What an amazing experience, food was so scrumptious and affordable would highly recommend to anyone that likes great food with a very good environment

This delightful surprise was just what we were looking for when we had a concert to go to downtown but hadn't decided on a place to eat yet. We just decided to go on a whim and we are so glad we did. Marvin the owner has created a place with a great vibe, fantastic personal service, out of this world cocktails, and some of the most interesting and flavourful food we've had yet in London. We decided to sample several of the cocktails and I can say the sangria is the best we've ever had and the pisco sour is now my new favourite drink. We did tapas - guacamole (that had pomegranate seeds in it and now that's the only way I want my guac thank you), tacos, grilled calamari that was cooked perfectly, and the tostados which we're so flavourful. Everything tasted extremely fresh and with just the right amount of spice. With the great decor and the lively music it was a perfect place to spend a couple of hours. It was also great to get to know Marvin a little. We've decided Che Restobar is going to be our go-to lets hang out at the bar on a Friday night and have a great time place. Can't wait to go again and I've already decided I'm going to try the paella and then the next time the chorizo burger. 12/10 recommendation on this place for a GREAT night out.

Che Restobar in London, Ontario, can be found nestled in the heart of downtown. The interior boasts tasteful decor and thoughtful spacing. While downtown parking is not complimentary, it remains reasonably priced.

The restaurant's staff exude kindness and politeness, though attentiveness may occasionally lag, possibly due to labor shortages. Regrettably, the restroom facilities do not match the restaurant's overall size or quality, lacking both proper design consideration and cleanliness.

Che Restobar's menu is designed to cater to a wide range of tastes, offering a diverse selection of appetizers and straightforward entrees. Our visit was eagerly anticipated, guided by positive reviews.

The appetizer, tacos, impress with their flavor but disappoint with their size, comprising no more than three bites each. At $6, they prove notably smaller than offerings at The Mule. The chips and guacamole, though well-crafted, arrive in petite portions, uncommon for a restaurant.

Entrees, however, leave much to be desired. The chicken enchiladas satisfy the palate but raise concerns about pricing, which I will delve into shortly. The Hanger steak, priced at a steep $29, disappointingly deviates from the expected characteristics of this cut. A true Hanger steak is tender, rich in beefy flavor, and slightly iron-like in taste. It does not command a high price and requires careful trimming. We ordered two of these dishes, and both were astonishingly small. Beyond size, the steak's toughness resembled that of eye of round, far from what a Hanger steak should be. This discrepancy was brought to our server's attention, who regrettably did not address the issue and instead inquired about additional beverage purchases.

Typically, price is not a primary concern when exceptional quality is delivered. Unfortunately, Che Restobar falls short on this front. It represents a complete letdown within its beautifully adorned setting. Departing patrons might genuinely feel shortchanged, especially when considering the subpar steak quality.

The food is fresh and full of flavour. Staff is kind and courteous. Margueritas and ceviche is everything I want in my life. Great atmosphere. My new favourite restaurant in London.

My partner and I celebrated our anniversary here, and it was the perfect way to do so! I have heard many good things of Che, and have been wanting to try this place for years. We knew the food was going to be good, but we had no idea that it would have been THIS GOOD. I am both lactose-intolerant and gluten-intolerant, but most of the menu are things I can have. My partner can eat everything, and he didn't miss out on taste with items that work for me.

Amazing atmosphere and a beautiful patio that makes for a great date spot or a cute place to catch up with friends. Great service and DELICIOUS food and drinks. The patatas bravado was my favourite. They were succulent, soft, flavourful, one of the best foods I’ve eaten. The empanadas and enchiladas were also delicious and flavourful. Portions are fair but filling. Be aware that as a Latin restaurant, you won’t receive the same super quick, in and out service you’d expect at a typical North American restaurant. Your food and drinks may take a while but it’s because everything is made fresh with tons of love and care. I didn’t mind the wait as it allowed me to catch up with my friends and enjoy the beautiful patio. A wasp flew into my drink (totally expected for summertime, not their fault at all lol) and they replaced it for free, no questions asked. Will definitely recommend to everyone and will definitely be back. Thank you for the amazing food and service:)

The Paella here was very good!
But I am reviewing this awesome dining place here because of their churros! I didn’t take a picture but it has been the best churros I have eaten in North America so far.

We had an amazing meal on their patio! I had the Charred Pablano Peppers. My husband had Enchiladas! Such clean and delicious dishes!

Top tier. The food was amazing. Literally every item we had the pleasure of trying, was fantastic. Service was quick, attentive and smiling. Atmosphere was very comfortable. Perfect ambiance. Will definitely be back to check up on consistency
A must try for your local palette

Food was passable. Had grilled Calamari, Pork Belly Taco & Chorizo Burger. Service was great but that won't make up for the food.

Living downtown it's hard not to go to the same pub every time you wanna go out for a date night.
But we decided enough was enough. We headed to Che Restobar. Having checked the menu prior to determine it was reasonably priced of course. Which it is.
We started with drinks; the Cesar and the Mascaras. Which were amazing. The Cesar had tequila in it, giving it a unique flavour without compromising what you expect from a Cesar. The Mascaras was a mint and lime cocktail that on a summer day would probably go down quickly and repeatedly with ease - in a good way.
We split the Holy Guacamole and the homemade chips are what you wish corn chips at the store tasted like. The Guacamole was great with the pico de Gallo being a nice addition. The twist was the pomegranate which was subtle but added a nice sweetness to cut the salty of the chips. Never would have considered it but was pleasantly surprised.
For Dinner we had the Chicken Enchaladas and the Chorizo Burger. They were both exploding with flavour. The burger was the most delicious I've ever had. It was unique but still a burger. The yucca fries were a way better option than traditional fries. I went home and investigated on how to replace potato for yucca in common recipes cause it was such a nice change.
The enchalada was tasty and the sauce was great. The rice and beans were beautifully done and when mixed in with the remaining green tomatillo sauce, I could have had a whole bowl of just that and been satisfied.
We finished the night by splitting the churros and they were light, fluffy and didn't feel greasy like churros often do.
Overall, I'd come back. Not recommended for a quick, cheap meal but otherwise for a nice reasonably priced dinner out/date night. It was perfect.

Absolutely amazing. If you are ever in the area this is a must go to restaurant. I would advise to call and reserve a table as it books up quickly. The food, staff, service and drinks were all amazing.

Amazing yuca fries and a gorgeous and delicious Pisco Sour. Great service and reasonably priced. Too bad I’m from out of town so can’t become a regular here!

We had a lovely dinner at Che. The garden patio is a hidden oasis that we will go back to. We had several seafood dishes that were all excellent, and the churros were perfection. Our server Nicholas was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu.

We went here for my wife’s birthday recently and I would highly recommend this place! The food was absolutely incredible, the drinks were fantastic and they also had live music which really added to the atmosphere! Also if you get a little warm they have a really cool patio out the back! Would highly recommend this place!

Blown away by the flavours I experienced coming to Che Restobar! I absolutely recommended this restaurant to anyone interested in South-American cuisine.

I opted in for the $45 app/main/dessert option, and none of the options disappointed. The anticuchos were tenderly cooked to perfection with the most delicious complementary sauce; the banana-leaf snapper was so fresh and fell apart exactly as you'd hoped and the cilantro and coconut in the rice whispered of depth without taking away from any part of the dish; and the alfajores were perfectly sweetened, fall-apart-in-your-mouth morsels of heaven, with a hint of spiced chocolate, reminding me of family trips to a Chilean spot in Toronto.

The service was so kind and friendly, the music was pleasant, and the atmosphere was slightly abuzz, all for a very reasonable cost.

If you're looking for a great spot for an incredible meal, this is the place.

I never been offered a choice of ceviche anywhere before. It was delicious! I wish I had been able to try both selections. Fantastic meal for a great price. The four of us were delighted with the freshness and flavours.

The food was good, portion sizes for some plates could be larger and the menu could definitely benefit from a (somewhat) larger selection. Being a new customer I don't know if the menu rotates or not!

More fresh juices as non-alcoholic beverages at non alcoholic prices.would be a suggestion as well.

Difficult to be a repeat customer if you are only interested in one or two menu items when going for the first time.

Although the service was ok (better from the server), I'm primarily giving it a 3 star review because the music was SO loud on the patio, I couldn't even hear my partner. I asked the DJ to turn down the volume, which he acknowledged then didn't turn down. I moved farther away from the speakers to enjoy my dinner. The cozy patio environment does NOT match the loud music played. This restaurant is not a club (I think)!

Che is a restaurant I know that I'll be visiting again.

The staff truly stood out to me. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. From explanations to recommendations, you don't have to worry about what to order if it's your first time here.

The food itself, was of course some of the best latin food I've ever had. I've been craving the patatas bravas with their chorizo crumble every day since then.
