Went for fireworks, I loved everything there! Best presentation. I actually enjoyed it more than Clifton Hill! I was very surprised by the amazing turn out.
We were here in early spring. Easy to park, big park space, our dogs loves the water, you can have a picnic, see the sunset. Bathroom available too! Just amazing hide place
Charles Daley Park is an absolute treasure, deserving of every one of its five stars. Here's why I adore this place:
Scenic Beauty: This park's location along the shores of Lake Ontario provides awe-inspiring views. The tranquil and picturesque setting makes it a haven for relaxation and picnicking.
Perfect for Picnics: Families and friends will love the well-maintained picnic areas, complete with tables and benches. It's an ideal spot for gatherings, picnics, barbecues, or simply enjoying a meal outdoors.
Exploration Awaits: Nature enthusiasts will relish the walking trails that let you immerse yourself in the park's natural beauty while savoring the lakefront scenery. It's perfect for leisurely strolls or brisk walks.
Family-Friendly: With a playground for kids, Charles Daley Park caters to families. Children can have a blast here, and it's a family-friendly destination.
Exciting Events: Keep an eye out for events and gatherings, including outdoor concerts and community activities. There's always something special happening to enhance your visit.
Birdwatcher's Paradise: Birdwatching enthusiasts will be thrilled with the park's proximity to Lake Ontario, which makes it an ideal spot to spot various bird species along the lakefront.
Unforgettable Sunsets: Charles Daley Park is renowned for its breathtaking sunset views over Lake Ontario. It's a must-visit for couples and photographers seeking to capture the beauty of the setting sun.
A Personal Retreat: Personally, I find myself visiting frequently, sometimes just to sit back, sip a cup of coffee, and soak in the tranquil atmosphere. It's a perfect escape.
But, alas, there's a perplexing downside. Despite numerous garbage cans scattered throughout the park, it's disheartening to witness some individuals littering. Let's all do our part to preserve the park's pristine beauty.
And finally, a little secret tip: Don't forget to visit for fireworks displays! Witnessing the towns along the circumference of Lake Ontario light up with fireworks is nothing short of spectacular. It's an experience that's too good not to share.
Oh, and kayaking is another popular activity here that you shouldn't miss. Charles Daley Park truly has something for everyone!
Well secured (security guards patrolling enforcing rules). Well maintained. LIVE maintenance. Alot of people but not TONS. Beach is pretty good too just be sure to bring ur beach umbrellas. Highly recommended.
Bel endroit pour faire une escale. Bien aménagé, plusieurs tables à pique-nique et bancs, vue superbe sur le lac Ontario. Il y a même une plage pour se baigner.
Such a tranquil and beautiful environment. The only drawback was the amount if algae growing in the pond area. There seems to be a certain species of something missing which is throwing off the ecosystem.
Excellent public park with clean washroom facilities and great places to picnic. Beautiful and located along the shores of Lake Ontario which added to the scenery as well as the ability to walk on the trail beside it. And it was free!
It’s very nice place to visit with your friends and family. There’s no charcoal BBQ allowed but you can use propane one, no alcohol, no smoking. I really enjoy there.
Great beach. Enough room to social distance, some garbage, but we'll maintained thus far. A few rocks on the east beach.painful on the feet, but sand too
Good all-in picnic getaway with fishing, beach access, plenty of green sitting/picnic area with shades, playground & some small hills which kids love & a large parking area.
The beach is relatively small & is full of stones near the shore & large rocks inside. If you move towards the centre than you can find a small area with less stones/rocks allowing you to go in a bit without killing your feet.
If you go a bit further into water, the mud gets very sticky which the children love to play with. Almost like play dough.
One men & a women's washroom is available with 3 stalls in each. We found them clean with good supply of tissues. There is also a foot washing area besides the washroom.
I love coming here, quiet walk, live music Tues nights in the summer, I remember camping here as a child, we came from Toronto, seemed so far away then lol. They have torn down alot if trees and bush on the one side, not sure what they r doing but it sure looks different already
A beautiful park set right in the lake. Lots of parking and a great place to go for a walk. Dogs on leash are welcome. Park is well maintained and there are benches throughout to enjoy the views.
Entertainment during summer nights as well as other daytime festivities. Great place to relax and have a picnic or go on a small hike. Be sure to stick around for I believe to be one of the best locations to see sunsets.
This place I really recommend to anyone who want to relax. There is plenty of parking car, there are benches where you can sit and watch the lake or take a short walk along the lake. There are trees that give a lot shade, there are bathrooms. Come over to see for yourself.
Beautiful well hidden place. The view while the sun iz going down iz speechless. Uu kan c the whole Toronto "CN Tower" from here. 2wrdz Niagara falls there r sooooo manie hidden places that no one reallie knowz about
Stunning, expansive park, gorgeous water views & can accommodate both family gatherings & special occasions! Last month saw beautiful, intimate wedding reception with waterfront as backdrop for photos Sadly, the small, rustic beach and shoreline have been washed away. Powerful message of climate change: ( Photos include the beach/sandbar of last summer before affects of sandbar. Still, lovely picnic spot with free parking & amenties, but will definitely miss the intimate, rustic beach/sandbar.
Tiny, unmaintained beaches. Great playground for kids. Large pavilions for rent with public washroom facilities. Kayakers frequent the pond on the east side (there were rentals once upon a time, maybe still are). Good fishing at the western beach; with the fall rain, salmon start running across the flooded beach to their spawning grounds, so limitless photo-ops there. Good "dog beach" at the east side.
Very nice park. Especially for playing pokemon lol. But really. I dont know why I've never been there before, its nice and open sp my little guy can run around without fearing too much traffic:)
Half of the beach is washed out this summer, very rocky & full of tree roots water. Looks like a nice spot on the hill for a family reunion or something along the lake!
Beautiful Park overlooking Lake Ontario with amazing sunset. Great place for a picnic or a walk. Summer Tuesday evening concert with Soul Jam was very good. Lots of parking available.
Great place. Clean not too crazy crowded. Clean bathrooms and nice beach also. Not a gigantic beach but fun for the kids on a day trip. Highly recommend it.
A few years ago Charles Daley would have received a glowing 5 star review from me and my family. Over the past few years all much of what made Charles Daley special has been removed and access to the beach is often a 400m was from the upper parking lot. You can’t park anywhere close as it’s all handicapped parking; leaving people to constantly revolve the single lane road to those spots to pickup and drop off. What used to be a fun drive up beach is now logistically very difficult for almost everyone looking to have a beach day with any amount of items. But hey at least they have free wifi there now (sarcasm). Seems like they’ve made everything about the beach increasingly more difficult each year. We still go, but it’s just a shadow of what it was before the city over organized everything.
This is a nice park. There are picnic tables, benches and a pavilion with bathrooms. There is a foot washing station. There is a small beach off to one side.
Very nice, not crowded, bathrooms, lots picnic tables, stairs down the hill, lots of parking and great metal benches at the top of the hill over looking the lake.
