Great hours of operation, clean, and a variety of groceries. Also, it still price matches, which is definitely a bonus with the ridiculous prices of groceries going around lately. No one was to waste gas driving location to location to save $5-$10 overall on a couple of grocery items, just to spend just as much or more money on gas and wasted time. Especially if the item is sold out. Will definitely be shopping here regularly.

This place needs quality control. Food inspection needs to be monitored plus there has to be some penalty or strict rules on customers about the products left open. I was there this morning and saw the open boxes kept in there. I do not know if this was any customer or the staff but this needs to be checked. This is getting worse day by day.

I have been going there for 3 years. Good for a quick grocery shopping for a somewhat reasonable rate. The fresh meat stalls are good, however, the fresh vegetables and fruits are not always fresh and may go stale in just a few days. So, don't buy in bulk and be careful in selecting them.

On 25th Oct 2022 I bought packaged snacks, Greek Yogurt tub and got home to see the produce expired in 2020. Called the mgr and told him to check the rest of the inventory and he confirmed he moved out 4 cases. Today 9th of Dec I met the manager who I spoke to and he asked me for the receipt. I told him not looking for a replacement l was looking to see if they fixed the issue. Obviously not I got the head office on line and got an employee to confirm they had expired product on display for sale. Please check expiry before you buy anything at this store. This manager is very busy and obviously has no time to address customer issues.

It contains alot of south asian grocery items and Halam meat which is why we go there always. Great place for groceries

I love this grocery store, everything is available there. All kind of Pakistani, indian, Trinidad, European grocery specially HALAL MEAT section. You don’t have to go from place to place. Theeee best.

I wish it have 0 star the staff is soo rude i had a hand surgry and thay throw my grocre away i told her to put it near bye me but shivani make fun of me and say u can take it from there.i am soo disappointed.i never go again

Today, while shopping with my friend at this store, I realized what it really means to deal with rude, and uncivilized people who disrespect the sanctity of the workplace and customers, and how sad when they turn out to be the store manager, supervisor and cashier (although they don’t even look like one) It was around 9pm, on Tuesday, April 13th, when we finished shopping and wanted to checkout. Everything was fine except the cashier, a young girl with dark skin color, whose name was Ahmane. She was nervous and unquestionable, disrespectful in her movements and discussion, she was giving us attitude and shrugging off as I asked her something, I told myself maybe she had a hard day and asked for another worker to come check me out. The cashier kept yelling and cussing in front of all the people there. She looked 15 or 16 years old and apparently one of the manager’s or the supervisor’s family members. Then came the supervisor, a dark skin colored girl whose name was Alexia, and to my disappointment, she was more impudent and did not pay any attention to what I was saying, never looked me in the eye and kept defending her coworker even-though she saw and heard everything and she knew that the cashier was not at right. After all this, comes the manager. This was not the first time I was seeing her, and all of my relatives and friends who lived in the neighborhood used to complain about her rudeness. A plump girl with a dark skin color, she refused to give me her name and gave me her badge number instead #802731. And to my surprise and shock, she was the most outrageous, rude, and disrespectful out of them all. I explained to her although she never looked at me, she was so unfriendly and impatient and even scary! I told her that the cashier called me a liar, yelled at me, mimicked me, was extremely rude and disrespectful and I asked how can a store this big and popular be so poor in their customer service and professionalism! This is how she replied to me in a sarcastic accent: “have a good night”
It felt like they were a gang or something, anything but customer service representatives!
Such a miserable and disgraceful experience at a store like Freshco!

For everyone seeing my review, avoid being at this place if you want your shopping experience to lack rudeness and disrespect.

Such a bad experience in Chalo freshco. Everytime I visit this place there are always long queues for checkout. Moreover no self checkout. Never ever recommend this place for groceries.

This is the most disgusting Chalo I have ever been to. Randy really needs to be told rotting meat is a violation of public health and not $5 OFF. Expect Ontario Health Inspections soon.

Dealing and keeping of store is good however printed price labels are not correct, prices came out more on bills than originally labeled on shelves this creates harassment for customers and we end up with unexpected bills … that’s not good

The lines are always TERRIBLE. Including the express. I avoid coming here, even though it is right next to my house as I will ALWAYS be in line longer than 20-30mins.even if I'm grabbing JUST eggs

Never too crowded, staff is very accommodating. I always got help and there are so many counters that you do not have to wait much

The queue is not managed well. The security guard is very rude. And when we told her Costco queue is so well managed she told us to go to Costco and accused us of harassment There should be some staff who evenly distribute the queue not just force people to go the last counter as it’s happening now.

Lack of Staff, improper cleaning, dirty floor, they have to be shut down please check other locations don't recommend to all

If you crave for Indian food then this is a place for you specially the ice cream (rabdi kulfi)

Plenty of bad experience with the cashier, my mother was not able to pick up the water bottle cases due to back issues and the cashier did not help what so ever, even after asking for help the cashier stood there with her arms crossed and waited. Horrible service and 0 customer service skills

I moved from one area to another in brampton. I was thinking that without my grocery I am one hungry panda. However, this freshco full filled my desire. I am no more confused to buy my groceries from this huge and always available with fresh food items.

Produce is very poor quality, usually bruised or moldy. Always check expiry dates if you shop here especially on sale items because they seem to have alot of expired goods.

This store has Unprofessional staff, today harvinder cashier billed my stuff but she is totally insane unprofessional under trained person. She had ZERO customer service skill. Even the manager needs training badly and also she needs to learn manners. They people should learn Canadian businesses based on customer service but this store has worse staff I have ever seen. I will make sure none of my known people visit this store for any kind groceries or any other thing.

Beware guys if you are buying fish from this location:
employees need to be educated to know the difference between fish steak and whole fish, today I endup arguing with one of the casher to show the difference between these two, still she didn't believe me and charging me for the whole fish, until I call the manager to show the difference to her

The cash out experience makes it one of the worst retail stores. Does not matter if there are 3 people in the queue or 30, you always have to wait extremely long as they never have enough checkout counters open.

The last 2 times I was in the store there was one huge line up from the first cashier all the way to the other end of the store! There were only 2 cashiers open and no separate line for express. People running in for a few items like myself were stuck waiting in line. I waited the first time around, this time I left my items and walked out! This store needs some self check outs and the express lane open and accessible at all times! It's barbaric! Really unimpressed!

Why are there 3+ customers at the cash counter. Follow the safety guidelines please. The girl managing the line doesn't seem to care about safety, just how fast she can be done with the line.

Edit - It has been just one week since we entered Step 1 and the employees have already stopped caring about social distancing. The man (employee) himself told me to keep moving up the line and not care about social distancing

It is a grocery store where you can find all of the items.i love to go to freshco because here i can find my all groceries.

Produce quality is poor, fair at best. Small fruit, overripe or rotting already. Unfortunate. Panache Ice Creams and cheesecakes are good though.

Expired food especially if it’s on sale. Literally batches of product that expired a month ago smh. You would think with everything going on stores would take health and safety more seriously, even though they should have always been doing this but not here.

Probably the worst store. No social distancing rules are followed. Checkout staff is very rude, jam-packs customers and violate every rule in the book.

My go to place for grocery shopping. Just wish the fruits were of a better quality. I've bought oranges thrice and all of them have been bitterly sour

My wife and I have been to other Chalos but nothing like this 1. Staff made sure everyone that was lined up outside did not have to wait for such a long period. Quality of food is much better then other Chalo grocery stores.

Today I had the worst experience in Chalo freshco. Yesterday I shopped in chalo freshco and bought Kurkure masala. After coming home I ate the Kurkure masala and it tasted different. Then I checked the expiry date. It was expired long back in Dec 2020. Then I went today to inform the same to the customer service manager. She was not showing any curtesy towards customer it resembles they do not care about their customers. She mentioned that they pile up the snacks like mountains and they didn’t check the expiry date.
To cross check I have went to the place where they keep the Kurkure snacks and observed that 90% of the items are expired in 2020 some are expired in November.

After this conversation I got to know that they are not following any health and safety guidelines. The pictures I uploaded is the one I took from the store.

When checking out there is no space for people to pack up their groceries while still social distancing effectively. Arrows were in place for the isles to direct the flow. No staff directing or enforcing directions and distancing inside.

Thursday, I got brokley from frescho.later, i realized that it there were some insects.it was my lunch for work and i starved all day.moreover, i already had one bite of it due to which i am suffering from food poisoning

Very close to the 427 highway. The sites was clean and there is plenty of parking available. They have placed all safety precision and equipment in place for covid to keep your distance. Good selection of consumer goods and produce. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even went out of their way to get a product from the back. I would go back again.

Store is organized but given these are tough times due to the pandemic, the store staff is not cleaning the belt or cashier stations regularly. Still there are long lineups

Good visit. Not many carts to choose from when I arrived. Aisles are a bit tight although well marked for directional travel. Lots of Nestle water ($1.99) in stock. Lineup for cashiers moves well, I like that someone was telling us which # to use.

Went here for the first time.this store is chaos. Bags of flour, ripped open and flour everywhere. Trash all over the floor in many areas. Not returning. We left and did not make a purchase.

Wish they had an aisle map. Hard to locate items. Great stop for all groceries, good quality produce!

The best grocery store in Brampton! Chalo Freshco is the cheapest grocery store I've ever been to. The employees are very polite and helpful, fruits and vegetables are always fresh, no product is ever out of stock. Best place for Indian, Canadian, and international grocery shopping. What ever you need, Chalo FreshCo always has it. The store itself is also very clean. Would recommend this grocery store to everyone!

Excellent store. It has been my go to store during Covid especially as they had strict protocols in place. I felt very safe there.and although I live in Toronto, make the trip to Brampton to do most of my grocery shopping. In fact, it is one of the only stores I feel safe to take my mother who is in the vulnerable age group to shop. The store is clean and has such an amazing variety of fruits, veggies and international foods. It is huge and well organized. Bravo Chalo! Great job!

Freshco is always a great place to shop but today the employee at Aman Meat Shop was keeping mask below chin. Looked like he was not interested in following the safety guidelines issued by the City and Public Health. He was putting the safety of customers shopping in store at risk.

Great prices just don't like how there handling the Covid 19 situation as sometimes there is a huge line for checkout wrapping around the back of the store and at other times they make you wait outside so the lineup for checkout can clear up and then once you go inside from waiting outside the store is literally empty and there is still a lineup for checkout

Hilarious customer service. Even store owner needs some training how to deal their regular customer during this pandemic.

Butcher section is nice I come here all the time. Sometimes you have to check expiry dates but otherwise good

Always expired item on sale. Please check date before buying. I got expired item 3rd time in raw.
For example, I bought product on 28th april and product already expired on 24th april

Please be careful everyone. They are smart enough to sell expire items and make money.

No one will go back to return for $2.00 - $4.00 items. Specially in pandemic situations. And this place is taking well advantage of it.

Worst customer care. Owner doesn’t care for customers.
Be careful for your belongings. When i ask store owner to check security camera for my stolen valuables including shopping cart, he said i don’t have time to do that.
He was very rude.

We had an experience with Store owner Randy. Someone else has stolen out cart while we were shopping. We reported to store manager instead of helping us he rudely denied and told us he will jot check cameras as he ja busy. This means he will not help customer who is in actual need but the customer with thief mentality.

Poor customer service! Manager don’t care if he looses a customer like us. Ya but he want to protect customer who doesn’t have right behaviour

They carry pretty much all foods for all ethnicities
But mainly serve the more prominent ethnicity in the area which is a bonus for there sales and customer service

Good variety, halal meat option, a bit too crowded on weekends so takes longer to check out. Could maintain cleanliness specially around the vegetable fruits section. Great place overall!

This branch is exclusive in catering to Indian community. The prices are competitive and value for money.

Went looking for Indian spices I couldn't find in North York and found nearly everything I needed! Great variety there. They also have an excellent butcher section with lamb, goat and veal.

The cashier # 2 is said items from one to 8 express But the cashier I not following that and keep taking more than 8 and it is around 20 to 30 items customers and this is not right, I called the manager and he said I will call her but still doing it and I was in the line more than n10 mins.

Happy with this FreshCo. I have never had any issues here. Good prices and satisfied with the produce and meats. I never find it too busy but perhaps it's because I go on weekdays in the morning
