My sister and I love coming here and we’ve been their long-standing customer for many years. The level of service and attention to detail and quality of food is astounding and it never fails to impress us. Delicious food and a warm and loving experience every time!

One of the best Indian food place in Pickering. Most of their food is on the hot side (spicy). They have a few non hot options as well. Food is fresh when compared to most of the other Indian places.

Even before I tasted the food I was having a great experience because the staff is very nice and friendly. We ordered dosa and it was absolutely fantastic

This is the second or third time we’ve ordered Dum Biryani takeout from Charminar express at Pickering, and have been disappointed with the amount of meat in the dish. Taste was good as usual but good eateries should not cheap out on the meat provided!

It’s becoming the type of place you would not usually go to unless there’s an emergency and no other option. They don’t have much of a dine in so can’t score on service - the only thing they need to excel in is the food…

We visited last week for brunch, excellent choice, we ordered chicken 65 Briyani, masala Dossa, karivepaku chicken! Mouth watering food, excellent and welcome attitude! Prepare fresh food, prompt service! Delicious Pakistani Indian food! Would repeat again to try other dishes! Love it. Very tasty and they will make as mild you want or as spicy you want.

This is not an exaggeration, but I have never had a better tasting Indian food ever. The butter chicken and tikka masala are so out of this world that the tastes have never left my mouth. I would certainly go back again and again, it’s that awesome.

Amazing selection of menu options, I couldn’t decide what to order! Ended up getting butter chicken, chicken tikka biryani, masala dosa. Everything was so delicious and flavourful. Highly recommend this restaurant:)

We visited Charminar Pickering for the first time. We are pleased with the service provided by our server (Mansi). She was polite, humble and took good care of our order. Food taste was okay not best as per Charminar’s standards. But, its a good place to visit again to try more vegetarian food options.

Have 2 stars for food. I recently moved to Pickering 3 months ago and ordered already more than 10 times Great food but the problem is service specially when you have franchisee and there is another location just 5 min drive away.
I called at 10: 15 to make an order and they said they can’t take an order because the staff has to be out of the store by 10: 30 when it clearly says they open till 10: 30 and m ordering 15 minutes ahead. That’s stupid reason to not take an order and I don’t feel welcomed at all. I tried calling ajax location at 10: 20 right after that and they happily took my order so even though this location is close to my home I will always drive more and give my money to ajax location for still taking the order before they close and will never spend money to the business who Don’t appreciate.

Ordered for a large party of apx 130 people.
The entire process of ordering to execution was flawless. Naureen at the front desk was extremely patient to hear the requirements, was quick enough to go back discuss with chef and provide recommendations.
Kartik the owner was equally helpful in going over and beyond and providing timely updates.
The quality of food, taste and presentation was all done perfectly.

Until a few months ago, the standard had really fallen- the Biryanis in particular were so bad that they were bland and didn't even taste like Indian Biryanis. So we had stopped ordering from here for about a year. Thank God management listened to feedback and brought back the authentic south Indian flavours to the Biryanis and now they pack enough masala in the Biryanis, as it should be (it's Hyderabadi biryani!).

Tried baby corn manchurian for the first time and was amazing. Fried rice and paneer dosa was also good.

Was really disappointed, we ordered a few dishes all of them with mild spicy level, everything was so hot we couldn’t eat it. The only thing I could eat was the naan bread which was very good.

Ordered butter chicken for pickup. Spent $21 for a small container and didn't come with naan. I was also charged $2 for the food I picked up myself.

Got the butter chicken and the chicken mughlai. Both were so addictive. One of the dishes was too spicy for my daughter and they offer to make a small mild portion just for her.

One of the very few places In GTA where you can get authentic biryani. Food and service was so good that we continued to chat about it all the way while driving back home!

Very spicy, meat was crushed, do not recognize what was the reference.

I loved there food, seriously delicious, I tried there Chole bhatura, there Chilli idli and panner 555. It was so so good and spicy same as Indian street food.

Was a rather big order, close to 3 bills. But was disappointed that one of the dishes was spoilt. Wasn't expecting.

It was Charminars anniversary yesterday, I got 50% off but that doesnt mean I should be getting ROTTEN FOOD I ordered Hyderabadi chicken curry and it was a disaster. Never going to order any food from you.

Very bad experience of taste and quality. Not going back. First time when I ordered Dum Biryani it was good but 2nd time it was not at all good, very poor taste. I don’t think they have standard procedures of preparing food and that’s why things don’t taste the same on different days. This is a major drawback that any food business can have. Their Butter Chicken’s name shall be changed to “sugar chicken” coz I never ate such a sweet Butter Chicken in my life. Or perhaps salt was replaced with sugar while preparing Butter Chicken. I am surprised that although this is a branch of Charminar (Missisauga) their food tastes so poor. Apart from this many items from their menu were not available on weekend afternoon. So why add so many items in menu and then keep saying that they don’t have it. Bad impression. Hope they improve in future.

We tried their food on their anniversary, it was a feast for us, thank you for keeping 50% off on anniversary it helps us to try variety of your dishes, can’t wait to comeback again.

Took 45 mins to get the order ready, and then the mutton wasn't even cooked properly. Very disappointed. Never coming back.

The lady who answers the phone not professional at all to take orders, overall food quality is good but customer service is bad. You will loose customers if the friendly service is not provided to customers.

I ordered a veg biryani and was given a mutton biryani instead. I called in early enough to mention that I will be dropping off the wrong order and pick up the correct one. I reached there only find a cold veg dum biryani. I don’t have the patience to go back and ask them for a hot batch. May be ……. This place is not what it used to be……

Worst people.will never come back to this location. Food is average. The front staff will steal your money in all possible ways. Beware of this store.

I love the goat dum biryani, so flavourful and the meat falls of the bone, extremely tender. Also loved their chicken 65! Amazing customer service

Had their Kadai Chicken and garlic naan. The kadai was very flavorful and had just the right level of spice to it. It was a tad salty but the gravy overall was rich in flavour. The garlic naans were soft and flavorful.

Great and courteous customer service here at Charminar Pickering. They went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied after a mistake was made on their end on my previous order. I look forward to trying out their biryani and other dishes in the future.

Stumbled across this restaurant this evening and decided to give it a shot. Great decision! The chicken briyani was delicious and the portions are very generous. So pleased to have stopped in.

I was very pleasantly surprised trying out this place. We had the chicken dum biryani and roasted mutton.

The biryani was very well cooked, not too spicy at least the version we tried. The chicken in the biryani was perfectly cooked. Highly recommend the chicken biryani here it is absolutely delicious.

What surprised me the most was the roasted mutton. That was an OMG moment for me. I haven't had such a nicely cooked/roasted mutton boneless in a very long time. It went amazingly well with the biryani too. I highly recommend everyone to try that.

We have ordered take out from Charminar @ Pickering 4 times till date, ALL in a period of 1 month (and each time the order grew)! This is testimony to the super quality of their food, the more than adequate size of their servings and their warm customer service. An excellent addition to the Indian restaurant options in the area especially due to their Hyderabadi (i.e. Southern Indian) influence which is very different to the standard northern Indian fare that we are used to. Having said that, their northern Indian staples like the tandoori, tikkas, butter chicken, etc.are also excellent.

Oh I legitimately jumped with happiness when I found out that we are getting a Charminar in Pickering! We lived in Scarborough for a year before moving to Pickering, and the saddest part about.mvoing away was not having Charminar to.order from very very often. Now Charminar is a 10 minutes walk from our house and I feel like my prayers were answered lol! We already ordered 4 times since it's opened and the food is on point. EXACTLY like Scarborough and Whitby. I don't know how you guys do it, but never change! Also we wouldn't mind having more things to ordered, since we've been through the whole menu already! Our go to place for weekends, and celebrations. We save our calories all week so we can order from here!

They offer a vast variety of delicious food. I like dining here. The employees are always helpful, prices are reasonable and the place is always clean.

The Chicken 65 Biriyani is horrible, too color full, and too pricey. Even after I washed my hands with soap for 10 Minutes, the red color didn’t wash away. There is definitely chemicals or food colouring, this is not good for the stomach. Very disappointed in the performance, I do not recommend this particular shop.

Wow the food here is amazing! The chicken is extremely soft and melts in your mouth! If you're looking for authentic Indian cuisine in the Durham region, this is the spot to go.

I had heard great reviews of their Whitby location, and when I got to know of their new location close to my place, I had to try them.

I called them on Friday evening, and after making a few unsuccessful attempts the reach them, I got a call back from them.

We ordered the chicken 65 dry, the chicken tikka masala and the chicken dum biryani. The biryani is definitely the Hyderabadi style and I haven't tasted anything close to that here in the GTA.

I think this is going to be my go to place going forward. The service, flavors, taste and everything else was perfect. I do hope that they keep the same level or service and quality going forward.

We ordered paneer and vijayawada chicken biryani's, gobi manchria yesterday. All items are too spicy and it seems using food colors. Our hands are having red color even after washing with soap water. Seriously i don't want to go again.

Charminar has amazing customer service. The food here is flavorful and the large portions come at nominal prices. Would definitely recommend for that traditional Indian taste!

I dropped into Charminar about an hour after opening their doors for the first time. I've been to their Whitby location, where I enjoyed some delicious Indian food and was looking forward to the same from here.

Unfortunately, this is an "Express" location, smaller than the Whitby store, with a much smaller menu and no seating. No problem, takeout-only restaurants seem to be trending these days, since COVID.

Wanting to try something new (to me), I ordered the Kadai Chicken ($11.99). It came boneless, in a red sauce with red and green peppers. It was a tad spicy but very flavourful. Rice was extra ($2.00), very light and fluffy.

I was hoping to take advantage of their opening special, an offer of a free Biryani to their first 99 customers. Sadly, I missed it.

Based on the single dish that I had, the food was well prepared and very tasty. I'll be back to try more!

Excellent restaurant. The food is amazing. It’s definitely my favourite go to spot in Durham Region. I recommend this to everybody.

They have pathetic food handling of veg /non-veg section. We ordered Paneer Biryani from Pickering Charminar thinking it would be good but when unboxing it I found suspected non veg pieces in it. When I called them they said they have different sections for both but how can it happen if it is so. Not gonna order ever from them. It's not even few days that they are here and this is what they serve us.

By far the best chicken biryani I have had in a long time! Chicken was fall of the bone and the rice was very flavourful. Portions were huge. Service was great. I highly recommend you check this place out. Also, the mango lassi is amazing! Will definitely be back.

Their chicken biryani is a must try you won't regret it! But that can be said for all the items they offer as its an explosion of wonderful flavours. Amazing portion sizes at great prices what more can one ask for! And very helpful staff. Charminar is the go to for Indian cuisine in Durham. Check them out!
