Horrible timing, changing your reservation and schedule on the same day. Even if you go on the time they choose they make you wait again.

Went here on a recommendation. What a waste of half a day! Booked an appt for brow wax/tint and eyelash tint. Even with confirmation of appt they got the time wrong. An hour later I return to be told they don't do lashes. Then why book the appt with me? Worst of all the two staff members "helping" me were SO rude. They've lost my business going forward, and I'd recommend going literally anywhere else.

I have been with Chatters trainyards for a least 5 years and I am very disappointed with my last appointment. Was charged 82$ (without tip) for a basic haircut that looks nothing similar to what I asked for. Now I will have to go to somewhere else to have it fixed. To add on to this bad experience, the hairdresser was rude and she was quite impatient as well.
I had some great experience here before and even if it was a little on the pricier side, I do not mind because I got great service and great result. But this time it is really over priced and not worth it at all. Not only over charged but also treated with bad attitude.
I've been with Chatters Trainyards since I moved to Ottawa but I will be looking for a different salon after this experience.

Today is my first salon experience with Michelle and with Chatters. Michelle was recommended to me and she did not disappoint. From start to finish, I'm happy with the entire process. I felt welcomed, and Michelle made me feel confident that she is the stylist for me. I've already booked my next appointment.thank you!

I was expecting more from chatters, I had a haircut over there but it wasn’t satisfactory, the store is good though, they have a wide selection for hair and beauty products.

This place is very good. The hairdressers know their stuff. They are very friendly and insightful. It is reasonably priced as well.

Went in for a haircut today explained to the stylist what I was looking for. She told me that it was doable and that she had 20 year experience and that I had nothing to worry about.

I was had emphasized I wanted to keep the length of the hair and she still cut off a huge amount. I had asked for layers and it looks like she chopped off random pieces, last thing is I had asked for a v cut and it is uneven.
She had curled my hair therefore I was not able to see any of this until I came home and straightened my hair.

They charged my 81$ and gave me a first choice type of haircut. I will never step foot into this salon again.

I booked my daughter for q hair cut. They called me a day before to change the time. I arrived at the booked time. No one to greet us. After ten minutes waiting at the door, I asked if there was a hairdresser to see me. The clerk said she was running late, it would be another 10 min (no apologies there). I waited for another 20 minutes, no word from the clerk, no apologies. I come up to the desk and ask how long more it would take, as our appointment was 40 minutes ago. She apologizes that would be another ten. Alas, this was 8: 10pm! It’s bedtime at our house, so of course we left without a haircut. So she asked me if I wanted to rebook - no apologies again, just “we’re running late”. Really, if you’re planning to see a hairdresser look for another place because here the service at the door doesn’t even make you feel welcomed, doesn’t matter how great the stylists are. What a lack of respect with the client. Chatters probably has a short term memory loss and forgot they were closed for most of the pandemic due to restrictions, they should invest in better customer care so they don’t close for good.

What an absolutely amazing place! I did not go in for any services but I did go in to purchase a leave-in treatment. I spoke to Laura before I went in and she asked relevant questions about the condition of my hair and put aside products for me to see later when I went in to the salon. Everyone I encountered when I made my way in was very personable and professional. I'm very happy with my purchase and I plan on buying all my hair products from this place going forward

Would not recommend coming here for a male cut. It felt rushed even though I mentioned it was for my wedding. I had to go to another place to clean up the cut.

They do such a great job of cutting my childrens hair (almost 2 and almost 4)

Mandie was awesome. It was my first time there and I will definitely come back again. She made it so fun! She made me genuinely laugh out loud so funny that I couldn’t wait to tell my husband the jokes and me & him had a great laugh again. She genuinely cared for my hair health and my medical health by suggesting steps I can take to improve both! An all around healthy, FUN, enjoyable experience with such an emphasis on feeling great & being healthy inside & out & emotionally & physically. Love her! Thanks Mandie!

So there’s this super adorable staff here in the front retail section, she has red/purple hair, I cannot remember her name but every time I come in to purchase some hair products, she is always so helpful, knowledgeable, and I always end up loving the products that she recommends me! I took my daughter in, showed Darlene a picture of the length and style i wanted.my daughter hair was extremely long and i wanted it mid length not a drastic change.she butchered her hair cutting it way shorter than i asked for. I was in shock and tears. She was absolutely nice and everyone was friendly however definitely didn't expect the outcome. Very upset and disappointed

Really nice place, and my hair tech was lovely. I wanted bangs and she explained the mechanics of bangs including their many woes. It was really nice to have a heads up like that; the warning everyone wishes they had before getting bangs! Hahaha

Have been going here for a few years to see my stylist Racheal! Super nice, clean, and bright salon with lots of product selection and really friendly staff.

Lovely salon. Loved my hairdresser and the quality cut she gave me. A bit on the pricey side, but is likely comparable to other salons in Ottawa.

What an awful customer experience. You could walk around the store for hours and the staff would be more concerned about themselves than even pretending to pay attention to anyone in the store. Wife and I were ignored for a half hour straight while the 3 ladies decided to gossip about coworkers. Could care less about the products they carry, wouldn't go back based on the customer service alone. I'd advise anyone thinking about going there to go elsewhere. You'd get more help in Antarctica.

The salonist gave me a really good haircut. My wife buys her hair products here and their prices are competitive with a good selection.

Mandy was absolutely amazing! She asked great questions about my hair style and care routine in order to help give better advice to me. She has amazing customer service and made great suggestions for products I could try, overall it was a great experience!

Got my hair done this past weekend. Spent 300.00 for a cut and colour. In the salon it looked great until I got home and realized my hair had basically been hacked away at the bottom. It was so uneven and awful I had to go to another salon yesterday to get it fixed. Not only did I lose 3 inches off my hair: ' (but it looked nothing like the picture I asked for.

The stylist was delightful. She was great to chat with and I enjoyed my time with her, but when I got home and looked at my hair in the mirror I was left super disappointed. It was very clear she had no idea what "thinning hair out" meant and just hacked away at the bottom.

In total I spent over 400$. 300 at Chatters and another 85 plus tip to have my hair properly blended so it didn't look like someone took a machete to my hair.

10/10 will never go back here again.

I accidentally booked my apt on the wrong day, staff was very accommodating and only waited 20 minutes (which is pretty good for a Saturday) I believe her name was Kim who cut my hair. For the first time EVER, I left a hair salon actually truly satisfied:). I booked again with her in a few weeks to colour my hair. Ps loved her tattoos.:)

I was recommended this place by a few friends and decided to give it a try. I was absolutely amazed by the stylists! They are so professional and skilled. I never like my haircut and this was a game changer.

I got a balayage done from Kim along with a complimentary hair cut from Chatters. She did an amazing job with my hair and I absolutely love it! She understood exactly what I wanted and it came out better than I expected. I would easily recommend her for your go to stylist!

Darlene was very friendly and took time to listen to my needs. She was very experienced and recommended the best options. Super friendly and kind. Loved her coolouring and style. First person in a longtime that didnt cut too short. Thank you!

Saskia is amazingly talented. She understands many different types of hair and really gave me a veryvon trend cut. I get many compliments and people ask where I get my color and style done!

I took my son here for the second time and both have been very good experiences. On this particular visit the stylist who looked after my son was amazing (unfortunately her name escapes me). She was very patient and quite engaging. She also gave him far and away the best haircut he ever had. Very good experience.

Jeremy is a fantastic hairdresser (and person)! Chatters provides fair prices for haircuts, and has all the necessary tools and products available for purchase. I have been going to Chatters for years and I don't plan on changing that any time soon!

I'm never disappointed when I come in and get a hair service from Mandy. She gave me an excellent cut and continues to be understanding about my hair type, routine, and tendency to try and take care of my hair myself (generally a bad choice.)

Marlene (I believe that 's her name) was super friendly and made sure I got the exact haircut I wanted. My appointment was very punctual and I very much appreciated it! Moreever, I was glad to see that there are environmental initiatives implemented in the salon in order to reduce negative impacts in the environment. Way to go!
