Castelli Mercato

Commendable Roman pizza, with room for improvement. Their Roman pizza was quite greasy and it seemed like they added butter. Both unusual for Roman pizza. Would prefer that they stick with the more traditional olive oil.

We found Castelli Mercato by chance over the weekend and we are so glad we did! Probably one of the best pizza places in the area that we have found. Service was great, called and ordered and they were able to fit me in. We ordered a NY style pepperoni and picked up a few slices of the Roman style when we were there. The pizza was cooked very well, the cheese was a good amount, as was the pepperoni. The sauce was very plentiful, had a good taste to it, freshly made and perfectly seasoned. The crust was amazing, cooked well and had a nice taste. Not too dense and had a good chew. Very reasonably priced at $25 for a very large pizza (if I was to guess 18”). Overall a very well made pizza, fresh ingredients and very friendly service. Will definitely add this to my favourites. I would definitely recommend you check them out if you’re in the area.

Castelli Mercato is a must try. The sandwiches, pizza and desserts are all a 10/10. So fresh and so so delicious. Absolutely fantastic food here.

Castelli Mercato and Castelli Cuchina have ruined all other restaurants for me in general as I would rather spend my money and appetite at Castelli. You can’t go wrong, just order literally anything and savour every single bite. That’s amore!

Stopped here for a sammie at lunch, it was delish! Spicy and fresh. I’ll definitely be back to get my fix.

The selection of pizzas is great and the ones I have tried are delicious. Haven't tried their pastries yet, but they look enticing. The staff are very friendly and the service is very good.

Found about this bakery through instagram. Then I realized the connection to castelli cuccina down town Hamilton. It is a small bakery that Just opened. Wide selection of delicious pizzas. Beautiful Italian baked product. The slush/ coffee/ ice team mix is Devine. Well this place is the middle of residential area in Ancaster. It will be a success period

Very skimpy on sauce and toppings on calzones and sandwiches. Pizza and pastries taste excellent though.

The one cook with the moustache and tattoos is extremely attractive and I really like him. I wonder if he’ll say yes if I ask him on a date.

We were just passing through so obviously we had to make a pit stop for pizza! I’ve been stalking this place for months and so glad we could stop. The pizza was all amazing, the staff so friendly and attentive. We didn’t get any desserts but they looked amazing. Loved the bar style pizza pick up.

Not the best first experience in terms of customer service. The only customer in the store and was ignored when walking in. Approached the girl at the counter with a warm and friendly greeting, complimenting how good everything looked, was met with a deadpan look and monotone "what can I get you? " No greeting at all, no pleasantness. Felt very cold and abrasive. Hoping it was just an off day, but I'm not sure if I'll give it another visit.

The loveliest people, the most gourmet food - made with the highest quality ingredients. Every time I visit Castelli, they are absolutely slammed and still provide the kindest service with smiles on their faces. The food is incredible and worth every penny. Go support this local gem. This place has the most worst service and the food gave my kids food poisoning. I would go anywhere besides here for adequate service and good food.

Fabulous pizza. Thick crust. Hot. Outstanding pizza chefs. Love this takeout venue. We go every week.

Pizza and pastries are so delicious and fresh. You can taste the quality ingredients. I ate them too fast to take a picture but I’ll be back!

Woooow. Want some food that hits the spot? This is the place! We had prosciutto sandwiches which were so delicious, so much flavour, so much freshness. We also got two desserts that were so good I only got a picture of half of them. Will definitely be coming back to try lots of other things. Thank you!

This place must be amazing because by the time I got there in the afternoon, they had run out of pizza dough. Apparently you have to call ahead and book your pizza. We were lucky to snag the last veal sandwich and a slice of pizza. Will definitely go back because we saw a lot of regulars coming in. We had a pistachio croissant, it was delicious. Also had the lemon ricotta cookie. It was also delicious.

Food is delicious, service was friendly and amazing. Most authentic pizza and pastries in Hamilton. Highly recommend.
