My car was involved in an accident at the beginning of October. A motorcycle collided with the right side of my front bumper, causing minor damage to my hood, headlight, and undercarriage. Despite the severity of the incident, I made the mistake of thinking CarStar would provide quality service and a timely repair.

My initial estimate was that my vehicle would be ready by mid-November, a deadline that was not only missed but utterly disregarded. To my disbelief, when mid-November arrived, I was informed that the replacement parts hadn't even been ordered! How is it possible that a supposedly reputable auto repair shop fails to initiate such a basic and crucial step in the repair process? It's nothing short of sheer incompetence.

Fast forward to today, the day I finally picked up my car, and my anger has reached its peak. As if the delays weren't infuriating enough, the first revelation after starting my vehicle was that all heaters, AC, and fans were completely non-functional. If that wasn’t enough, upon closer expectation you can clearly see the headlight (that I was charged full price for) was used! It's beyond comprehension that CarStar could return a vehicle in such a deplorable state, especially considering the extensive time they had to address all issues during the prolonged repair period.

In my utter disbelief and frustration, I immediately called the front desk to address the issue. To my astonishment, the person on the other end nonchalantly claimed that the car was "like that. " Are you kidding me? It's as if they were insinuating that the malfunctioning climate control system was somehow a pre-existing condition, conveniently ignoring the fact that my car was in their care specifically due to the damages incurred from the crash.

This experience has only solidified my belief that CarStar operates as nothing more than a complete scam. It appears they are not only incompetent in performing their jobs efficiently but are also shamelessly taking advantage of desperate individuals seeking timely and reliable auto repairs. It's alarming that they can so callously dismiss concerns and deliver subpar workmanship, only to conveniently forget any responsibility once the issues are brought to their attention.

CarStar's lack of accountability and professionalism is appalling, and it leaves me questioning the integrity of their entire operation. My hope is that potential customers heed this warning and avoid falling victim to the deceitful practices of CarStar. This establishment has proven itself unworthy of trust, and I implore others to seek auto repair services elsewhere to spare themselves the frustration, disappointment, and financial loss I've experienced firsthand. And don’t just take my word, there are countless and detailed one star reviews of past customer experiences.

Don't use them. They have enough business apparently. I still have a tire pressure light in my dashboard in the only tire they touched. Now its my problem

After my car was involved in a minor hit and run while parked in a parking lot. Carstar did an amazing job fixing it. You can't even tell the damage that had been done. They were very quick and professional with getting the job done. I am a very pleased customer. They also helped me with a solution to another separate issue with my car too.

Took my truck here for a minor fix front bumper was hit by another while parked. When I picked it up they said they cleaned the inside of the truck. I had a case of gatoraide in the back and a dent puller kit.
Needless to say both were missing when I picked up my truck.
Not sure why the people were in the bsckseat of the truck. I knew where everything was they boxed it all up and stuff was missing. Wouldn't use them again

Insanely good service. Not only does the car look brand new again after a collision, they did a full interior detailing that looks phenomenal. Worth every penny and a tip! If anything comes up again, this place is my number 1 now.:)

I took my car here after a collision, Frank was calling me down before my insurance even had the paper work. He made me sign off on it, knowing my insurance didn’t have it! They put original price of parts then had penciled in all the after market parts! I told them not to do work on my car! Dino tried the same thing after two weeks and when I called out the fraud Dino said to come pick up my car! When I got there, the front desk acted like they didn’t know it was my pick up date for my car, my insurance also sent them an email 3 hours prior. NO ONE took me to my car or said anything, they threw it behind some lot and that’s when I saw my headlight had been removed and thrown in my truck where my belongings were! Frank wanted to be extra petty, they were to never remove my headlights! SCANMERS!

Carstar has gone above and beyond to assist me with all my car needs/repairs. I will be going to carstar for all my car needs from this point on.highly recommend

I had a great experience dealing with Carstar, they went above and behind. I brought in for a Collison repair and they ended up cleaning the interior, topping up washer fluid, and touched up existing scratches I had on vehicle.

Did a fantastic job. Night & day difference from the one in Ancaster. They also cleaned the inside of my vehicle which was totally unexpected. I wouldn’t hesitate to use CARSTAR Hamilton Rymal again.

Never have i got the runaround so much one person says one thing and someone else tells u another. Got delayed for almost 2 mo ths o a repair and estimate guy tried to blame my 17 yr old son. Totally unprofessional and i would avoid at all costs.

The staff was very friendly and professional. They kept to their word and my vehicle was ready in three days. They did an amazing job on the body of the vehicle, and also cleaned/washed (inside, outside and rims) my car for me. I would give them a 7 star if it was possible. They are very good at what they do!

Dropped off my jetta car for a door fix for almost 4k and was absolutely NOT happy with their finishes. DO NOT GO THEIR! Car was driven >300 km for personal use, broke mirror defroster and rotator switch /motor for both mirrors, charged me for a 5 day rental when i only used it for 4 days to make up for an accidental damage during their work flow. They were very ignorant to fix the damage and said to go to VW to fix the part. Unprofessional and not a trusted company!

I would give them a 6 star if I could, to be honest.
Not only did they do a perfect job on the repair, but they were so fast with it. AND they did a detail inside and out of my vehicle!
Above and beyond! Not to mention, the nicest people!
I obviously don't want to get into another accident but if I do, this is 100% the place to go for and all repairs.

I gave my car for repair about 2 months ago.front order work is awesome. But there is little bit work is pending.they gave my car by completing 90% of work & 10% work is remaining.they told me to come after 1 or 2 week we will fix it.but still my back order work is not done.now it has been 3 months of repair.not received single call from carstar.moreover, i called them then they told me we ordered it still not received. Sometime they told i will transfer to supervisor but then hang up.seriously its very irresponsible.my insurance company paid all the money upfront for my 100% repair.so very disappointing experience.
So " I suggest you guys don't pick up your vehicle until 100%, work of your repair not done. " otherwise you will hang in situation like me.lots of repair shops are available so search it n go for it don't relay on carstar.

Pleasant CS, good follow up Work was completed in a timely manner (4 days) and I appreciate that my truck came back completely detailed and with a free touch up paint.
Only reason for 4 star is it did take a week for them to call me to even make an appointment for an estimate to be done & this was after my ins adjuster followed up 2x.
I would highly recommend Carstar on Rymal.

I'm thoroughly impressed with Carstar and their customer service. The ladies at the desk were very friendly and professional. The estimators were great as well. The repair work done on my car was excellent. They even touched up some rust for me. To top it all off, my car was cleaned inside. Above and beyond was that they cleaned the front seat that had water stains on it. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. Would I recommend them to my friends and family and anyone else, of course!

I would like to give a big shout out to Carstar on Rymal Road. They did an amazing job repairing my suv when I got rear-ended. I took my vehicle in Wednesday and ready within the next day. The team was very professional, gave amazing service and very courteous. They got my suv looking like new, washed, detailed, polished, and received additional paint touch up sticks.again thank you so much.will definitely recommend

Went to CarStar Rymal for parking lot damage to be repaired. Drivers rear door was damaged along with the rear quarter.

First off, the damage repair and paint work was first rate. Door fit is good and the paint blend is first rate. Can't tell that the rear quarter has had any work done to it at all.

However, there were a couple of problems found;

1. The negative battery terminal was not properly retightened. It was so loose I could take it off completely with no tools. Took it back to show them and the Service Advisor made it out like it they would not have touched that in the course of their work. IE it was my fault.

And the bigger issue

2. We have window vents on our vehicle (WeatherTech) which I removed (the damaged rear door only) prior to taking the vehicle in. We noticed when we picked it up that the rear vents had been replaced. About 30 minutes later on the way home, we noticed that all 4 of the window vents had been changed out. Why had they taken off the fronts when that was not involved in the accident? The vents that were put on were aslo a cheaper version than what was on it. A $60 product vs a $160. Took it back and I was promised they would 'Make it right'. They promised they were going to order us new Weathertechs and call us when they were in and switch them out for us. That was 4 weeks ago. Called today 9am to follow up explaining that I was very unhappy with the service, it's now 6pm and no one has had the decency to call back. Very unprofessional.

Be very critical with your vehicles when picking them up to make sure everything is 100% before accepting it back because they say one thing and then do nothing to back that up.

Update; 3 days, still no contact

Got my Yukon fixed after a hail storm. Vehicle looked great, they even looked hard to find the clip for my dash cam! Great work, good staff!

I brought my car into this location to have a little tiny section of my bumper painted after pulling a little to close to the car i was quoted an extreme amount of money but I needed the car fixed quick after getting home and looking over the bill i noticed they charged me over 11 hours in total to paint and remove the bumper i seen that it looked like there was a few things they were charging double for just under a different title like bumper overhaul bumper repair bumper remove another thing was i dropped my car off close to closing time on monday and they had called me at 430 on tuesday to tell me the car was completed after looking at the hours they said they charged unless they have people working night shift woul be impossible as they didnt even have my car long enuf for there business hours another thing they wanted to charge me another 350,00 to reprogram my cruise control i opted out of it which im glad i did because its all working just fine, i was kind of disturbed when there one guy called me tuesday morning to inform me who put on the winter tire the steelie nuts were backwards and they could come loose and it was like they wanted to charge me to turn them around i opted out of to do myself so im glad they show they can do that little extra for there customers and do it sine a 2 foot part of the bumper cost me over 1000.00 i rated it a 2 star for the fact the work that was done was good and they did it faster then there bill says it was done but this place is a rip off and i wish i never brought it there and had more time off work to be able to shop around

Extremely easy, quick, and friendly service. They had my car for 3 days before it was repaired and ready to go. Upon receiving my car, the entire outside and inside was detailed and they even left me a paint stick for touch ups. Highly recommend this place if you need body work done to your vehicle.

I had such a horrible experience with another place. I got so fed up. I ended up getting another tow company to tow my car to car star and by time I was about to leave, they had already did everything I needed them to do. They're fast! They're good on their word! They were perfect!

I was very impressed with their quality of service.
I needed my car by a certain date and they made it priority and had it done for me on time. (Had a car bumper repair) The front desk are so friendly and accommodating. They cleaned up my car inside and out! And even gave me a little bottle of touch up paint to take home. Didn’t expect that and I’m glad to took my service to carStar on Rymal.

A couple of mistakes, had to return for back-up camera reconnection. Could see daylight between quarter panel and truck box.

Very professional, took extra care during the covid times. Reviewed the car with me, found the rear taillight was slightly out of line after having body work done. No argument, fixed on site.

Car looks better then when I got it off the lot, took my VW Tiguan in for the back bumper to be painted and I can’t express how happy I am with the workmanship. Great service friendly staff and on time. Would recommend this location to anyone, over all 10/10 experience.

Got my vehicle earlier today from Carstar and they were exceptional. You would never know that there was damage to begin with! They even went above and beyond to clean the interior, fix an area that wasn't part of the initial damage and re-tint the window that needed replacing. It's the little things that made so much difference to me. Plus the staff were super easy to deal with and friendly. Thank you again so much.

Recently had my 2019 Genesis G70 car in to have some scratches fixed on rear bumper. Dino Merchanti provided me with a written quote and took care of everything including having someone come and pick me up when the car was ready. Dino is such a nice guy to deal with and the car looks amazing. The car was washed and hand dried and the complete interior was cleaned and wiped down. I was totally impressed!

I haven’t even started taking my car to this shop and this is what I get “worst quality customer service” as if you’re fixing tons of cars a day to neglect a rushed photo estimate sent a week ago and if I didn’t call or email no one will respond and my car will be fix after a YEAR. I just wish I can find another auto shop after reading the reviews the fact that you’re affiliated with my insurance company I might as well change my insurance company @desjardinsinsurance you’re just after the money you don’t realize the frustration and stress of the people dealing with this situation you deserve to have no stars at all. You lack courtesy and professionalism to your incoming and present customers.

My 2018 car was vandalized on the trunk and hood. When I showed up for the inspection my insurance company had forwarded all my information-it took about 45mins for the estimate. My car was booked for the next week and Carstar asked me many times if I needed a rental car (I didn't). My car was finished a week later and I must say I am extremely happy with the work. I worked in the automotive paint supply chain for some years and know where short cuts can be taken. I was blown away how clean my car was inside and out-usually I'm the only one who takes off the wheels to clean them. The paint repairs are excellent and I am very happy to have my car like new. All this during the Covid 19 crisis. Thanks you to the staff and techs who repaired me car-exceeding my expectations.

Very polite and professional. They do an extremely thorough job and keep you informed through the whole process.

Derrick Wilson explained what the repair involved and answered all my questions. The car was repaired in a timely fashion and the detailers and body repair people rendered my 8 year old car in show room condition. Enterprise car rental were top notch professionals and took the time to explain how safety features worked on the late model car. Karen took the time to walk me through a VISA refund matter. I hope to never see these people again but if I do I know I will have chosen the best.

Car stars was fantastic. The people who called to ask how they were, "not so fantastic" they were rude as hell to my mother who is hearing impaired and hung up on her. Disgusting!

I was very impressed with the attention I received as soon as I walked in the front doors. The receptionist quickly found me an agent who within 5 minutes carefully explained what was going to happen, how it was going to happen and when. Better service than my grumpy old adjuster at Intact gave me.

Carstar Rymal did a great job with my recent bumper replacement. Process was seamless, they coordinated everything with my insurance and organized my rental car. Really appreciated that they detailed the interior of my car even though they were only doing an exterior repair. Also appreciated that they gave me some extra touch up paint to take home at no cost. Overall, I would highly recommend Carstar Rymal for both quality of work and customer experience.

I am quite impressed with the quality of the job done. The car is as new! There was quite a bit of damage in the accident but the car looks and operates as brand new.

This CARSTAR took great care of me and did essentially a perfect job. Just needed a bumper replacement but the color match was truly perfect. They did a nice detailing of the entire vehicle and even took care of another issue for no charge. Job done quickly too. Very impressed with the experience.

Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Had my rental exactly as I asked. Communicated through out the repair. Would definitely bring my vehicles here again. They even caught a vehicle recall for my dealer to fix.

Very bad experience, I drop my car to fix the left back door. I received my car with scratch on the right front door. I talk to them, they reviewed the photos for the car before fixation the new scratches was not available or obvious.even though they didn’t fix it for me. Horrible experience will cost me not less than $700
