CARSTAR Hamilton Midtown

We are very happy with CARSTAR. The staff was great to us, both during the initial estimate and while we were waiting for completion of the work. The car came back beautifully detailed and all sensors had been recalibrated. Very reasonable cost for the quality of work completed.

As always, my vehicle was fixed with the utmost precision that any dealership would provide but while dealing with amazing personel who are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I definitely recommend coming here for ALL your vehicle needs.

They took two days to replace my entire rear bumper, clean the inside and outside of my car. Very beautiful work, my car looks brand new again and like I never got rear ended. The staff were also very kind, funny and knowledgeable. Denise at the front office is super friendly very great service here, will be recommending to my friends if they ever have car problems!

Friendly staff. Was not pleased with the conditions they returned my vehicle. Looks like they wiped the front seats, dash, and windows, leaving the windows full of stripes had to clean it, and my back seat was covered in dust.

The customer service was phenomenal, I had a great experience with the staff! My car got rear-ended just a little over a month ago and Carstar Midtown were as efficient and friendly as possible. Specifically Justin who dealt with my case, went above and beyond to ensure the best customer experience I could get. Before I went to them myself, I had already heard that they had a very good reputation and I was not disappointed! I had some vehicle bodywork corrected. The team was very friendly, accommodating, and kept me up to date during the whole process. The vehicle loaner location, Enterprise, was a block away which was also very convenient.

The bodywork and corrections looked great and I would definitely return again. Great staff and a friendly environment.

Vehicle came back cleaned I was impressed. Although my key fob missing the rubber and won't work now, my car was fixed nice and even shined the tires. It took 3 weeks to fix thankfully I had a rental. Staff were helpful and courteous.

I’ve been to this location twice now for two separate incidents. Justin helped myself both times. Extremely nice, understanding and always a great job. I hate recommending body shops but I would always recommend them

I am very happy with my experience at this location! Justin and Blake are amazing! They took care of my car and every question I had was answered… I never write reviews but I had to write one for those two employees at this location. Keep up the amazing work! You have a very satisfied client!

I wouldn't recommend taking your vehicle to this location for repairs. They did a fine job of replacing my actual roof, but the moulding (plastic strips that run along the roof and doorframe area) were damaged during the repair. They were no longer flush with the roofline and were raised and stuck out. I took it back to address the issue, and they half-fixed it.

It's a chaotic location and I watched one of the adjusters resign on the spot. Look elsewhere in Hamilton.

Insurance referred to this location for a second time. First occasion, Mohammed was my estimator and estimated too low and forced us into disputing and getting a second estimate at a different CarStar and it came much higher.
Second time, again Mohammed was our estimator, and again he has given us a low estimate. We are disputing again and getting a second opinion. Good thing we have a friend who can help us navigate through auto body repairs otherwise we would be paying out of pocket. It's like the time and frustration of an accident is not enough, Mohammad has to pour more salt on our wounds.
On a different occasion, there was a different estimator that we were happy with so I think it's best to avoid Mohammed for any estimate work.

Excellent support system here. Went for second estimate on the accident damage from July 6.unlike the previous place.this appraiser slid under the car to see if there was other damage you couldn't see.lots of damage. 15 minutes later I'm in a rental.thank-you so much for taking the time to see what I needed, now.

Desjardin Insurance sent me to this shop and it's taken me almost 3 weeks to get my truck back, I suggest you find your own shop with a better schedule than these guys, they take forever. Very disappointed.

Recently had my car repaired at this location and just outstanding service from both staff and mechanics. Completely satisfied with their work and how they treated me. I highly recommend this place. They accommodated everything I asked for which was above and beyond. If possible ask for Blake. He is a car enthusiast and has the Passion and the knowledge to make sure you're leaving satisfied. 5 out of 5 stars!

My car was re-assigned here following 3 months of another (unrelated) shop not being able to complete the restoration to my standards. Blake took the matter into his own hands, kept me in the loop and gave me detailed explanations of everything that was going on. They took down a list of all my concerns on the vehicle and addressed every single one individually. Carstar totally restored my pride in driving my car. It was cleaned up beautifully and parked right at the door on display for everyone to see when I came to pick it up. Huge relief that they could compete the work beyond my expectations in 1/6th of the time it sat at the original shop for. Blake and CarStar are the kind of people you’re looking for after an accident.

I had hail damage done to my car in a storm over the summer and my insurer sent me to Carstar. The insurance coverage fixed the hail damage The car looks brand new now. Thanks guys!

There was someone trying to break in my car and that caused some little damage on my door window, so I let them fix it and that was very good.
However, after I picked up it from the store I found my break feels different, and my abs and break warning lights are always on. I do not had this problem before. I went back and their technician tell me they have nothing to do with it, so I had to drive my car to Toyota dealer and did things like calibrations to fix it.
I have to spend more than700 dollars here, and 254 dollars more on dealer for problems which are not caused by myself, and I know it is difficult to dispute it. The only thing I can do is to post my experience on here.maybe I am just unlucky. SO SAD!

Great team! I was there a couple of times, but my most recent time was extraordinary. They did an incredible job with my car, and was extremely friendly, supportive and patient which made a huge difference to me. My insurance company was nothing but a headache, and carstar was the only part of the experience that made things less stressful. Great people, great skill and talent. I highly recommend.

Review is from a while ago. After getting rear-ended and pushed into the car in front of me I had to have both bumpers replaced. The technician was very honest with me and told me his thoughts. The car took way less time than they quoted so I was very happy about that. Customer service was very good and the quality of work was even better.

Needed a new rear bumper painted & installed. Blake took care of us, had the car in & out in 24 hrs. Fantastic!

Last year, I brought in a vehicle for paint work and was so happy with the results, that when I needed my wife's car repaired this month, I came back to Carstar. TJ and his crew were professional, courteous and honest. Workmanship is top notch. Highly recommend!

Service was really good and my vehicle was repair within 2 weeks. They replaced the muffler and back bumper, painted it and everything and it looks really good! I recommended!

Very very impressed. My van looks amazing. They made my “accident unhappen”. They also cleaned my van inside and out which was totally above and beyond.

When dropping off my van and picking up they made sure that I was ok to pick up my rental which is literally a 2 min walk away. Unless a person has mobility issues or it was pouring rain, a drive over would be completely unnecessary. Thank you for the great service!

Great place I used to work there I think it's one of the best places to have your car repaired the have one of the best collision repair man I ever met working there he makes it right safe and won't stop till it is right keep up the great work guys

Fantastic shop the work that your car receives is done like the own the have great trades men there shop is state of the art I wouldn't take my car any where else they handle every thing treat you right and your car fast and great work in the Hart of Hamilton I say it's the best body shop in the golden horse shoe and they stand behind there work

The repair took 10 days longer dragging it out for one reason or another. Horn stopped working took it back they said there was nothing wrong but magically it was fixed. 3 weeks down the road the front bumper fell off on the right side took it apart found the rf bumper mount broken the bumper was ripped where it was supposed to clip in and was just being held in by one screw. Took it back to them they said it was existing damage but the bill says the bumper cover was changed. Took it to another Carstar and had the repair completed.

Our car went in for a small dent repair. The dent was right on a body line. Carstar had the car for 2 days. The dent is gone, just gone.

Incredible job

Terrible customer service. The guy who checked my car gave it a quick look on one side and did not fully examine the car. Then he calls me and rudely asks why I didn’t tell him about the rest of the damage. Isn’t that your job? To examine all the damage? Anyways because they didn’t assess the damage properly they ordered parts late and I ended up waiting several weeks for what they said was a couple weeks job. Everytime they said they would give me a call back, they failed to. Very frustrating experience.

Took almost a month to repair and gave my car back with a nail in the tire. They filled it with air to get rid of the sensor and a few days later it popped back up and had to bring the car back. If they looked proper the first time instead 9f being lazy would have saved the second trip back.
