Stunning fall colors, biking friendly, parking lot is a bit smaller but you should be able to find different places to park along the trail.

One of my absolute favorite hikes in Toronto! It's a nice easy walk, with a slight steep at the end yut if you don't want to do it you can turn around. The rainbow bridge is a nice add on to the views.

Nice trails! Very good for a family walking! River is just beside you! And you can walk I think until downtown Toronto

I walk through these areas and think of what it must have been like to cottage and experience the don the same way this areas namesake experienced it.

But not just him but the pioneers that he wrote about and work up did to preserve the don valley area.

These walks are some of the best in Toronto.

From Milnes hollow, you could junction to so many places in the city and connect with other trails up and down the don.

This has to be one of the most beautiful places in the city to go for a walk and not feel like you’re in the city at all. It is great for all ages and has places to sit shopping the way if needed

A very nice open area of green space in the city. Mature trees and along side the Don river stream right beside it, you'll enjoy walking though this area. Several bridges cross over the river at multiple areas and it's connected to several communities providing much needed green space.

The river was once surrounded by vast tracts of forest, interspersed with wetlands meadows. But over the last 200 years, human settlement has brought hills, golf courses, housing developments, roads and rail have changed the look of the watershed. The East Don Trail runs through a relatively natural area of the Don River watershed, the Charles Sauriol Conservation Reserve. Milne Hollow at Lawrence Avenue East is the northern gateway to the conservation reserve and the north entrance to the East Don Trail. The trail connects Milne Hollow to Wyford at the south and across the river and the Don Valley Parkway to Moccasin Trail Park. With few large, undeveloped stretches of land nearby, the natural areas found in the Charles Sauriol Conservation Reserve provide good places for wildlife. Along the trail, there are a number of different types of habitat - the upland forests on the valley slopes, open meadows and young trees in Milne Hollow, and a wetland near the CP Rail The diversity of habitats means you may many kinds of wildlife on your visit, such as deer, beaver, fox, hawks, and many species of migratory birds.

Free Limited Parking is available at certain areas around the entryways.

Beautiful area for a peaceful walk, jog, run, etc. Absolutely gorgeous during the winter months with the snow.

It's just beautiful to walk along the trails. Some fall colors. Love the rainbow under the bridge. Picnic tables available too

A long peaceful trail, it was majestic with snow. You can use the main trail or do the loop by using smaller paths.

Great park with beautiful bridges, river views.
There are a lot of hills here…
There are not public washrooms at the park.

Very serene place. Paved narrow roads all the way. No proper signage though but you won't get lost. Clean and green. Yes, just greens all around with water flowing along the way. Not much flowers.

One of the best biking trails in Toronto. It’s a gorgeous path in the fall. I come down to watch the Salmon migration. Also, the downhill is a dream but you might have some trouble cycling back up!

Nice trail with beautiful sounds of the riverflow accentuated with music of birds chirping away their day.

Very nice trail!
Just need to clean the mud that accumulated on some of the bridges and part of trail during the spring!

What can I say the Don River is amazing journey all the way from Leslie Street and up through the dawn along the trails it's just an amazing journey if you got time to spare take the journey and forget about your troubles and remember the people that came before us who designed us just for our enjoyment and rest

Gorgeous ravine walks with wide accessible paved roads, river views and shaded by trees. Great for biking, walking and rolling. Then, there are beautiful forest paths full of delightful surprises!

Really beautiful area to go for a walk or even bike and see all the nature around you. I can just imagine how amazing it would look once all the trees grow their leaves but there's so many different bird species that can be found along the trail. I've spotted other animals like beavers and chipmunks and there's always something new to be found.

I happened to come to this North York conservation area when it wasn't busy. Less than a third of the free parking spots were occupied; a good sign.

Driving often on the Don Valley Parkway, I really didn't give much thought to the parkland and trail system that flanked the Don River system. I have seen the "rainbow tunnel" heading northbound many times. Now I know where it is on the trail.

Today, I took time on this blistering hot and humid day to venture outdoors to this woodland area. I had to share the paved paths with a few cyclists but more people were on foot.

It was quite enjoyable, quiet, and relaxing! An amazing feeling not having to wear a mask outdoors.

This area has multipld trails that run along side the Don River. There are many small trails which get you close to the water. The trail features educational signs as well. When I went at 1pm during COVID-19 there was a lot of people around. There was not enouhh room for social distancing and many people were not wearing PPE. Without a mask this trail is a health risk as you come within 3ft of people. There is a trail head at Wynford Dr which is midway through the trail which is very steep. Meaning people with bikes were needing to walk up the steep incline. This hill should feature a no bike sign as multiple people have had accidents. Overall a scenic but busy innercity path.

Excellent trail beside east don river. You will hear don river running beside you. Very private feel. No parking fee! Awsum.

This place feels like heaven in the morning and afternoon, love going here for bike riding, running/ jogging or a simple walk.
09 June 2021 15:42
Beautiful park, with opportunity for long walk, bird watching and even river access, all in the middle of the city.
21 April 2021 6:36
A very good park to walk. The trees which have fallen down are left to nature. Lots of birds singing on this April day. A great place come the summer.
02 April 2020 10:01
Winter, summer and any season in between is always a relaxing stroll on this trail. Relatively quiet (next to the highway) and long enough to destress.
10 March 2020 3:11
This is an excellent place for walking (Slow or fast) and also for biking.

It’s a nice easy hike and it’s fun to walk off-road in the summertime.

You know that Rainbow Bridge you see going northbound on the DVP? Its here! Wide trails, follows the Don River. They are making trail improvements. Nice trail to walk. Don't feel the highway right next to it.
14 September 2019 12:11
Flowers, forest, river, friendly people, and the rainbow bridge. You hardly notice that the busy DVP is so close.
02 September 2019 7:29
Great path leading to many offroad trails. Outstanding views for those willing to give off the beaten path.
01 September 2019 20:14
This park is going to end up being my favourite walking and biking spot, it's peaceful and not a lot of people there so it's good. Just get your mosquito spray out after 7pm. I think this would be a good place for bird watchers.can't wait for it to be completed
17 August 2019 2:57
It's a wonderful place to spend a couple of hours forgetting (almost at least as the DVP is nearby) listening and seeing birds and trees as the Don River rolls by lazily. The tunnels add an interest touch to the scenario.
05 August 2019 21:35
Nice for quiet walks with your
There is a nice creek with ducks, fish and all kinda other nature sh! T that a great place to bun a spliff in quiet and meditate on the problems of the day.
21 July 2019 22:54
It's a nice walk, under construction. You can park on the top (there are like 3 parking spots) or down the hill, there's a complimentary parking.
12 July 2019 12:09
Very beautiful trail within the city area. Cannot believe such natural habitat is maintained in a busy urban area.
23 May 2019 19:32
Beautiful, hidden gem between the border of Scarborough and North York. I love walking here and seeing the wildlife.
02 May 2019 1:18
Easy walking trail along the river. Not crowded, some wildlife including a Great Blue Heron and a Kingfisher that hang out at the pond in the east side. Great place to walk dogs.
02 March 2019 13:24
It's nice to have a nature walk in the east apart of midtown. I've seen fox, dear, beaver and a plethora of birds in this valley system.

Crews are working to extend this path further south towards Eglinton. Looking forward to that.

Word of warning.for the winter months they close off the parking so there are minimal spots at the top of the hills leading into the valley.

Get out on your own walk and enjoy it!
05 February 2019 21:57
Not sure, must be somewhere I cycled by. I generally like conservation areas, some times called parks. Green is nice.
09 January 2019 11:36
Very nice place but I dont understand why the gate is always closed, if you are driving you may find a spot at the right hand side of the gate.
12 October 2018 6:43
Beautiful trails with lots of scenery. You must visit this conservation area and enjoy its beauty.
