Today July 8 around 5: 00 I was very disappointed in my meal, couldn’t finish. Had chicken Fajitas which I’ve had before and loved. Today there was some kind of rub on vegetables and chicken which it doesn’t say on menu. Spoke to young man in charge and he tried to tell me this was normal. DEFINITELY NOT. I was also going to order good to go but did not. Also, there is now no where on debit: credit machine to leave tip of what I want to leave. Tips should not be on GST. I guess it’s back to the Portly Piper who owns both restaurants, at least they take care of their customers. Sad as I’ve always loved their food.
Great food. Very tasty and nicely presented. Very franchise looking establishment. I wouldnt say that it had a real pub feel. But it was still nice. Lots of TV's so easy to catch some sports. Waitress was ok. Perfunctory at best. But the food did come quickly. Over all a decent experience.
Great staff along with great food. Service right away. We will definitely be back. Prices are decent. Vegan Friendly. Last but not least our friendly waitress aryan was the best ever, also Candace the bartender is great!
We have ordered wings from Charlie Ronick's a few times and we never get the dipping sauce for the wings like you get in the restaurant. I have even asked for it in the Special Instructions and still don't get it. I have also asked for Frings and they didn't arrive either. What am I missing here?
The wings however are always hot and tasty, just missing the sauce!
I used to order once a month and now I will never buy from them again. In the evening of November 26th, all take out orders (Uber and skip the dishes) were handled so poorly. I ordered my meal to be picked up from 6: 45pm-7: 15pm. Uber notified me it was ready at 6: 45pm. I arrived at 6: 50pm and waited until 9pm to receive my meal. The hostess said it would only be a couple of minutes. All pick up orders were delayed by at least 30 minutes to 1 hour as they were understaffed. I kept asking the hostess to check my order with the kitchen as some customers were checking as well. She came back with nothing with the times I have asked. At 8pm, I asked a separate waitress to check my order and stated “I have been waiting for an hour. ”. The waitress provided with a sarcastic answer, “Everyone has been waiting for an hour”. After 30 minutes (At 8: 30pm) she comes back to get my order number to check with the kitchen and finds my order number was missing from the kitchen. They finally finished preparing my meal at 9pm.
In the end, I have wasted my time and money. The whole situation was a lose-lose for both parties. No manager was available and no one was in charge of making sure everyone is getting their order. I have left there feeling unheard and belittled by the staff.
Ordered the sea food curry pasta, the lobster was OFF. The smell of ammonia coming from it was so pungent it burned my nose. I hope to God they did not serve what they served me to anyone else because that would get someone severely sick. Absolutely disgusting!
Had dinner and a couple of pints there last night with two good friends. We all decided to have the rib and wing special and omg, it was amazing. Portions were huge, service was great and staff were all doing their best. Top marks!
Its not first time I face third time in 1 month. I mostly order food from Charley Ronick’s but I think its management is change or what my order never be Complete all the time missed some thing in food and takes unexpected delays. Currently this place just make happy them in person guests. Online or phone order don’t take seriously Don’t ask me for delivery experience I try couple of time from Skip and Uber its more worst then I order on phone or in person. I am not going back again to Charley
Enjoyed a meal from Charley's last night with Skip the Dishes. Food was great and they followed our special instructions. They actually read them! Wings were plentiful and tasty. My reuben was huge and the meat very lean and tender. This may be our new go-to wing night place. Only complaint was that the fries were coated, not real fresh cut.
I just ordered a bunch of food on Uber eats from here and it is SO GOOD! Yummm! Highly recommend the wings and the bruchetta! The salads are a hearty portion also. Way to go!
I ordered the steak and lobster. The lobster was dried out and like rubber. It didn't even come with butter. Then ordered wings to take out, got the wings and dip for vegetables but they forgot the vegetables for each order of wings. Not impressed.
Not the same quality as before the pandemic. Regulars are allowed to shout offensive gender based language and management does nothing. Management cannot figure out how to use TVs, turned off 2 TVs showing raptors and then put on another non toronto team. Great staff. Not sure of management anymore.
I’ve dinned here recently (late October 2020) this was my first time here, as I typically just visit Portly Piper Ajax. The establishment is bright and clean and I had the most friendly sever! I wish I remembered her name. I ordered a pint, halloumi friends and the chicken bacon wrapped roll ups. The chicken was good maybe a little dry, but still good. I would for sure come back and I would for sure recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place to eat and have a few drinks.
Not a good place to go and eat. Food isn’t great and waitresses are not very kind. It seems they might dislike their jobs. Bad management? Beer prices aren’t terrible though.
Found my wings spot. Just moved to whitby and went to a few places and the wings are hands down. First time going there, went inside and looks clean and decorated. The menu looks attractive and definitely will take advantage of that place.
Oct 03-2021last night we order 2 southwest chicken sandwiches and the chicken was burnt called them received new ones, brought home and the chicken was just the same
I'm here now. 20 minutes before I even get acknowledged and order a drink. 30 minutes and yet to speak to our waitress and order. I'm about to leave.service is horrible
Ronick's is a cocktail of delicious food, reasonable prices, nice ambiance and best entertainment! My family's favorite place! Every time we think of trying another restaurant, we still end up at Ronick's! Love it!
Love the food, love the service but as much as I love my rock music.having it blasting while people are talking is really annoying and makes it hard to hear people. Just turn it down 3 notches and don't play hard rock song with cursing. Otherwise amazing spot.
Ordered the lasagna and it was horrible as if no effort was made and then to send something like that out to a customer. Goes to show horrible service horrible management. I get times are hard during this covid era so I want to support local businesses but when you receive subpar service as I did tonight I'll choose elsewhere to order next time. A shame they were once good.
My boyfriend and I ordered from them and his wings he received were fine but the fettuccine Alfredo I got was very disappointing the noodles were undercooked and all stuck together and hard! I’ve ordered from here before and always enjoyed my food but this time was a huge let down me. I’m very disappointed.
I have never eaten inside at this place, so my experience has always been take out. My order never delayed and always on time. Food portion is great. Taste is great. Kids cheeseburger is so so. But their pad Thai, lobster Mac and cheese, salads, and jambalaya are great and fresh. Will recommend to others.
Ordered from Skip the dish, we didn't even get our order which was a 100$ order. The delivery guy went to his car pretend to make a call came back and said that the order he brought (fries & fish) is free of charge and someone else is bringing our order (which was a lie). Called the restaurant and was flat out told this is not my problem deal with Skip the Dish. I have had issues happen at other restaurants in the past and they have rectified their mistake and personally brought the items to us. They have lost my business I couldn't believe it. Wow is all I have to say, especially with the amount we were paying.
The food is better as compared to other local restaurants but the service is terrible. I placed an order through Uber Eats this afternoon for pick up. After being notified that my order was ready for pick up, I walked into the restaurant and waited at the font. After several minutes of being unattended to, I walked over to the bar (only staff I saw present) and continued to wait for the staff at the bar to give me her attention. When I realized she wouldn't notice unless I got her attention, I politely said "excuse me, sorry to bother you. ". To which she said I need to go back and wait in the front. She then picks up my food from the back and brings it to me. She tells me I need to wait in front while pointing to the sign. I told her I did wait and it is only after waiting for several minutes that I approached the bar, waited again and then only interrupted her to get her attention. She denies it and says I was waiting for only 2 minutes. To which I replied how would she know that if her back was turned towards me the whole time. We exchanged in a back and forth where I asked for her name (to which she chuckled initially before telling it's Kate) asked for her manager's name and phone number (to which she denied providing me the information) and then takes back my food after saying "I guess you're not in a rush". She also tells me the manager is present. To which I said I would like to speak to him. The manager comes to speak to me. I explain to him what happened. He apologizes but while I'm speaking to the manager, Kate is walking back and forth, interrupts and involves herself in our conversation unnecessarily and denies what I'm saying. I told her the conversation is between the manager and I and asked the manager twice "is this how you train your staff? ". The manager apologized, I provided my order number, collected my food and left. The wrongdoing and arrogance of this employee, not to mention the lack of respect for customers and her own management is all telling. This is my second experience of having ordered from your restaurant and not being responded to timely when picking up my food. I let it go the first time but after this terrible experience, I hope this post coveys the experience to expect when attending this restaurant.
