The Management team and staff at Chartwell Bridlewood have been very helpful and accommodating. It was at a critical time when I approached the Management team at Chartwell Bridlewood to inquire if they would have the capacity and ability to provide care and assistance to my mom, who is 88 years of age. She has progressive COPD. When Chartwell accepted her, she needed urgent care due to significant breathing difficulty and required constant use of an oxygen concentrator. She was also having difficulty walking because of shortness of breath. The staff and the management team welcomed her with open arms. They provided her with the care and attention that allowed her to progress to the point where an oxygen concentrator is not required on occasion, and walking is less laborious. The turnaround has been quite remarkable, thanks to everyone at Chartwell.

My husband and I travelled from the UK to visit a relative for 5 days who lives at ‘Chartwell Bridlewood’. We stayed on the premises in the guest suite and were made to feel extremely welcome - we arrived late but still refreshments were there waiting for us.
Staying for a few days we knew we would get a true impression of Bridlewood. The impression we got is that our relative has her home in a wonderful, kind and caring place. The staff are incredible and so attentive. The meals are fabulous. There is a massive range of activities for the residents to take part in. We have peace of mind that our relative is being well looked after. Thank you to the staff and residents for making our trip so enjoyable.

Ive been visiting Bridlewood on many occasions in the last year. The friendly welcome from Nathalie at the front entrance always following covid mask protocol is A + for the residences and visitors like myself who at times We (I) forget (sorry) thank god For Nathalie and Natasha the Fun activities lady with a smile and her piano playing. WOW. What can I say from this weekends open house. FUN FUN FUN and Fantastic food to snack on. Had a few to many cheese bits. Irene and Jackie were there as well enjoying the festivities and cleanliness from the PSW nurses were bar none. Its like The Hotel for seniors that want a safe secure and charming atmosphere with 3 great meals per day. A +

I want to thank all the staff that worked so hard to make our Valentines Day so pleasurable.
The afternoon concert was followed by a delicious dinner and I really enjoyed the tasty shrimp.

As a Vocalist, Producer, Artistic Director who has performed over many years, at numerous residences across the Ottawa Region (as well as on national stages), I am so pleased to offer this testimony about the excellence, warmth, and delightful nature of Chartwell Bridlewood Retirement Residence - a welcoming and engaging "community of Friends".

The General Manager, Mme. Nathalie Morin, is competent, very pleasant and accommodating.

Lifestyle and Program Manager, Ms. Natasha Guiller, is also very competent, pleasant, and well organized, constantly juggling multiple logistics and detailed planning. She is an excellent and caring staffer. The residents just love her: many have commented to me that she is more like a family member, creating such a warm and inviting environment, weaving in each participant: they look forward to every new event - be it outings, concerts, art sessions, exercise or dance classes, or other programmes.

Our musical repertoire includes classical standards, opera excerpts, musical theatre, sing-along songs for Robbie Burns Day (January) ; Valentine's Day (February) ; St. Patrick's Day (March) ; Easter-Passover (April) ; Canada Day (July) ; Remembrance Day (November) ; Chanukah-Christmas- New Year's (December). Residents enjoy our stories, jokes and offer their suggestions for future concert repertoire.

I highly recommend Chartwell Bridlewood for long term residence, respite or rehabilitation, and for visits to loved ones!

My Mom died. The "Crew" here took excellent care of my Mom. (Read that line again.) She was Happy here. Standing inside the front door for the first time her first comment was "Everyone is so nice here". Now while I'm staying here packing up her apartment they are taking excellent care of me. I'm going to miss Chartwell Bridlewood. And to the Staff: Stay awesome! Hugs from me and my Mom.
