. We really wanted to host something outdoors to be covid-friendly.

Peter and the team were spectacular. They were extremely accommodating in the planning process and provided amazing service and execution of the dinner during the night.

We were able to use the patio entirely. The fountain, greenery, and the string lights were so beautiful. We were able to Bluetooth speaker some chill music.

The wine was amazing. The food was delicious.
I'm so happy with how the night went.

I highly recommend anyone to host their private parties here!

This place is beautiful inside and also has a nice outdoor patio. The service is exceptional. Friendly and courteous staff.

I had the Linguini Frutit Di Mare which came with
mussles, shrimps, scallops, calamari and fresh fish in a saffron red wine tomato sauce.

I also had the tiramisu for dessert which was so delicious.

Great good & amazing services in a warm cozy and elaborate ambience. Everything was delicious, from bread (very good olive oil) to grilled mushroom appetizers to the main dishes. The pasta was a bit soft for my liking (you can request for it to be cooked more al dente) but the seafood was fresh and the sauce was amazing. Great tiramisu (could use more liquor and coffee). Price was right for the portion. Will definitely come back.

What a fantastic place! Was there for Mother's Day, and the service by Tina and Louis was friendly and super attentive. Every course of food in our meal was delicious. With I could've tasted everything on the menu. And the live music by the singer on piano and guitar was excellent to experience. 10/10 would recommend.

Food was quite good and service was prompt and courteous. We had a seared tuna/watermelon salad and orange roughy dish that were on special as well as the carpaccio and short rib risotto. Finished with tiramisu and a coffee. Was debating whether to give 4 or 5 stars but decided it was worthy of 5 due the nice ambiance highlighted by the gentleman playing live music on piano and Italian guitar. Would definitely recommend for a nice Italian meal.

We had the best time at Carmelina restaurant celebrating a birthday this past weekend. Booking was easy - staff was helpful, kind and very professional, the food was phenomenal - and prices are very fair for quality and generous portion sizes. Everybody loved it / even the picky ones! The singer made it extra special. A true gem! We will be back!

This place is amazing best restaurant I have been in for a very long time very friendly and warm customer service. I honestly did not tip enough will go back and will over tip they deserve it. I mean we spent almost 1000.00 so I guess tip was included but I will be back and will be back to tip. Favorite restaurant

Visited Carmelina today for a business lunch. Service is extremely attentive and courteous. Menu selection is really impressive with a great selection of meat or fish and all are based off Italian dishes. I ordered the beef risotto - it was a very healthy portion size and extremely tasty. The price tag is fairly high for Carmelina but I’d say it’s well worth it.

Sorry guys, I was dissapointed with this place. The lady who served us was very pleasant and friendly. So no issues with the service. However the cloth that our fork and knife came wrapped in was not clean. The risotto was too creamy for our liking and so was the Lamb.

Tasty food and good service. Live music on Friday night with piano and guitar. Only that our table was just next to the piano which is way too loud to hear our conversation. Other than that everything was great.

Unfortunately my first time wasn't great. Sat on the patio and had everything from wasps /flies and fruit flies. I ordered a Cesar salad at lunch and was told there were 'out' they gave me a garden salad for the same price. Almost no dressing.

Best items are the sesame bread and grilled calamari appetizer.

Covid safety: Decor is a little dated, but the indoor seating is spaced out and they have a large patio.

I am positive they serve items from Costco (multi coloured tortellini and creme brûlée) and it’s overpriced. Never again. This place is a fraud.

Food is very good. Well worth it! The seafood tasted great and the steak cooked perfectly, but we felt a bit rushed. Ordered quickly after seating, and main courses came out before we were finished our appetizers.

The quality of the food was extremely impressive. The $15 Grab and Go Specials are just as tasty as their Main Menu items. We ordered a couple of Grab and Go's, as well as the Fettucini Blue Crab and Spaghettini Alla Francoise. Everyone in our family was happy and satisfied with our meals. We will definitely order from here again!

Went to this lovely restaurant last night! Service was excellent as was the atmosphere! Steak was cooked perfectly, home made lentil soup super delicious, and enjoyed a unique little dessert of ice cream, home made chocolate sauce, fresh berries with a grand marnier glaze:)

We have been going there for almost 2 decades. Still one of the best Italian places in the city. Always my sincerest compliments to the chef and staff there for taking care of me and my guests.

It is a very nice fine dine restaurant in our neighborhood. The seafood risotto was amazingly good. Really good amount of seafood in risotto.

Couldn't decide where to take my girlfriend for her Birthday but I remember having been to Carmelina Restaurant and totally enjoyed my night. I booked our special evening on Monday Dec 7th and it was a surprise to her as she has not been there before. I did notice that the patio extension was done up very nicely and welcoming. Our server was very professional and attentive. His knowledge of the menu was spot on and recommended the best wine to go with which mains. We thought that it would be a great idea to share a few appetizers. Crispy calamari is my girlfriend's favourite. It was cooked to perfection.crispy, hot and tender. Buratta is a fresh buffalo mozzarella served with ripe tomatoes, arugula, smoked salmon in a pesto olive oil. YUMMY! We shared a portobello mushroom salad with goat cheese. These starters were fantastic and couldn't wait for our choice of mains to come. I had a mixed grill (I am a meat lover) of rack of lamb and veal chop. Medium rare is what I asked for and low and behold, it was done perfectly. My girlfriend ordered the seafood Newberg (a selection of shellfish). It had lobster tail, shrimps, scallops in a saffron white wine fish broth cream sauce. The seafood was done just right. Not dry, not overdone BUT fresh, juicy and tender. PERFECT DISH! Oh and by the way, the wines recommended with our meals were exemplary. This may sound like a lot of food but we made sure we had room for dessert. We shared a good portion of Carmelina's home-made tiramisu with Spanish Coffee. This was a VERY SPECIAL night (my girlfriend turned 28. I hope she doesn't kill me for revealing her age. LOL). We will not hesitate to come back over and over as our night turned out to be absolutely and totally wonderful than we could have expected. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this place. The patio looked magical with twinkling mini lights. We are seriously thinking of reserving Carmelina's for our Engagement Party in the Patio.

Ordered their new Grab & Go menu and would recommend it! The portions were regular size, nicely packed and priced at $10 per dish. I had ordered the Veal Parmigiano which came with pasta and vegetables. Realized that the price now is $15 per dish, which I think is still good value considering that it is an Italian fine dining restaurant. Overall, it’s good meal to grab and eat at home when you are feeling lazy to cook.

I like to go with friends to this place with my warmest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The the food there is delicious and the team is efficient and cooperative. Every time we eat in this place we pass a gorgeous evening. I warmly recommend this restaurant.

Went to Camelinas for dinner last night for the first time and had an amazing experience, food was delicious and portions were good but the best part was our Russian server I think her name was Tina, she went above and beyond to great attention to detail and a bubbly personality that made us all feel very welcome and special.

Overall, outstanding. Started with a broccoli and spinach soup that was absolutely amazing. Had the Carmelina chicken for a main. The chicken breast was cooked perfectly, juicy, tender, and full of flavour. It came with scallops, prawns, and mushrooms in a delicious creamy cheese sauce that made every mouthful a treat. Tasty potatoes and steamed vegetables completed the plate. Enjoyed a cappachino and key lime cheesecake to finish. The atmosphere was very pleasing and our server was pleasant and timely. Can't wait to return and try the risotto!

Took my mom out for her birthday here and ordered the Spaghettini alla Francoise — and I swear, it was one of the best seafood pastas I've ever had in my life. Super fresh seafood, perfectly cooked noodles, excellent flavours, one of the most beautifully rich sauces I've ever tasted, infused with lobster in every bite… A pasta dream, I tell you. The service was also excellent — granted, it was a slow Monday night — but our server was attentive, informative, and super nice. The real question is, why haven't I come here before?

Never disappointed. We've been here more than a handful of times now, and they've been very consistent, never a bad meal. Service is great, parking's good - lots of space, and free, and at certain times, there's even live music. We were there once in the summer too, on the patio, which was really nice as well as they've got the corner spot - they've got umbrellas, though it'd be a lot nicer if they had some big trees for shade. They take credit card, and the place seems clean. No complaints. Compared to chain restaurants nearby, and a few other Italian restaurants in the area, this is the only one I keep taking my business back to that I feel is a cut above in terms of food quality, and hence gets the 5 star.

I would give this place a 3.5 star. I had the pasta special which tasted pretty good but my husband's Carmelina chicken was overcooked. The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant was nice. Service was good too, very attentive. However, the price was too high for what you get. We were 2 people who got one ceasar salad and one portebello mushroom appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 drinks (non-alcoholic), 2 desserts, and 1 coffee for $150.
