Large and spacious CF Mall in Markham with big box stores including Walmart, Best Buy, Toysrus, Sporting Life, Decathlon and Homesense/Winners. Many shops are catered towards Asians too, including Luk Fook Jewellers and various bubble tea places. The food court has a decent selection, but could use more restaurants to bring 8t on par with other CF malls. They have Tesla Superchargers, and only a few Flo chargers that get frequently blocked by ICE vehicles.

The only mall close to our home. Have been going there for many years. Also been going since our son was a baby. Great stores, love that they have a Walmart there.

Pros: Decathlon is a very welcoming addition to the mall and I hope it stays. St Germain and Hazukido have good quality food. Sometimes they have nice events that are fun for families. There’s a nursing room in the upper level women’s bathroom.

The rest of the mall is pretty standard as malls go.

Cons: spotty cellular reception. I’ve only seen a live person once at Guest Services. A glass ceiling that’s covered by bird poop. There food court is on the boring side. Not enough cleaning staff to keep the tables clean at busy times. One or two food stalls keep changing ownership and it‘s bad for morale. The most unforgiving fact is that the women’s bathrooms (both of them, next to the food court and on the upper level) have a persistent smell of stale urine. One time at 9: 30am… How does that even happen?

Lame: this mall used to offer free wifi, which was sorely needed because of spotty cellular reception in that area. But now it tries to collect your personal data… (A&W and Uniqlo have free wifi.)

Two thumbs down: the CF Mall gift certificates. Do not buy them. The mall will charge you a fee to “activate” them (this was true as of December 2022). You’ll have to download their app or use their website to check the balance, which might be difficult if you’re at the mall (bad reception, lame wifi service and name-only guest service). And not all stores’ point-of-sale systems can deduct the mystery remainder balance automatically if it’s less than your bill - instead they fail to go through and you’ll have to just use your card or cash anyways. And the cards expire (not the balance, but the physical card. And you’ll have to get in touch with CF customer service to figure it out.)

Luckily, Decathlon’s payment system can actually do math and let you use up the remaining balance, so 5 stars for Decathlon.

2.5 stars for CF Markville though. Just save all your money and go to any mall in Japan.

All jokes aside, there are good stores and businesses inside the mall, but the mall needs to step up to provide a better experience for the people who take the time to visit.

Seems a bit busier these days.guess some ppl are shopping for the holidays or trying to get eom ideas or find deals.
13 October 2023 22:13
It's a bit of a hassle to find parking on weekends. It's two floors, so expect to walk a bit to find what you're looking for.
12 October 2023 8:01
Been a couple of years since we visited the mall. Have you changed your cleaning vendor? Ladies washrooms were DISGUSTING and needed a clean + the smell of urine was overwhelming. We stopped at a local restaurant to use their facilities. Do better!

Nice and clean. Usual mall-like crowd. I've noticed there is little to no security control over the wannabe kids smoking their vape indoors usually around the seating areas.
28 July 2023 21:16
Pretty decent mall with decent shops. There’s brands like Nike, Adidas, Roots, Aritiza and more. There’s also a Best Buy for my electronic lovers, and a food court that is sure to male you feel satisfied. I feel like this mall is a bit small but considering where it’s built, I would say it’s pretty decent. Overall a good place to shop and enjoy

A very nice & well maintained shopping mall, with big anchor department stores and stores of all other popular brands. A large clean modern food court with a good selection of food vendors featuring a large variety of cuisines. Nice atmosphere and great vibes for family shopping.
15 February 2022 14:18
Ok mall. Big mall with small parking space. Plan ahead for parking if going to build so many stores.
27 January 2022 10:23
Mall is not doing anything about maskless patrons. Also no hand sanitizer. I guess a call to Public Health is in order

Not too busy. Able to find parking fairly easy. There's a shoe repair store, called Odeon, near the Mall entrance, next to WalMart. They've been there for over 30 years. I've had heels replaced, bought shoelaces, shoe polish, bought rubber boots to protect my dress shoes and took in a leather glove to get the seam repaired.the stitching came out. Very reasonable pricing. Excellent work. I'm so glad this store is still around.you don't see many stores like this one. Very nice owner!
15 January 2022 13:37
Very good selection of stores with lots of walking space, decent food court and lots of parking.
06 January 2022 2:11
Lots of shops. Eb games, starbucks, best buy, walmart to name a few. There are several Tesla superchargers.
04 January 2022 14:04
Really big mall, nobody social distancing sum even without face masks. Very hot inside due to a lot of people. Great place to shop. Well laid out. Great stores.
26 December 2021 8:01
Covid protocols in the mall is a farce.
People don’t follow the one way directional signage! And there is no enforcement. Also the security staff themselves don’t follow the protocols.
In the cafeteria seating area, security staff don’t scan the security code. They just ask to see the vaccine certificate, and don’t check with identification!
People sit in the cafeteria area for hours, while signage says 1/2 hr max.
CF management need to enforce Covid protocols and rules!
22 December 2021 4:43
This is the perfect middle ground between a Yorkdale and a low end mall. It's classy enough where you have some good stores and nice shoppers and value is good where you usually find afew things are to buy. Parking is never an issue
17 December 2021 4:46
A lot of parking space, consciences of the location, amazing store available, it was busy before COVID-19, a few stores shut down now, better to visit before or after the rush hours
08 December 2021 4:30
Clean, good store selection, there's always enough parking if you don't care to be super close to the entrances.

You want an honest review of this mall? Well I have two versions depending on what you believe makes a mall good. Some people want the biggest brands, high end stores, extra services, and special treatment (valet, coat-check, etc). While others want a mall that fosters a sense of community, not just a place to shop.

I was born and raised in Markham. I remember the fountain, the mint green railings, the pet store where we got our first dog, the food court upstairs. I've been coming to Markville my entire life and in recent years it has come to reflect the economic issues suburban towns like Markham face. As the Canadian government allows more and more foreign investment and ownership, the value of Canadian labour becomes worth less. This is evident in the housing market- which in 2000 the average four bedroom detached home was around 200-300k, whereas now it is 1-1.2M in Markham. An astonishing rise because Markham has become a landing point for wealth immigrants from Hong Kong and other East Asian countries. Markville mall reflects this trend. The stores have become gentrified, mom and pop shops stand no chance, and the upper class demands luxury and designer stores.

Now, to some extent this is how a normal economy works. However, in Markham the upper class has taken over to an extent that many of the people born here can no longer afford to live here. The stores in the mall cater to people in 100k+ income brackets, people that can buy a million dollar home just to tear it down and build a McMansion on the lot (I'm looking at you Unionville). So in regard to the review, Markville does what some people expect of a mall. It houses luxury brands targeted towards the upper class, particularly wealthy immigrants from China as seen by brands such as LukFook, Uniqlo, Muji, St. Germaine, and so forth. On the other hand, this mall has also failed to provide the sense of community that other people expect. There are very few events that draw Markhamites to the mall, and the poorer half of us just can't afford most of the stores. This will only get worse with inflation and the wealth-divide will continue to grow.

It's no wonder people born in Markham often resent the rich foreigners.

I was at the mall the other day and I just want to say the service at Guest Services was so great. Sasmila was so sweet and so helpful. She helped me find the apple store. Service was so great that I will come to the mall again. There should be more people like Sasmila!
23 July 2021 22:23
Most of stores are re-open in the mall, people keep distance and wear mask which is good. Wish we can have everything back to normal asap.
16 July 2021 9:34
Glad to see the mall is reopen now. Everyone still wears mask which is great for this special time. Not all the shops are open though, but expect everything back to normal in the next few weeks.
14 July 2021 16:12
Lots of different stores, complying with covid restrictions. Because of the restrictions, shops can only have a certain number of people (25% normal capacity) at a time, so there are often lines outside popular stores if you come in at a busy time.
12 July 2021 23:14
I received an email yesterday CF Markville that mall is open with 15% mall capacity. I went there today with my family including 1 year old boy to return and buy some stuff and found doors are closed except entrance 1 and Hudson's bay entrance. Security guard told me to go to any brand I will have to call them and they will come to the entrance and carry me to their store. This is ridiculous. If you are close don't send email that you are open. What a waste of time? Unfortunately there is no zero stars.
06 May 2021 21:35
It is a nice place to shop at. Store staff are more friendly than other shopping malls. I will definitely go back.
03 May 2021 14:13
Outstanding retail! Bring your patience with you. Shopping during the pandemic is a challenge but is today's reality.
20 April 2021 8:05
Great mall nice and clean not many people Good quality of stores mostly no lines up the odd one has I recommend going help out the businesses ther
17 April 2021 21:15
One of the malls I enjoy going to. It gets really packed during the weekends. Recommend going on weekdays, they're open till 7pm.
22 March 2021 4:15
Very clean environment. Patrons follow infection control practices. Orderly shopping experience. You may want to use the screening app before going to make you entry easier and efficient.
20 March 2021 23:03
Hi everyone, if you don't want to standing outside the mall in the cold weather, please scan this QR code and do all the questions before you enter the mall. It's the COVID-19 customer screening. And then just the result to the security guy.
20 March 2021 10:39
Nice clean mall. Stores have good variety. Parking is never an issue. Walmart here is a big plus. Food court is nice. Washrooms are clean. Accessible via ttc bus from Scarborough Center Station terminal.
19 March 2021 21:10
Markville is my favourite in the area. Almost everything available and sometimes I love to just wander there. Must visit.
12 February 2021 17:16
This mall is 5 minutes from home and has significantly changed for the better over the years since Cadillac Fairview took over with better stores and restaurants. Plenty of parking spots and not as busy as let’s say. Yorkdale Mall. Convenient and decent mall to go to when I need to get some shopping done.
13 January 2021 7:49
Security checking to see why you're going to the mall. Still a few places open like parts of the food court.
Pickup stations and selective entrances to manage people coming in
24 February 2019 10:17
A nice place for shopping that most brands could be found here.new stores gave it lots of fresh touch.
22 February 2019 19:34
Great mall for regular shopping experience. Most of the brand name shops like Banana republic, Nike, Addidas, H &M, Winners, Apple, Bay available. Number of unique Japanese stores provide different selection of authentic items.
08 February 2019 6:51
I don’t think this mall is ever quiet or dead. Expect to wait in line for any of the stores - if not, crowded stores. However, I was quite surprised at how helpful everyone was! People were so open and outgoing to offer help - super friendly as well!
04 February 2019 0:22
Nice place, very clean and huge mall with lesser crowd. There's a huge eatery on level 1. Lot of stores with good deals.
03 February 2019 17:57
Had a lot of stores like walmart or bestbuy etc, but people kept looking at me like they know me from somewhere
28 January 2019 5:39
Good mall. Like the layout n store variety. Clean. Good variety of stores. Good variety of services and stores for kids as well as adults.food court might need more variety.
14 January 2019 18:01
Beautiful and clean looking mall. They've have some facelifts over the years and they've made them count! It's not a modern layout as you can't walk around and come back to where you were, but there are modern stores in every arm of this mall. The food court is an Express Eatery with a lot of cultural variety. There is a lot of parking as well. As long as you don't mind a decent walk, there is easy parking. Also, the decorations they constructed for Christmas are really fun!
10 January 2019 1:00
High end brands are all here now, great place to shop. They are beginning to add additional parking spots at this mall now. Gets crowded quite quickly, not enough sitting areas, benches.
03 January 2019 19:07
Really new and nice mall with anything you need! Not a huge one but good enough to walk for half a day~
20 December 2018 9:10
Excellent Mall, only too many babies are crying making mess I think such peoples should be allowed at ground floor only because when they walk with stroller they occupied 4 people space. I didn't c so many stroller in any shopping mall in my life, as I find in CF Markville. Hahahaha.
06 December 2018 14:06
Clean, smells good, the ambiance is bar none. The stores are well stocked and very presentable. Pricy but upscale neighborhood.

I went to the Goodlife gym attatched to the mall. One of their employees hit me with a piece of equipment. When I explained the situations to the manager Geovanna she didn't take it seruously at all. She totaly dismissed it. I kept trying to tell but she jjst cut me off. She said "it's obvious you are not happy here so I will cancel your membership" then hung up the phone on me. Three days later and they still withdrew money from my account. This is despicable. Markville mall Goodlife is just despicable!
23 October 2018 5:21

What a beautifull mall. It can compete with the best of them. The Bay has been completely transformed. You can buy a Benz.
