Carnation Nails Spa & Hair

The staff is very friendly. I took my 8 year old along and she wanted her nails painted. The owner not only painted her nails but also did shellac for long lasting in the cost of nail paint. Full points for the kindness but the nail paint from a couple of nails peeled off just a few minutes after we got home and then next day all of them peeled off. I don’t know what went wrong - bad quality products or wrong technique
I feel bad for spending 15 bucks on nail paint that didn’t even last 2 hours

I got a shellac polish change done here on a whim and I had a great experience. The lady who did my nails was so friendly and patient. I appreciated that she took her time and didn’t make me feel rushed. I’d come back for sure

Great service but low quality Shellac nail polish. It started to peel off 4 days after nails were done, I never had this issue before.

This is my favourite place <3 Nick and his girls are always soooo attentive and happy! You will always have a warm greeting. Very skilled people work here- shaping and painting “sexy” nails. They always help you out on your socks, shoes and jacket, give you water and candys- which is think is the sweetest thing in the world. You will feel like family here.

Lee did my nails and did a great job, she was so nice. She picked the colour for me and i ended up loving it. Would recommend this place

This was my first time going to Carnation Nails Spa & Hair. I found the salon to be nice and clean and the staff to be very kind and professional. My shellac manicure and regular polish pedicure were well done and have both held up so far. Typically should last up to two weeks. I feel confident that if there was any issue they would gladly fix any chips within that time period. The services provided was well worth the price. I would definitely go back again.

Don't recommend anyone to go there. This is a manicure and refill of 5 days. Their male master was assuring me that it will last 3 weeks. When I went there today asking them if it's ok and what can be done to fix it they suggested fixing it with a super glue and reacted as if it's totally OK. Never had such bad experience before.

Love it here. They treat customers really well. I thought maybe I was the queen, but they treat everyone that well. I never make appointments because I suck, but they don't hold it against me. Also some of the best prices I've seen in North Toronto.

The woman who did my shellac manicure and regular pedicure here was just awful. The polish on my toes was rushed and is sloppy. The worst is my shellac nails. SO poorly done. All my nails are different lengths and shapes, very thick, didnt cover the whole nail and had air bubbles. To top it all off my finger is now infected from her cutting me with the electric file and trying to hide it from me. Instead of trying to clean the cut right away she hid it and continued to file and pick at the skin around it. This is what I am most upset about because now I have to deal with a swollen, painful finger and fork out the money to buy ointment for it. They offered to "fix" the shellac which was a kind gesture but they just added another coat and my nails are super lumpy and thick.

I honestly did not want to write a negative review because I had a good first experience and they were very kind (besides my nail tech) but an infected finger is just unacceptable. Wont be returning unfortunately.

After the polish on my toes has started to chip off I realize my baby toe is completely split and ripping off due to over filing. I'm just getting more and more frustrated with the outcome of my nails.

Worst experience ever! Never go back! The girl who did my nail was slow and didnt know what she is doing.another girl joined to help her.each of my nails have different shape.but staffs are friendly.

Love this nail salon has the best owner and staff, they do a fantastic job on my nails and my husband loves getting his nails done here to and the pedicures are wonderful as well. Best nail salon in Toronto. Highly recommend.

Went in for the first time today.was happily welcomed and taken in immediately for a mani/pedi.friendly service.lady did a really great job.seemed like they have a lot of regulars.be back soon!

Always have been very welcomed. Enjoy the services. Super creative, great nails. It's always great when your nails last longer (This is it) I guess I have found my go to place.

The best nail salon I have ever been to! I went in for a fill and my initial manicure was terrible. They took their time to file down the overly thick nails and made sure to ask at each step my opinion. I went in at 7 and they stayed till 8: 30 even though they close at 8. All the staff was very nice and welcoming. They do not overcharge and are very detail oriented. I will only ever go to the nail salon from now on. Thank you guys <3

I used to go there a lot but it went worse with months.
They are understaffed (3 at best) and take customers for idiots. They take appointments on phone and then when you show up they say that they booked another time and blame you.
My last appointment, I did a 30mns foot massage (what I used to do every 2 weeks). The lady tried to pass 2x 10mns - could not be a mistake. She argued it was 30mns to finally admit she was wrong. She obviously tried to scam me. Maybe she was tired, I don't know but I hate being taken for an idiot.
Pity because her massages were really good but won't come back.

Staff is nice, and friendly. They always do a good job with my nails, and the prices are pretty good.

I have been doing bio gel on my nails for years, but had to change the place because I moved. The Carnation was good rated and close to my house, so I decided to give them a chance. They did a bad job. I have never had a quicker treatment - the man was in a rush to get my nails done because his friend came unexpectedly and needed a manicure. So he just wanted me out of there asap. Because of the rush, he drastically shortened the process, even though I said my nails need more attention (especially thumbs). He made a messy mistake on two of my nails and cut them way too much. For the given treatment, the price is too high. I will not be going there again.
Update: two days after the treatment, the nail polish started to chip off. Horror.

Out of 10 years has 2 places do my nails and make me feel welcomed and glad to be of service to make my hands look even more beautiful. This is one of the places.
The other place in Peel Region 'DLovely Nails'.
Both places my nails were done by males and they did way better then alot of the women who ever did my nails before.
If this place is full.please don't make the mistake and go to Phong Thy Nails across the street. Those ladies don't care about you.they only want your money. I have had 3 bad experiences with them and gave up and never went back.

They're very impolite as well. Deceitful.

Make a Reservation a go to Carnation Nails. Wonderful people caring and as long as there is space and they can help, they won't deny you.
My nails are always beautiful from here.

This place is perfect if you want to blow $30 on Shellac. I came to this place thinking they were going to do my nails good so that they stay for two to three weeks, after I came home I noticed that there was a bubble on one of my nails and two days after the same nail with the bubble began to peel. Another three days after another one of my nails stared peeling and it looked horrible. They didn’t even last a week until they began to all peel. The lady who was doing my nails was very rude and over charged for the work they did.
