The food I ordered last week no taste at all and even manager or owner not show up after long wait. The food quality of this place going down day by day. Looks like not professional chef’s or cook’s working restaurant.

Used to be my Go to spot for the paneer briyani and chaap but recently their prices have gone up and the quality of food has decreased. Lacked the taste that we usually enjoy and also had to wait for almost 45 mins before we got our order.

This is the service by this restaurant. Just now. Wait for 1 hrs for dine in when received momos found hair in plate. When we asked for manager guy said he is not here today. Feeling nausated. Very very bad experience.

It was great dining in today. Service was very warm. We were served by priya she was really approachable and polite. Food was also simple, home like and authentic. We tried butter naan, tandoori roti and daal makhni.

I had heard about this restaurant for many years but only went there last week for the first time. My expectation about it was a just another Indian Cuisine restaurant in Brampton. In Brampton, in any Indian restaurant, you will find every curry taste to be same. But trust me, I found each curry had its own taste. Everywhere veg biryani tastes like a Pulao or Khichadi. Here I was blow away by the tasty veg biryani. It's so amazing. Have never tasted any veg biryani like this.

Now it's my fav restaurant in Brampton.

So we went there after a recommendation from a friend. To start with, there was a wait time for abt 25 mins, but we luckily got in sooner. Upon entering, we noticed the ambience was kind of ok. The staff was friendly, and took our order very quickly. And then the disappointment began. The plates that were served, were dirty yellow. We had to ask them to be replaced. For starters we had Schezuan veg Momos. They were hard, chewy, tasted like garlic and felt as they had been reheated multiple times. The other starter was Dry Manchurian, which was a bit better. Both these dishes were served without any sauce or dip. We had ordered Main course too, but decided to get it packed since it was already prepped as we were disappointed with the starters. Food quantity was good. The staff was good and quick. But I would not go there for a second time.

Superb Hakka experience in GTA!

If you are craving for Desi Hakka style Chinese this is a to go place and you would never get disappointed. We went for a dining to Chawla's, ordered hot and sour soup, chicken lollipop, steamed dumplings for appetizers. Chawla's special Hakka mix noodles and chicken Manchurian for main course. The food is just awesome and fresh, it made me nostalgic to get the similar flavor that you had back in India.
Special shout-out to Sunil who helped us through our dining.

Caution: Order responsibly as the portions are big and you may end up taking to go boxes or over eat.

Ambience and service was great. Chaat papdi tasted delicious. Tandoori veggie momos were good, but it would’ve been better if the white sauce was either not included or included separately like the chutney. Pricing and quantity is reasonable.

DONT EAT MOMOS.
CAUTION
THIS PLACE IS A HAZARD. I FOUND MOSQUITO PRESSED UNDER STEAM MOMOS. WORST PLACE TO VISIT.

WHEN I DISCLOSED THEM THEY SAID THEY EAT THE SAME MOMOS AND EXPECTING US TO EAT THE SAME AS WELL.
RECEPTIONIST HAD WORST WAY TO DEAL WITH ME.
I AM GONNA COMPLAINT TO HEALTH departmenT.
I GOT SICK AND I AM TAKING LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THEM.

I searched momos near me and I got this Chawla’s
I was super excited to have some authentic Nepalese momo and chicken chowmien
But I regret later

Good portions. Food was alright.can visit again to try their Veg menu. Looks like the place gets visited by nearby professionals/ office people. Like the comfy seating, service was good. Meny has lot of variety.

One thing i want to highlight. I have been to this place 6-7 times and i had never have any complaints with the hospitality.
They make delicious food without any doubt but their service is excellent and amazing hospitality.

We had great times all the times.

If you love the authentic Indian taste of Manchow soup you should definitely check this restaurant. A special advice from my side, try the spicy one.

I have had dinner party which I was giving as I have passed my G2 exam after 3dd attempt so it was a very big thing for me and it all went well. We have ordered a few dishes and all were good.

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share my recent experience as a long-standing customer of your restaurant. For the past six years, I've been ordering food from Chawla and have always been pleased with the quality and taste.

However, on October 1st, 2023, I placed an order, and the food quality was significantly below the usual standard. I suspect there may have been a change in the chef or a switch to third-party suppliers for chicken moms. What was even more concerning was that when I visited the restaurant to pick up my order around 8: 30 pm, I noticed that many other customers were also complaining about their orders.

I understand that weekends can be busy, but compromising on food quality can have a negative impact on your business, and it may result in losing loyal customers like me. I genuinely hope that you can address these concerns and return to the high standards that have kept me coming back for six years.

I honestly found this place overated. The food tasted okay except steamed chicken momos. The atmosphere was okay as well and people were literally waiting 1 hr to eat here. I have no clue why.

I have never experienced such a terrible manager service before. From start to finish, this whole experience has been a nightmare. Firstly, communication with the manager was practically non-existent. They were rarely available to answer any questions or address any concerns. It felt like they were completely disengaged and uninterested in providing any sort of support or guidance. “ Actually the manager wearing specs was really misguiding everyone very rudely, firstly before coming to this restaurant we called them before closing and she said to come for which we took 1.5 hrs to come to the restaurant and then she told us go home by saying dinning closed, but the current time was 10: 00 pm and they suppose to close at 10: 45 dinning which she claimed and full restaurant closes at 11: 30, we told them its 2nd time you sending us home last time also she did like that but this time i am gonna give review and also there was so many customers with us standing before us having the same issue and then we asked her name she told us “seema “ which was not her name because she did the mistake so she don’t wanna tell name so for proof i took picture for chawala and i will attach it I don’t know who she was manager or what but as a businessman its req to chawala”s owner to see it and take action caz in front of me 10 customers gone home with such a bad experience and they will never refer you again including me and my wife only bcaz of behaviour of that manager “ Overall, this manager service was an absolute disaster. Their lack of communication, organization, leadership, and accountability made this experience extremely frustrating and unproductive. I would strongly advise against using their services, as there are much better options available. Caz at the end your value as a customer is more than the restaurant so guys if same happened with you please like it so that the owner should know about the situation of his restaurant.

Service was very slow and we were at the point of leaving the restaurant without eating. When we took the first bite we found that the wait was worth. All the curries were very tasty. Prices were pocket friendly too. Wish they open a branch in Oakville.

I ordered Veg Biryani for our R&D unit at Taro Pharmaceuticals and everyone loved the Biryani.

I've visited Chawla's before and the food has been really good. My latest takeout wasn't great. I got chicken steamed momos and the chicken was raw inside with a weird texture. Had to throw them away. The keema naan was very thick and doughy unlike the previous time I've ordered. Overall, the food was extremely spicy and not at all worth the price.

I called in to check if we can dine in, girl over the phone told us that we all can do dine in if we reach 10.30 pm, when I reached with family, manager seema mentioned that she couldn’t let us dine and the girls wouldn’t have told me that.
That’s crazy…

We placed an order to Chawalas to try them out for the first time. We initially placed a takeout order however we had to drive far so decided to sit and eat in the facility since it was empty.

The server at the front told us “for take out orders, you cannot sit inside and eat” we offered to pay more just so we can have a seat and eat before we drive. We were told it’s not something that’s even possible as per their “rules”. We asked to speak to the manager as our order was ready, and manager was already defensive as she started speaking to us and informed us there’s no exception to their rules. We again insisted, we don’t need anything extra. We will pay extra if they need to charge us for plates or to clean the tables. Yet were told this is not an option at all.

What a shame, being a new small business. Small considerations like these go a long way. We dint need anything extra but they have lost our business forever off a small issue. Staff needs to be retrained on customer service and customer retention.
