The concierge staff here lacked support and failed to provide sufficient information, displaying a concerning attitude.

My husband has been dealing with chronic sinusitis for 3+ months. We had to visit the ER 3+ times because we're still on a waitlist to get a family doctor. He went to the Princess St.walk-in clinic today and had quick, efficient service. The doctor who helped him actually listened to him and was kind and helpful. He was in and out in under an hour and left with a prescription and referral. The receptionist was also very kind when I spoke with her over the phone earlier in the day. KUDOS to this team.

Went in and waited for 5 hours about a UTI/Kidney infection. Wanted to switch antibiotics because I had a allergic reaction to one I was given by the pharmacy. Doctor did not listen to any of my symptoms and deemed me psychosomatic. Two weeks later the infection got worse to the point I was in so much pain and throwing up. I lost 12 pounds and was starting to become septic. Another doctor put me on strong antibiotics for two weeks which thankfully cleared the Kidney infection.however I still am struggling with symptoms because of how sick I got and have had to repeat ultrasounds for the last 4 months because my inguinal lymphnodes are enlarged. I also have to now see a urologist. This all could've been avoided if this Doctor did his job and listened to his patients. I'm surprised you haven't been sued. I guarantee I will never be coming back to seek help and I will continue to warn other people of the lack of care they will receive at this awful clinic.

If you want to go to the clinic with a horrible horrendous zero customer service no compassion at all receptionist, this is the place for you. I had no choice to visit this awful clinic on a Saturday after years of avoiding it and am reminded why I absolutely am disgusted with this place. Everyone in the waiting room was like don’t you love how rude and arrogant she is, she needs to retire she has been like this for years. I Was sent by the hospital to get my prescription here with letters from doctors and she would not even look at it or let me talk to a dr to explain. She told me to go somewhere else they would not help me slammed down a piece of paper and told me to call these places and just said Bye!
Why is it after years of complaints about this receptionist and her disregard for people especially in a time when they are most vulnerable, need compassion and empathy is she still employed there. This will not be my only complaint. Just making the public aware.

Can not get through to this clinic via telephone and hours are from 9am to 4pm.apparently people who work have to wait to go to the clinic on weekends. Very disappointed in the Healthcare options in Kingston!
19 September 2023 19:00
Terrible - waited for 4 hours and the attending staff were rude and impatient, they definitely don’t enjoy working there. Wouldn’t go back even if they paid me.
09 September 2023 19:00
I typically do not leave reviews however I had to share my very pleasant experience at CDK! Dr. Nguyen, the nurse and receptionist were all very kind, patient and dedicated to helping patients. I was able to have my issue quickly resolved and am now feeling much better:) thank you CDK
03 August 2023 10:29
Pleasantly surprised, since this seems to be the only live walk-in clinic in Kingston these days.got there at 830 to be 20th in line outside but was able to get seen and issues resolved by 1030. Expect that type of timing but otherwise, upfront staff and Dr. Jeffery were very friendly and helpful. Note: I went the previous day at noon and they had a sign saying they were at capacity that day, no longer taking anyone else, so you have to show up early
15 July 2023 4:39
I have visited this Clinic on two occasions, once with my father and once alone and each time went exactly the same, very well. As long as you do your research, and get there in the early morning you will be seen. The wait time can be hours, but that is how it usually goes at any busy clinic. The entire staff is always kind and makes sure to take the best care of you they can. It's always first come, first serve type situation and that's also what you would expect and it never fails. I would say we sat for minutes before the doctor entered the room. I have no complaints and I'd be very willing to return.

If you want to see an example of terrible receptionist, you will find it at this clinic. I gave 1 star just to be able to post my review.
Highly not recommended

My daughter was seen in the clinic for a sore throat. She was tested for strep but received a false negative result. Came back again and saw a more thorough doctor who wanted bloodwork. My daughter received blood work results for positive strep and went back to clinic for antibiotics. The receptionist told her that they hadn’t received results and she would have to wait until the next week. My daughter had her results in hand. I called and asked how we could get Megan seen and the receptionist was most rude and ended up hanging up on me. I could not believe that this very unhappy lady could be so unkind and deny care. She thought it was just fine that my daughter ended up at urgent care. I think this clinic should not be funded by our medical system as they do not provide comprehensive, compassionate care.

I have been a patient here for 7 years and have always had great experiences visiting the clinic. Now the clinic has just reopened to patients but we were not notified. I tried to call for a walk in phone appointment but nobody answered the phone or returned my calls. Somebody answered on the 3rd time. Kaitlyn was rude to me, told me to go to the walk in clinic on the weekend and hung up on me.

So, I went to the clinic where I was met by another secretary who said I wouldn’t be able to get my meds filled that Dr. Kozanitis had to do it after just being told to go to the clinic. I told her I would speak to the physician about it.

The physician was Dr. O’Brien who was very mean. She gave me a lecture on what the walk in clinic is for and she said it is for emergencies. I had to disagree with her because the hospital is for emergencies. But in fact needing my meds was urgent or I would have withdrawals. She was refusing to give me my medication. I was at this point very anxious. She then gave me another lecture about how my medication is my responsibility to monitor which is true but sometimes these things happen. If I had been notified of changes to the clinic I would have been more mindful.

She had now documented in my chart that I was rude and verbally abusive, when in fact my anxiety was heightened by these interactions. I think she was being a little sensitive. I am not a rude, and verbally abusive person.

I received a letter saying that this is documented in my chart and if it continues I will not be allowed there in person.

I’m just wondering why staff and physicians are allowed to be rude and verbally abusive to patients. Because we need them? I understand they have been isolated for a good part of 3 years but I really hope their professional and interpersonal skills improve. We don’t deserve this treatment.

Hard to find a doctor in Kingston causing many people to go to CDK for care. I've experienced the staff becoming more short/rude as their waiting room overflows.

They should turn their frustration on the city by advocating for the funding and resources we need. Get your placards ready.

Regarding services CDK handles prescriptions, blood work, vaccines, and reproductive care. For anything more serious go to urgent care.

Amazing staff, amazing service! This is the best walk-in clinic I have EVER been to. Thank you for all you do!
04 April 2023 5:19
Receptionist was exceptionally rude! Hostile environment! It’s because people are sick and need doctors, does not mean you’re allowed to behave like what you do!
01 April 2023 20:23
Over a period of 3 weeks i had to make 6 visits.

Mwt with Dr.leke on three of them, which were very pleasant.

To those that moan and whine about the time it takes to get in to be seen. Take into consideratuon that they are seeing easily 150+ patients daily and facilitating medical care to their core clinical patients as well. (Actual clients and not just walkins such as myself.)

Worst part of my experience was other people waiting getting upset and flustered.

The clinic itself was top notch and had A+ service in my experiences.

I was there to have a pellatt. But removed from my foot but was told they don't do those things and for me to go to hotel Deiu hospital
This place is always so clean but crowded, they have a large patient rate. But I would still recommend

If you need to see an incompetent doctor, make your way here. The quality of care and treatment sucks, so thanks Dr. Jeff
27 December 2022 13:17
I get it, it's a stressful time to be working in healthcare. However, that is no excuse for how poorly the front desk treats patients. Apathetic and rude.
25 December 2022 4:08
Please listen to the many negative reviews on here and hire better front desk staff. Appalling.
15 December 2022 15:13
Worse clinic, worse staff. I will not even give one star. I went there with two young kids as my kids were not well, they had covid symptoms but not covid positive. We were kicked out, they said we cant see pt.with covid symptoms. They said if you will not go from here we will call security. I have question to Mr. Justin our Prime Minister i pay 40% of income tax for this kind of service? I am nurse too at hospital but i never refused to see covid pt. Canada is worse place to live now.
13 December 2022 5:26
Called and they shared we needed a phone appointment first given upper respiratory issues. Tested negative for Covid. Was told someone would call in 30… no one ever did. Ended up going to emergency. Pneumonia. Can’t rely on this clinic.
27 November 2022 10:37
Every time I get in contact with the receptionist she is rude and uninterested in helping customers.
25 November 2022 5:33
The front person name KIM, she is a pathetic woman, super rude. She doesn't deserve this kind of job.there should be a complaint box or online complaint space where they can get reviews about their staff.
06 November 2022 6:02
Good pharmacist he seems to care for his customers and I like his assistant very nice caring people
28 September 2022 9:54
When I saw Dr. Valiant at the walk-in clinic here, I misheard his name as "Dr. Valium". It turns out that name would have been accurate, as he had the most calming presence of any doctor I've seen so far.
13 August 2022 4:23
I visited this office for their walk-in clinic and was very impressed. The wait was about an hour (which is far shorter than many of the other walk-in's I have been to). The doctor was amazing and helped me feel comfortable during a slightly awkward evaluation. 5 stars for sure!
09 July 2022 1:24
No doctor on staff to fill out paperwork. Was told that they only had 1 doctor who could do driver medicals but was on vacation until June. Any physician can sign the form so I'm not sure how the clinic runs without physicians.
18 November 2021 23:39
This Dr. And all his support staff are very professional and caring. I am a difficult patient, my memory is failing me, but the staff works hard to keep me on the same page. EXCEPTIONAL and Amazing and Dedicated. This practice has it all. Thank you Dr. Koz
04 September 2021 21:28
Did blood work and was told I'd receive a phone call. They sent it to my family doctor who is multiple hours away who I'm unable to see and didn't notify me or follow up. Your clinic and staff are sacrificing patient care

I was in Kingston for a work function, and I woke pretty sick. I only waited about 30 minutes and then got seen by a physician assistant. I had never heard of that before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. He did a thorough exam and actually took the time to explain things to me (unlike other walk-ins I have been to). Quick wait, quality advice and service.thanks CDK!
18 April 2020 16:48
I’m a student who has been here once before and had a good visit with one of the family physicians here so I was disappointed at what happened at my visit this time. I met with a physician assistant who when I told that I had a fever for two days and some phlegm in throat, he kept thinking that I just had the flu and was fine. And then i did a urine test and he was convinced that I could have a UTI or a kidney infection and gave me antibiotics for that. I was skeptical because he didn’t do a thorough chest exam for me and didn’t even check my breathing with the stethoscope. Finally, I decided to go to another doctor at hotel fury and get a second opinion and turns out I have pretty serious pneumonia and not a UTI. If I hadn’t gotten a second opinion, the results could have been pretty bad. Overall, I’m just disappointed that when I told him I’ve never had a fever like this before, he didn’t really listen to me that I felt like something was off with me and didn’t do a thorough enough exam. I think that the patients should be given a choice between a physician assistant or a family physician, not that it could make a difference but a choice would be nice.

I have been to this walk in clinic a few times, and had not had any issues, up until today. Back in June 2019 my husband and I were in a terrible motor vehicle accident that left me with two torn ligaments in my right ankle that required surgery. I had gone to this walk in clinic frequently after that, to get doctor's notes for work and to get my dressings changed since I had a large area of road rash. Fast forward eight months post surgery to February 2020, I had gotten home from work and was getting out of my car when I slipped on some ice and fell on my right ankle (The one that was operated on). I heard a crack, and was in pain but able to get up and go inside. I got up the next morning and my ankle was swollen, stiff and sore, so I decided to go back down to this clinic to get it examined. I was extremely worried that I had re-injured my ankle and didn't want to deal with taking time off work and all that again so I wanted to know what was wrong with it. I waited almost an hour to be seen which was fine, that's what I was expecting. I saw Dr. Kinghorn, who I had never met before. Her bedside manner is horrendous. I was explaining what happened to my ankle during the accident to give her some context as to why I was so worried about my slip on the ice, and she cut me off by saying "This story is too long, tell me why you are here". I was caught off guard by that, so I said I slipped on ice and I'm worried that I re-injured my ankle. She examined it, and told me it is just a strain, and didn't address the crack that I heard when I fell. She prescribed me a medication for the pain, and when I asked about being referred for an x ray or ultrasound to see what's going on in my ankle, she dismissed that by saying an x ray will only show the bone, not the muscle and the bone isn't broken (I get that, but I still want to know what is going on in my ankle). I asked her approximately how long I would need to take off work because she said I should rest and ice it, (I'm on my feet all day at work) and she replied with "I don't have a crystal ball, I can't tell the future. I can tell you a week but it may be longer". I understand that, but she said it in such a rude way. How hard is it to say "Everyone heals differently, I can't give you a time frame"? She was incredibly rude, and no patient should be treated the way I was. I had never had a bad experience with a doctor there up until today.

This walk in clinic is very disorganized. They tell you the wait is not long and I ended up waiting 2hours. Receptionist told me “your next” and I proceeded to wait an hour. Absolutely ridiculous. If you need to go to a walk in clinic I’d suggest going somewhere else.
25 February 2020 16:07
Necessary in the Canadian health care scenario. Have been multiple times and never been physically examined.
01 February 2020 14:36
These crooks are just that. Call one time to make an appointment for TB testing and get told "We never make appointments for that" then litterally the next weel charge me for a missed TB test appointment.

The University Wellness Walk In was closed with no explanation or indication of when they would reopen. I found CDK online and walked in. The staff were excellent (*add to it that I am very under the weather!) I saw the MD, got a prescription and was told to come back in a few days if I don't start felling better. Great Doctor, great staff, clean and organized, and really cared that I follow up! Thank you!
24 October 2019 11:14
They have the best staff in kingston and all the doctors are understanding and better the any hospital doctor
24 October 2019 0:12
I went in ONE HOUR before closing with a fever and a sore throat, nothing harsh enough to need the emergency room but surely bad enough that I needed a doctor. One hour before closing they tell me they are not taking anymore patients and they refuse me. I don’t understand why a medical clinic is open for only 4 hours on a weekend and they refuse patients after only working for 3. It was ridiculous. I do not understand why they have 3 stars. I would give them zero if I could.
03 October 2019 21:13
Visited on a Saturday and saw Jean-Marc. I think it was his first day working at this clinic. I was in and out in an hour and everyone was very helpful and polite.
26 September 2019 12:25
Great Clinic, Super Helpful. I do wish it wasn't so far from my house, I have POTS (Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) so it's hard to walk far distances without feeling like i'm going to pass out. They should make another CDK Walk in Clinic near the Giant Tiger area of Kingston. If they could do this that that would be awesome. I love the doctors & staff, pharmacists & reception ladys. There all super nice & very professional. I go to this Walk in Clinic a lot.it's great! Just wish there was a walk in clinic in my area. Thanks:)
21 September 2019 5:08
Went in with a friend for a check up on Saturday. There was a long wait. Waited one hour for our turn and then gave the medical card and then had to wait another hour for our actual meeting with the doctor. The doctor was able to give proper medication for the problem. The pharmacy had what we wanted and the issue was resolved in a couple weeks.
There’s no parking nearby as it’s in downtown Kingston. I would recommend going to their other branch which is not in downtown. Overall, they were able to finish what we came for. The rush is not in their hands so that can’t do anything about it.
20 August 2019 13:07
Love the doctors here! Better than sitting at emerge for 4 to 6 hours and the doctors seem to care!
19 August 2019 9:21
I have nothing but good things to say about my experience at this walk-in clinic. I have been suffering severe allergies and what I didn’t know what was an eye infection for over a week. I called my family doctor who told me it would be a month wait to get in. After driving an hour to get to this walk-in clinic, because my town doesn’t have any, I was in and out in 20 mins. Dr. Yen was not only knowledgeable she took time to understand my concern and ask questions about my condition. We need more places like this.
26 July 2019 1:19
Showed up 15 minutes before close with poison ivy on my eye and was refused service. The reception staff was extremely rude and the doctor refused to see me. Very dissapointed and can't believe they have 3 stars. Will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau.
29 May 2019 23:08
Best Care in Kingston! Doctors are thorough understanding & caring.
It took me 4ever to get a family doctor 17 years in fact of going on a walk in basis and being bumped from physician to physician. I know most all the Doctors at CDK. Now my doctor is the head honcho himself & see only him all the time. Good things come to those who wait. Patience/Patients are a virtue! (pardon the pun).
21 March 2019 16:11
My partner went here to address some issues she had waking up during the night. The inexperienced physician's assistant drastically overreacted and contacted the Ministry of Transportation to suspend her driver's license and now our family is unable to pay the bills as she was currently the sole source of income for the household. No amount of pleading would reverse this heartless decision. Don't go here.
08 February 2019 3:55
The reception is so rude. I was standing there for 5 minutes while they were talking and it didn't seem work related just for them to tell me that they are not accepting any patients anymore. This is at 4PM and they close at 5. I only need to get my med form signed for my school program, and my schedule is tight so I can't make it earlier than 4. I called them earlier and they said if I come at 4 I would be fine. This form has been due and these.people can't take 2 seconds out of their day to sign a damn form. This is the first review Ive ever made because nothing elseelse ever been so frustrating. Kingston hasn't been a great home for me at all.
22 December 2018 3:44
I'd had the flu for over a week, was having trouble breathing, and eventually couldn't swallow. Pain was unreal. Hadn't slept more than 20 minutes in 3 days. I saw a Physician Assistant (Evan Earl) who was patient and compassionate as I tried to mumble and hack the words out, and after a bunch of tests, concluded a secondary bacterial pneumonia, and prescribed me Amoxicillin (which I get is a big deal) with an inhaler. Well, I guess he called it right. Not more than 24 hours later I managed to sleep 6 hours, my throat pain is almost gone, and I can breathe again. The rest of the staff was awesome as well. Thanks so much CDK!
16 October 2018 21:19
My daughter went in yesterday with two compaints - a lesion on her back that won’t stop bleeding and a sore throat (prone to strep). She waited two hours and finally saw a very cold doctor. She was dismissive, sarcastic and patronizing.told her she could not deal with two issues so “pick one”. I get that this is a policy but people should come before policy - how long does it take to swap a throat.she blew off her problem and offered zero solution or resolution. The appointment lasted no more than two minutes.

I complained to clinic and received a positive call from the staff. The doctor was not one of the regular doctors and they offered to see her again so.there is hope.
