Nadia. S was an amazing and I mean AMAZING hair stylist! She cut my hair so beautifully and gave me a great blowout including a really nice wash. She took her time to ensure everything went perfect, Definitely recommending her!

I had my haircut few days ago in this salon. JAI was my hairdresser. She did a fantastic job. Jai is such a wonderful, friendly and talented professional who have a very clear idea of what she is doing. I just told her what I want and she gave me her professional opinion and the result was amazingly beautiful. Words cannot explain how satisfied I am with my new haircut. Jai is A highly recommended stylist for everyone.

I’ve been going to chatters for the past two years and I have absolutely loved it each time I’ve gone there. Thanks to my stylist Jai for always listening to what I want and giving me the best haircuts for me and my family.

First. When i walked in i was greeted very poorly! Then when i got my hair coloured they put biohazardous green faeces in my hair as the hair paint instead of the real hair paint.then when they finally cleaned off all the feces, I told him to cut just a little bit off the top and they shave my whole head bald I now look like Mr.clean.finally when I was done, I just needed some hair gel and they somehow messed that up and put blue coloured rat feces, infested with biohazardous uranium and inside of it.overall, I write this place a one out of 10 no one ever come here again.

CATERINA! I have never had someone do my hair exactly how I wanted it AND BETTER! I went in just for a trim and she did exactly that. She saved my bangs! Lovely to talk to and would highly suggest her to cut your hair!

Jay was completely amazing! She was so friendly and took the time to learn about the type of treatment I wanted for my hair. She was a savour for my day. She gave me exactly what I asked for but with a different twist for the result of a beautiful brown/blonde balayage and even recommended hair products to protect my hair. Definitely will be going back in the future!

Honestly I used to go here regularly as they did a decent job but on my recent visit I was super disappointed. My hairstylist who I thought was really good gave me by far the worst haircut of my life. She refused to style it as well and being a polite customer I obliged and left with a smiling face but a heavy heart. If you have the option, would recommend to spend a extra few bucks for a better stylist elsewhere. Extremely unfortunate.

I felt the stylist listened well to my wants and gave me a great haircut. I am planning a return visit for colouring based on the consult and explanation.

I had a wonderful wash, cut and style with Jay at Chatters Ajax. She was wonderful to work with, she listened patiently to what I was looking for and curated the cut based on my needs and made wonderful suggestions herself as well. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with a pleasant hairstylist and I love my new haircut!

I have been to other chatters locations but this one canceled my appointment and replaced it with thier most jr stylist who did a terrible job. I asked for a cut a bit off the shoulders and have a cut at my jawline, atleast 4 or 5 inches higher than requested. It's uneven and choppy and looks so, so bad.

I will not return

I feel the staff at this salon, with exception to the friendly woman with green hair, is inpatient and standoffish.

I’m on the spectrum. It may not appear as evident as others who are, but I require repetition and have difficulty executing decisions. When I went to this salon for help in choosing a shampoo, the staff at the front became evidently impatient and seemingly annoyed with me. I’m not a fan of the overall negative aura and will not be returning for products or hair. I do thank the friendly woman with green hair who was smiling, and patient with me and my disability.

I am writing this review out of frustration.
Like many of us I was in desperate need of a hair cut & style.
I could not book one before lock down because everyone was booked up.
I called on June 30 and was put on a wait list.
I was advised on July 3rd that they could take me on July 22nd @6pm.
I had been counting down the days & was so happy.
I should have known something was up because
I received a call on July 16th & was told there had been cancellations and could I come earlier than my 6pm appointment time.
I work until 5 so I couldn’t.
Last night I received a text reminding me of my appointment/ followed by a confirmation.
This morning at 11am I received a phone call advising that my appointment was cancelled as the stylist (Montana) had an emergency.
I expressed that I was sorry about the emergency but also asked if there was anyone else who could take the appointment under the circumstances.
The response was no, sorry.
The earliest they could offer was August 13th!
I am beyond disappointed!
I called Andrello’s and they were happy to book my appointment for THIS Saturday.
I will not be keeping my appointment with chatters on the 113th clearly they don’t want my business anyway.

Diva cut my toddlers hair and did a fantastic job earlier this year. She really put him at ease and he no longer fears hair cuts. The staff are polite, friendly and professional. I recommend them for kids!

I was really scared because I’m too much concerned about my hairs. But this place was really worth trusting. I had good gorgeous haircut here. It was my first Canadian experience

The website gave an estimate of $176 dollars for a coloring job, the bill came upto over $300+ for a very below average coloring job. The online prices are deceiving and in store service charges are insane. If I was going to spend that kind of money I would've gone to a higher end Salon and gotten a way better service. Please do your research before booking with these rip-offs.

Hi. I went in for a wash, cut and style plus soft treatment for my hairs on Sunday morning. Getting an appointment was easy. The female on the phone was nice and friendly. They took me in on time. Montana was my stylist. I’d say she was ok not superb. Reasons why I gave only 3 stars 1) I noticed my stylist wasn’t washing the hairs thoroughly from the lower back of my head. She washed my hairs with super hot water whereas so far in all other salons I have experienced they use lukewarm or cold water for hairwash. Even I read it somewhere that washing with super hot water takes away the natural oil of the scalp leaving it to be dry and non-shiny. Talking about the end result, the wow effect was lacking. It was just ok. 2) I asked my stylist if they had any promotions for new customer.she said no but later I saw online for new customers it’s 15% discount for sign up which I would have certainly done if told. She was the one to cash me out tho. 3) They have an offer if you buy worth $50, you get one of the four choices they have full sized item for $5 which the staff didn’t tell me about but I read it online. So asked them. I got the hand sanitizer as it is the need of the hour now. I even bought the redken kit which was 29% off. Paid 140$ including tip and tax and environmental fee. I will keep looking for another salon who can offer excellent experience.

Its a meh place.hairstylist told me blowouts don't work on long hair. An obvious lie considering the fact I get them done frequently. Probably won't go back.

I had a appointment with Vashti for a haircut and she’s the best. She was very gentle and I got exactly what I asked for. I would definitely recommend Vashti to my friends and family.

I was just into chatters for the first time tonight with my sons. I had phoned in to try to get a last minute appointment due to everything going wrong on my crazy, busy night. Of course they were booked until late but after hearing my sad little story (lol) they said no problem come right in we will squeeze you in. I was incredibly thankful. Brianna cut my 16 yr.old son's hair and did an amazing job. She was so friendly and helpful. She listened to every detail he told her and kept making sure each step was to his approval. It turned out perfect and my son loved it and he never likes the way people cut his hair! Lol thankyou so much. You made this mother's night! I will be booking appointments for the whole family real soon!

I primarily come here for haircuts, and have always been satisfied with the service. The staff is friendly, and I've never had to wait long (if at all). I always go to the same person, Brianna, who does an amazing job with my haircut and is very efficient to boot.

I enjoyed the entire experience. I've never been to Chatters as I usually go to another salon in scarborough. I've been going there for 10+ years. However, living in Ajax I figured I would try it out. I did my research before booking and was impressed with the work that Brianna did (as per her instagram). I booked my appt with her and honestly have never felt so relaxed. She did a great job and didn't make me feel like I was just another appointment. I will be coming back and hopefully to her (should the time be available) for my haircut again when it grows out. Thank you so much!

I came to chatters because the reviews were great. The staff was friendly however for 225 dollars, I am very disappointed with my hair. Was suppose to be balayage. Definitely looks like a bunch of bleeding streaks and not even close to the picture I showed! I never write reviews however, for the cost I should feel amazing not embarrassed! Not recommend for the price!

I definitely had a 5 star experience with my hair stylist Brianna! She is amazing, kind and very personable. She made me feel extremely comfortable and my hair looks awesome because she listened to what I wanted! I have finally found my forever hair stylist and I look forward to booking another appointment with Brianna! Thank you so much Brianna!

Will never go back again. My hair was destroyed by Sohalla, I am not sure what experience she has with hair but completely hacked my hair up to the point I cannot even fix as it will be even shorter, my hair is so uneven now and way shorter than what I had asked for. 53.11 for a haircut refunded and the owner gave me a shampoo and conditioner to grow my hair faster.the manager had no words.so not impressed. Maybe an off day? Not sure.

I booked an online appointment, when I got to my appointment they told me to be seated. 15 minutes later someone comes up to me and says the barber is running late and won't be able to give me my haircut.

This is the day before an important meeting and also the day before I leave for a trip. Now, it's late enough in the day that I can't get a haircut with any other barber in Ajax.

The only "compensation" I got was a free haircut scheduled for later, but I'm doubtful about whether I will even get that for free as she didn't give me this confirmation in writing.

This was my first time ever booking at this salon and they did not give a good impression. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

I love going to Chatters Ajax! The stylists are great and always do an amazing job on my hair but my favourite is Deeba! Deeba is FANTASTIC, she always goes out of her way to make sure you are happy with your colour and cut. When I have a special event and she is not working that day she will even come in just to do my hair!

Went to Chatters for the first time a few days ago and had an amazing experience. Everyone was so friendly and personable. Will be going back there for sure!

There's pros and cons.
2nd edit: My wedding has come and gone. She cut off and thinned out the bottom of my hair so much that I actually had to change the style of updo I wanted. So disappointed. I will not be coming back.

Edit: i'm really unhappy with the length of my hair. I've washed it styled it since then, and it's not at all what I wanted: (I don't think she was going to cut my bangs actually, I just noticed after my hair was dry and asked if she'd do it. They're not sitting like they usually do!

Pros: Sohaila was nice, not too chatty, which for me is great lol. She did an awesome simple updo and she did something amazing on the price too. I am very grateful for that! Super easy to book online too.

Cons: When I took out the bobby pins and washed my hair, I saw she cut it WAY shorter than I wanted! I wanted max 2.5" off and she took at least 4! She showed me about two inches when she asked at the beginning. This is not good for me as my hair gets really puffy at this length. I have avoided this length for years. My wedding is in June so hopefully I still have enough long hair for the updo I want: (

Plus the booking system asked me for the stylist I wanted, according to reviews I picked Montana, but I did not get her. So if you want a particular stylist just maybe call to confirm.

PLEASE READ! Before you go there!
I got my hair dyed today at Chatters, the stylist was half hour late, it was weird something was telling me to leave! So she finally came and said “hi what would you like done? ” Didn’t apologize just acted like nothing happened. I was very irritated!

My hair didn’t even turn out the way I wanted I hate my hair and I think you should love your hair when you leave a professional salon! That’s why their out there! Especially when you pay 200$ just for dye not even cut or style! Originally I wanted dye, cut and style but as soon as I seen how she’s dying my hair I knew the cut would be horrible I’d end up with half of my hair CUT OFF and uneven! I wanted light brown not DARK! She ran out of hair dye during the process! So she was mixing dyes with other colours LIKE WHAT DA HELL IS THAT! Even through out the process I had to tell her “you missed a spot” she honestly seemed like she had no idea what she’s doing I could have done a better job! And cheaper.
I was so nervous how my hair will turn out. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. When it was time to wash she didn’t wash it properly I still had hair dye at back of my head/neck! So I had to wash my hair when I got home! I can’t say anything about other stylist but the one that did my hair was honestly HORRIBLE
! NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN! I think they hire these stylist straight from the street with no hair schooling or experience! I think YouTube schooling maybe.

I mostly write Reviews about food, sports related activities, and bars. However I saw the need to write a review due to the fact that a stylist at this Salon demonstrated and showed utter courtesy. Her name is Mandy. While my wife, and I waited. I saw how she handled herself in a super professional manner, how she interacted with the customer, and how she adhered to the customers needs and wants. The other stylists are good as well, but my wife and I really enjoyed our experience with Mandy!

I've never had a bad experience with Chatters Ajax! The store is clean, prices are so cheap for the high quality of work, and the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable on the products. Mandy is my favourite stylist because she's so friendly, genuinely passionate about what she does and is up to date with modern trends and techniques. She's coloured my hair a few times flawlessly and always gets the perfect balayage I'm looking for. If you're a nervous client who is really timid about getting their hair done (like me) she makes you feel so comfortable and reassured.

I had a 1pm appointment, showed up @ 12: 50pm, was told stylist will be with us shortly. SEVERAL staff walked pass us including both managers, not once checking in on us. 30 minutes later, STILL WAITING! At this point I asked the girl who checked us in what was happening? ! From this point they were very apologetic, which I did appreciate, however, it was 30min too late. What kind of salon let's a customer WITH AN APPOINTMENT wait 30min, and the salon was NOT busy. Our stylist "Deeba" finally comes, 35min later. We should have left, as if waiting wasn't bad, the cut and style was awful, cut was uneven and blow-dry was done so hurriedly. When we went to pay, they did offer a free service, which I declined, I paid and left. I will never go back or recommend this place to anybody. I waited 35min for a wash, cut & style that took less than 10min - First AND LAST!

Very efficient and affordable prices. Recently been there to get my haircut and was very happy about it, and my wife got her eyebrows and she didn’t feel no pain and shedid a very good job. She was very nice, and generous. HIGHLY RECOMMENED!

Easy to book system. Mandy was very friendly and listened to what we wanted. She was engaging with my son and gave one of the best head massages I've ever experienced. The price was reasonable and all the staff were great. Definitely recommend and we'll be back!

Went here for the first time had a photo of the colour i wanted i wanted to go lighter after showing the photo to the girl she said lets do this in steps but it would def be lighter with highlights BIG DISAPOINMENT it is now darker when she asked about cut I declined after the colour was wrong how do you do someones hair darker then it was when asked for lighter never go there again! I did ask for a trim now one side is shorter then the other! Lokking for a new place to get this fixed there went almost 300 for nothing what a waste of money here

I've had Montana as my stylist. She is fantastic. You can tell she takes a lot of pride in her work. She is fun to chat with and you will always leave looking fantastic and feeling happy!

I've gotten my hair colored twice here. Skeptical both times but it has proven me wrong. I get so many compliments on my hair. They are excellent stylists, experienced and very friendly. Ask for Maria if she still works there.
