The last time I came here, I was introduced by a good friend. Through my friend's connections, I went straight in. The meal was okay. This time I came by myself. I didn’t rely on my connections. I got my ticket number at the door and was told to wait for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, I went over to ask how long the wait was. They ignored me. Later, I waited for an hour and said with a bad attitude. No stage. The few rich people who arrived later than us, carrying Hermès LVs, were able to eat directly in the room when they arrived. It doesn’t matter if you’re a VIP, we grassroots people just wait. The key is not to yell “No stage! ” and leave without eating in the end! We gave our numbers directly to the two old men next to us who had been waiting for a long time~

Back in this restaurant today, 202401, their food is very good and tasty. A vast improvement from 2019. Good service and atmosphere.

Tipping is compulsory. Does the waiter need to tip when he brings the food? After finishing the tea, no one took the initiative to refill the tea. I had to ask someone to come. The two of us finished the meal for more than 80 yuan. I asked Sister Qian to bring over the credit card machine and she said that it was exactly 100 yuan including the tip. That's awesome. Give me the tip, you want a tip even if you don’t get any service at all, why don’t you grab money? The food is getting worse and worse and salty, so the tip is the same as salt, right? (There are six or seven foreigners at the table next to me, nodding and bending over to bring water and tea, and dividing the dishes When loading the plate, don’t be too nice. If you want to give me such a service, you don’t need to ask for a 25 tip. If you force someone to tip, you won’t get good service. Isn’t it cheap?)

Sunday 11am dimsum, party of 7. They were slow to bring the food out. The taste was decent. When we asked for the bill they said “finally”. Disgusting. Considering the amount of time they took to bring our food, I didn’t think we were there for so long. Even if we had overstayed our welcome, they should learn to communicate in a more appropriate manner. As my dear friend would say, DLLM. I’m not going back. Also, price is way too high.

The place looks very nice and fancy. The food is delicious, high quality, the selection is wide.

Super fancy and unique sorts of dim sum. Went during Sunday lunch and service was a little slow. No one really spoke English but was able to get by with the orders. They include tips on the bills.

Fine dining establishment that serves what I assume is authentic Chinese cuisine with old school restaurant service style which is a rare find.
No dim sum after 4 PM and really you go there for the food and ambiance and be sure to ask what temperature the food comes in if it's your first time or you're not used to things on the menu. We don't speak the language but have been going back for the yummy food and the amazing ambience for over 10 years

The food was delicious! Absolutely loved the flavours, freshness and speed of service and food coming out. Everything was piping hot and so tasty. One of the best dim sum experiences I have ever had. The cuttlefish curry was big portion, large fresh cuttlefish and so flavourful. The turnip cakes were some of the best I’ve had.

Quality food and nice variations in a formal, yet come casual setting. You won't be disappointed!

Food was great but boy it's a cold winter and they still decided to open with the heater not working? Prepare for a cold meal

Garbage service, waited 1hour 20 mins for a mid size order, the front desk try to blame for you for coming too early, and give you an awful attitude after you have explained to them that you have already waited 40mins in store. And the food was cold, and overpriced. Would give zero star if I can.

First of all, the place is amazing, the architectural details, the ambiance is different. Secondly, the staff are friendly and the food was delicious. We called half an hour to reserve a table for 4, and they accommodate us. Although they checked our covid vaxx, but that was fast, at least they're doing their job and proper health protocol. It's a little pricey but our craving for dim sum was fulfilled.

Beautiful setting in a large restaurant that looks like a mini castle. Went for dim sum on a Monday. Still very busy but didn't have to wait to get seated. Service was top notch, very clean and the food was also very good. Recommended and repeat customer.

Don't come here to eat! Their cleaning is awful and dangerous! My cousin's cousin was getting married and we were invited to come for their marriage banquet! When we sat down and started to eat, my grandma on my dad's side accidentally swallowed a piece of metal that fell out of the cleaning tools! My grandma later felt something scratching her throat and was not doing well! She told the staff and the staff only gave her a Vip 10% off discount card! Other than that, they did nothing! I will not come here to eat again because I do not want to eat to death!

Sunday oct 14/18 12pm

1. NO PARKING, me and my gf parked at an illegal place and walked in;

2. WAITED AN HOUR TO GET SERVED with a two seat table;

3. PRICE IS NOT SHOWN or indicated anywhere on the paper menu. Price is coded with ”VP SP M L XL’ that we had to ask a server who was ‘rushing by’. He wrote down the price on a piece of paper for ‘S M L XL’ then 'rushing off'. Excuse us where r the price for the “VP and SP”?

4. WAITED 20MINs FOR EACH DIM SUM TO COME and their XL dishes were literally a 3 pieces dish which were killed by us in 3mins. Then we have to wait another 20MINs with hungry stomach and empty table.

5. COLD DESSERTS WERE SERVED AT BEGINNING RIGHT AFTER A HOT DIM SUM with empty stomach. There is no order for hot food first and cold dessert last. We ordered like 8 dishes including cold desserts, got served a cold dessert right after the first hot dim sum as our second dish, we had to kill the dessert since we been waited for so long for so little food and we both r hungry. We ordered a XL congee at the beginning, thought they gonna brought us at the beginning to warm us up, they waited till the end untill we had no more mood to wait to have to cancel.

5. CHARGED FOR TEA BY # OF PEOPLE WITHOUT TELLING. A server asked us tea or water at beginning, my gf said cold water and I said tea, we later got charged for “2 tea” on our bill. My gf asked that she didn’t have tea, explained by a rude server in chinese (my gf doesn’t understand chinese) that “it’s only a couple dollars, all chinese place charge for it” It was such a disrespectful and ridiculous explanation cuz I am chinese myself, and this is our first time got charged for tea, even charged to my gf who didn’t even ordered it.

Overall this is a crazy time wasting, ripping off and rude restaurant.

If u want to experience some chinese CROWDs and RUDENESS and don’t mind they RIP you OFF on your bill at end for their so called “fine dinning” for EATING CHINESE DIM SUM IN A EUROPEAN DECORATED HOUSE, please go wasting your Sunday there!

Our go to dim sum place. Good squid tentacles, har gow, siu mai, etc. Only caveat is u gotta book an appointment otherwise good luck getting in, especially on the weekend.

My favorite dim sum in the city - fine food, fair price, good services. Scallop spinach dumpling and baked abalone pie are beautifully done. The cuisine is on the traditional side. The vibe combining upscale and casual elements for a great family meal

No vegetarian options, portions otherwise were great and delicious.
Tea was always filled and hot.

Dim sum quality has maintained high quality over the years. Menu is not as big as some other restaurants but whatever they have are done very well. Always a good meal here and service us decent. It helps if you speak Cantonese.

I've only been here once for a small Chinese wedding banquet dinner in a private room that fit two tables. From that experience I can say it was very top notch service and the dishes were all very nicely made. The only thing that slightly bothered me is that they offered wine to everyone at the table except me, and eventually took my empty wine glass away. They must have assumed I was under age.

Just amazing enjoy dim and portion are beyond generous! Variety new added versions make for pleasant surprise, be sure make reservations and when arrive get list pre order have ready handover, place makes you feel your in a castle in Europe.

This dim sum restaurant is elegant from the outside and the European decor inside presents an upscale image to match the higher than normal prices for the food choices.

I came here based on the recommendation of friends.

Parking is limited if you happen to come here during busy times. You might have to wait for a table as well, but it was not the case for me/my party.

The service staff don't seem to like their jobs. Then again, maybe I just expect that people don't walk around as if their pet recently died. Fake it if needed hence 2 stars.

The food looks good and taste is average. Couple that with the food prices, the memorable service, I'm rating this place a 3 star experience.

They change the menu of dim sum. They won't sell my most favorite one any more, crispy shrimp peach roll 沙律鮮蝦蜜桃網皮卷. It's unique and so delicious. I really hope you can sell it again. If anyone knows where I can order it, please let me know.

The decor was European design but it seemed fake because of the Chinese food and the Chinese voices. The waiters and waitresses handled the plates very causally creating clanging noises that drove me crazy. The Chinese and European mix was done very poorly as the European design did not look European enough and the Chinese food was not good enough. Contrary to the other reviews, the customer service was good. To all the other restaurants out there, PLEASE DONT MIX EUROPE AND CHINA! They are different nations, each with a different culture so DONT MIX THEM!

Came here for a friend’s engagement party. The food was okay. I expected more based on the fanciness of this place but it was just an okay dinner for me. Worth the experience tho.

They have some unique dim sum dishes that u can't find elsewhere. Taste was great! But had to wait for 1 hr 15 min for a table. So b prepared to wait.

Mediocre food (used to be way better) and not worth the high price they charge. The entire dining-out experience at this place is made so much worse by extremely rude staff, especially the 'hosts'-the guys in suits-who will stand right over your shoulder and watch as you are paying with your credit card. If only I could give this restaurant a negative star rating. This to me is the WORST dining experience you could have in Toronto.

Called for reservation at 12 pmthe night before. Came here still wait over 1 hour. The hostess doesn’t care wether you have a reservation or not. They only give the table to the people that they knew. If you try to argue with the manager about it, they will yell at you saying though u have the reservation you still need to wait. People please don’t go this place. There are hundreds of good dim sum restaurants you could go! Comments by a real Chinese guy.

Very great food with excellent service. I think only complaint is the big price compared to other dim sum places.

Over-the-top Dim Sum in an opulent Victorian atmosphere that clashes in a crazy yet pleasing way. Loved it!

Dim sum is quite good here, very comparable to that other place on Gibson nearby. However:

What's up with the service attitude? Where's the Boss? The Manager, who's responsible, has an equally poor attitude. Did every employees' parents die recently?

Nice fine dining place. I loved the dim sum for the last 13 years. Setting is very private. Few private function room we were sitting in a private room only has 4 tables

Excellent quality food! It came out quickly and tasted great. We went on a Sunday at around 11 and had to wait about 45 minutes for a table. Only downside was the price (a little bit too pricy) and the lack of parking.
