Every time we’re in all the staff are so kind. Whether we’re in for a check up or for an emergency all the vets are amazing. When one of our friends gets a new animal we always recommend Chedoke!

Staff is extremely friendly and VERY helpful. Such a wonderful establishment! Dr Dudley is amazing and Sir Barry and I are so happy with his care.

Chedoke Animal Hospital takes care of both our dogs, a senior and a puppy. They are very attentive to each of their needs and make sure to explain everything clearly. They are always avaliable to answer questions. All the staff are very approachable and sympathetic to every situation, from new life, infections and the passing of a pet.

My cats have worms, and to get a dewormer, I had to get an appointment (2 and a half weeks away) or send in a stool sample. So I gave them the sample ($90) and had to call them cause they didn't get back to me. Turns out it apperrently is negative. So I send the pictures to a vet in mississauga I know, and he immediately conforms they have worms. So to conclude, this resulted in:
extra weeks with them having worms
$90 for the sample and the drive to mississauga to get medications.

First appointment for my cat. Ample parking. Checked in quickly. Vet Doc was friendly, clear and handled my cat expertly. Invoice at the end was not a shock. So releived to find a good vet for my floof.

Everyone at Chedoke is so friendly and caring! The way they love our dog Millie is so comforting. Some dogs may not like the vet but Millie loves coming and is excited to see everyone and I think that speaks volumes on the type of people that work here!

I have been going to Chedoke Animal Hospital for years. I have taken many pets there and just visited with my new kitten for a check up and vaccinations. I took my foster dogs there and the staff were very helpful with this revolving door of +30 dogs over three years. My pets have always gotten great care there and I've gotten all the help and information I needed. The prices are reasonable although having a pet is never cheap. LOL.

Bella has been going here for at least 12yrs. They know Bella is our world! They are absolutely amazing to my baby girl, and they are wonderful to us humans too. I truly feel they adore Bella, which makes us feel calm/relaxed when she's there. Thank you for all that you have done. She will be 14yr this year and I can't help but thank Chedoke Animal Hospital for the amazing care!

A very good vet office Dr. S Harris is a great doctor treats our cat very well the office is a bit older but in no way detracts from the quality of service would recommend this vet to anyone

Don’t use this Vet, they’ll do testing you don’t need done to make the extra buck. If you have a diabetic animal you should especially avoid this place.

We have been bringing Maya, our Doberman, here since she was 9 weeks old. HIGHLY recommend.

Getting an appointment is always quick, and with the app they use it is very easy.

I've been coming to Chedoke Animal Hospital for several years. I have received only excellent and compassionate service from each member of staff. I am extremely grateful for their outstanding care.

Always explain terms we understand. All the staff clearly love animals. We love the interactions they have with our pets. I never feel that we are being over sold. You always have our pets best interest first. Aways return call promptly. 99.9% of the time they answer the phone with a person, machine picks up very rarely. Never kept waiting for more then 4 or 5 min after appointment time, most of the time its right on schedule! Wouldn’t take our pets anywhere else.

I had unfortunately lost an entire bag of the Royal Canin Puppy Development food and was in desperate need for a replacement bag. My home veterinary clinic and surrounding clinics all had the food on a back order. I called Chedoke animal hospital and was promptly advised they had a bag in stock, and within 25 minutes I met the lovely Sarah out front. She was super helpful, cheery, and knowledgeable and I learned a lot about canine dental and what chews are good and what are bad (looking at you antlers!). What a pleasant experience that was, and I am considering changing my home vet to Chedoke, especially after reading all of these positive reviews. Awesome work!

My cats are always well-treated. I have been with this Vet Clinic/Hospital for roughly 12-years.

The vets are phenomenal, very gentle, caring and take the time to explain everything to you. The staff/technicians are very friendly and caring. All are more than happy to answer questions and help in any way. I can call and get answers to basic questions, for my pets; more specific questions are referred to a vet or an appointment made.

Their website is very user-friendly, I can order food and have a repeat order put in place. They also offer Pet Desk, which helps to keep me up-to-date with my pets’ health and medications and appointments.

Our cat, Wednesday, hates the car ride in the cat carrier to the vet, but she seems to really like everyone there and seems to enjoy being there. I know that they have to do various things that must be uncomfortable for her, but, they really know what their doing and Wednesday just doesn’t seem to mind.

We had to find a vet quickly as our previous vet was no longer practicing anf our dog had an ear infection. The staff were very helpful when I called in looking to find out about the practice and the fees they have.
They are very reasonable and the vet/techs are very knowledgable and helpful with the problems presented

Although we have only been clients for a few month's, our dog's have been treated with kindness by the wonderful ladies at the front door, that hand off is tough during covid, although I understand the need for this and the team makes me feel better about not being there with my fur babies.
The doctor calls us back after examination and advises about what she found, treatment and follow up.
Everything is explained in detail and we really appreciate that.

If I could leave a 0-star review I most definitely would! Chedoke Animal “Hospital”, I recommend EVERYBODY to stay away from this place if you care about your family pet. Our family pet of seven years was admitted to the Chedoke Animal Hospital recently after we started to notice changes in appetite and attitude. To our pets’ demise, the Chedoke Animal Hospitals’ staff treated her as a low-priority patient, clearly dismissing the very present and severe issues at hand. After five x-rays as well as countless other tests (all being in succession - one after the other), NOT ONE test had proven to be effective. The only information our family received was the BILL. Six thousand dollars and two weeks later, no advancements were made and when the staff was questioned about her state of health, they were hesitant to answer. Once our family decided to question why no results were being presented, as per these ongoing tests that were clearly on the bill, the staff had sent us legal documents that stated we would not be able to take legal action. Mittsue will never be forgotten by the people who were lucky enough to have met her. Thank you for being such a significant part of our family!

I had a great experience.even though it wasn't a nice visit.my poor old fur baby had to be put down.the people were super with us.very nice and professional.they let us have time with her after the fact. I would suggest them to anyone.

The care that is taken when working with my dog is second to none. It’s fast friendly and organized.

Everything was perfect. Great employees with a very positive attitude, worked as fast as they could even in a bit of a rush. Very caring towards my dog which made me comfortable.they let me know everything during the appointment, during covid i can’t be in but they inform me of his time inside. They provide all the right information i’ll need for further in the future plus extra to help me get a good understanding of what he’s getting treated with. We were very nervous with our new puppy, as it was her first visit with a vet. They exceeded our expectations, and were so nice and accommodating to all our needs. They loved our puppy as their own, and we will be making them her new vet! I'm so happy and relieved, we found such amazing, caring people to provide the best health for our puppy.

Great experience here. I chose this clinic because my dog has a lot of anxiety about males and there were female vets here. I am so glad I chose this place! All of the staff are warm and helpful, particularly Dr. Heinen. I had to take my girl in twice for the same issue (eye infection) in a short period of time and she recommended I start trying an over the counter remedy before dropping the money to see her each time. Very considerate and helpful!

They had our Royal Canin wet cat food in stock which was an anomaly. Very friendly and helpful staff

Professional, reliable, and compassionate! Dr. Harris is a great vet — definitely recommend this clinic.

Staff is working very hard to assist you and COVID protocol in place put more stress on them, and they are still smiling. Dr. Heinen's holistic approach to caring, Dr. Harris' surgical gift, and all super nice and competent staff are the reasons why my "Wilson" the retriever is going to be 14, and Sophie 18 with her postumus spirit still lives. Some occasional miscommunications but overall an excellent hospital which I highly recommend.

I've been taking my cats here for 20 years. I'm very happy with all of these services they provide.

Very competent veterinarians, RVTs and staff. Under the COVID restrictions they are very busy (need to book a bit farther ahead) but they are still looking after their patients well.

I have been taking me cats here for over 20 years. The vets are wonderful! And the staff used to be fantastic. In the past I would have given them 5 stars all day but in the last 6 months or so I have found the service lacking. The new staff make you feel unwelcome and unwanted. They make you feel unimportant and that they are too busy to "deal" with you. They tell you to call back and check on your order in a few days and then when you do they give you attitude about calling. Please find more pleasant people to answer the phones! Makes me want to look for a new vet because of not wanting to have to talk to the office staff

Love the staff here at Chedoke Animal Hospital! They take such good care of my Golden Retriever, Dexter when he visits, the staff are so wonderful with him! We order our food from Chedoke as well, and the girls always offer to help me carry it to the car. Very friendly & personable, I would definitely recommend to bring your fur baby here!

Not too impressed.pricey and up-selling on services. Vet missed a tumour in 2 physical exams, my dog had to be put down recently. The tumour was large and should have been felt.

I have been going to Chedoke Animal Hospital for just over 16 years now and I would like to say that the old secretary's that used to work there were vary nice, friendly and made me feel vary welcome every time I went there. However in my experience some of the new secretary's are NOT nice or friendly and have made me feel vary unwelcome so much so that I am considering finding a new vet. P.s I give 5 out of 5 stars for the vets and the nurses but only 2 stars for the secretary's.

When we were searching for a vet after adopting a senior Himalayan cat 2 years ago, my cousin (who is also a veterinarian but works too far out of town for us) told me that this was the only place she trusted in our area. I cannot say enough good things about how compassionate, friendly and professional the staff have been and they LOVE Maverick. They work hard and seem to form bonds with all the owners and their animals we see coming in and out. Always such a great experience.

Me and my girlfriend have been taking our cat Blue to Chedoke for a little over a year now everything was good until we had our first experience with Dr. Harris. She’s very insistent when it come to medications without little to no research or testing. Our cat has been sneezing a lot with intermittent vomiting and diarrhea, she was telling us we need to purchase food from the vet in order to fix his issues which we purchased the exact same food for a cheaper price at pet smart and it didn’t make a difference but made him worse she gave us medication which caused him to vomit more and keep in mind all these things that were done there was no testing just assumptions. Spent tons of money no results we had to go else where to get him treated. To top it all off my girlfriend had an elderly cat who was clearly in distress and when she spoke to her about euthanization Dr. Harris said she “didn’t want to see a cat to die for no reason” this cat was 16 years old with noticeable declined heath and insisted on buying multiple medications to prolong the life of a cat who only survived 6 months after that appointment. He passed at home which was traumatic for my gf and her mom they’ve had cougar his entire life for it to only end like that.

Our cats are patients at Appleview Animal Hospital in Burlington. They didn't have a vet available on the long weekend and referred us to Chedoke. Snow was diagnosed with diabetes which also caused a uti so she was in need of fairly urgent treatment. All the staff were amazing at Chedoke and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. They all took such good care of our furbaby!

Most vets there are very nice, but there's one that is a little rude when you're talking about costs. Obviously I want my dog to have the best but not everyone can afford every little medication and test, wish she was more understanding with that.

It has taken me a very long time to write this, but my baby Nitro, seen here with Santa in 2017 passed away not 6 months later at age 11 - 12 - 13. No one really knows how old Nitro was. But he was my companion and he saved my life in 2007, but that is a story for another day.
EVERYONE at Chedoke Animal Clinic did EVERYTHING that they could have done for Nitro and me. He literally got sick over night. It is never easy to say good bye to your beloved companion, but everyone at the clinic from Dr. Harris and Dr. Erica and the Technicians and administrative staff (I can not name them all) but on the day Nitro came in, Sarah and Anita and Dr. Harris helped me survive this difficult decision that every pet owner know will come to pass. My soul was ripped out that day. Without their compassion (which they show countless pets and owners alike day in and day out) I don't know how I was going to make it through. That was May 18th, 2018.
Today, they care for Murphy (the other shot) - my beautiful stubborn 100lb Golden Retriever who came into my life by chance shortly after the passing of Nitro. Chedoke is the ONLY place I shall ever take my fur-kids. It is true what another reviewer stated: A vet is not unlike your family doctor. There is a "history" to establish and a repore to build and it is a disservice too our furkids to bounce them around from place to place. For those who need financial assistance, I am certain there would be someone to speak to about options. For now trust me when I say that Chedoke Animal Hospital, in my opinion, is the BEST Clinic in Hamilton, Ancaster, Dundas and the surrounding areas.
