Cedar Hill Christmas Tree Farm

This was our first time visiting the Cedar Hill Tree Farm.
The experience was just great.
Wonderful family experience.

What a great tree farm! Fabulous selection, many types and sizes. We particularly like how they shake and wrap the trees for transport and that the trees last a long time at home without losing needles. We've been going here for the last few years for our tree and always look forward to the visit. The kids loved the mini saws this year too. Great spot, we feel we get value for visiting too.

The whole family had a great experience. The trees are great quality, staff were great, well staffed, had all the equipment needed and the kids loved the play area (especially the zip line). Will be going back next year.

Our first time cutting down our own tree and we were not disappointed. We’ll definitely be back next year, and every year. Great people, thanks for an awesome and memorable day.

What a wonderful place. Filled with care and joy of the season, and staffed with the friendliest folks. From pumpkin patch trailer rides to hot chocolate in front of a crackling hardwood fire, visit the farm.

Local produce and crafts make it fun for the shoppers in the family too.

For me the covered bridge was the best.

A stunning quintessentially north American setting especially during autumn and Christmas - worth visiting just for that. Beautiful, quite famous covered bridge that gets used in a few movies is very much worth checking out.

There's a large shop with various mainly Christmas themed goods and food from local suppliers which while quite expensive is of high quality. In the corner of the store is a kitchen where you can purchase a small range of food and drinks like soup, stew and a range of sweet pies, coffee and cider (non alcoholic) which is pretty good value actually.

There's quite a lot to do for younger kids definitely enough to kill a couple of hours. My son especially enjoyed playing in the sand pit and older kids probably head for the zip line! Come mid November they start selling Christmas trees but it's still very much worth a trip anytime I think for a family outing. Other than the obvious it's all free so even better and plenty of parking too.

This is an amazing place for families to visit! The amount of outdoor activities for children ranges from a zipline, a hay maze Castle, play structures and amazing colors and views. This is also a fantastic place to take family pictures. We love going there in the fall and pre-Christmas months to buy different holiday decorations. This place has been a pre holiday staple and tradition for our family.

Lovely Christmas shop. Great family outing in the country, makes for a fun afternoon with a nice drive out from Ottawa, it's just the right distance for the kids not to say, "are we there yet" too many times. Zip lines, wagon rides and hay bale castles, for the kids.

This place is amazing! Very friendly and helpful staff. Great selection of trees, nice gift shop, and warm beverages/treats. Great photo op spots set up around the farm. We love that we can bring our dog with us, and we love seeing all the other pups too. We now live 50 min away and feel it is well worth the drive!

I came here for the first time as the farm I usually go to is closed this year. Cedar hill had an incredible selection of trees (keep in mind I went late November) lots of parking and most importantly every staff member was extremely friendly and helpful. Great antique truck for pictures near the shops and I would have to say my tree this year is the nicest one I’ve ever had. I will definitely be back

Second year here, always so beautiful and nice trees. Kids love all the play structures, zip line, sledding, tractor ride, and especially the stacked hay fort. Both years we've come at 4pm and crowds have generally left by then.

Fun experience for the whole family. Beautiful trees, fun wagon rides, tons of activities for kids, a Cafe and a great gift shop full if beautiful little ornaments and gifts. In the words if my 5 year old "they have the most nice and kind people here to help everyone".

We have bought our Fraser trees there for years. Pam is awesome. First time going this early but will add a pumpkin pie to this year's order! Great fall items and ideas and a great way to extend their season. Highly recommended.

Family Tradition. Great place and selection of trees, but what makes it special are the people!

This is the 4th year in a row that we have gone to Cedar Hill for our Christmas tree.
It was raining this year so not quite the same experience as past years. Even with the rain our boys loved the tractor ride out to the trees. There is a great selection of trees and they last a long time once you get them home.
Since you can't eat inside this year we got some cookies to go and the kids loved them.

Gorgeous tree farm! Every tree in the row was beautiful, we could have chosen any one. Everyone working were pleasant and very helpful. We will be back next year!

Amazing experience every year! This is our 7th year choosing and cutting our tree with our kids and always head home happy after spending a fabulous day there.

We went for fall colours. It was great scenery! They served pancakes and had a wagon ride available as well as a beautiful covered bridge and a cute little shop.

Great spot to bring the family and if you're into having real trees come Christmas time, we saw some very nice, full trees growing and the needles were actually quite supple (no idea what happens once the tree is cut and it starts drying) but have to say it looked better than our fake tree

We are looking forward to cutting our tree here again this year. We've done it a few different places but tried Cedar Hill last year and it was by far the best tree we've ever had. The tree itself was the nicest looking tree and lasted about a month and bit no problem. The whole experience with the kids was top notch and they loved it. This place will be a tradition for us going forward. The kids love playing on the grouds after we cut the tree while my wife and I get something to eat and have some hot chocolate. Added bonus is that you get a coupon for for Fulton's Pankake House which we always use in the spring.

The prices here are very fair. We paid $50 for a 7ft u-cut tree. The farm is also run well, and they rotate fields annually to make sure the trees are great quality and that there is plenty to choose from. This was quite different than our experience at two other farms last year where we ended up paying double for a pre cut from Nova Scotia (after scouring several acres of reject trees). I was impressed with Cedar Hill Tree Farm - We'll be back again next year! Thanks for the great experience!

Fantastic Experience for all ages! My grandchildren loved the straw bale maze, the zip line, the wagon ride and of course Santa. Friendly, helpful staff, excellent selection of trees, well priced.

Great place to cut your own Christmas tree, just outside of Ottawa. Family oriented, lots of activities and well organized. Small food bar, nothing fancy. Second time back. Definitely plan for a half day to fully enjoy the experience.
