Jason was great- he explained everything as we made our way through the house, and provided a detailed report, including photos. We were quite nervous about what he might find, as we were purchasing an older home, but his professionalism and sense of humour put us at ease immediately. We would definitely hire Jason again for any future real estate purchases!

I know it's been a crazy market that not a lot of people do house inspection anymore. But having Jason checked out my house before buying is the best money I have ever spend for a long time. As a first time homeowner, and of a new build, everyone I consulted with said I didn’t need a home inspection, as any issues would be covered by the warranty anyway. Right before the first 30-day claim was to expire, I followed my gut and had Jason come out, and I’m SO glad I did! He found a ton of issues that I perhaps would have never discovered until they were potentially much larger issues. The format of his completed report made filling out the Tarion forms a breeze. He also gave me a lot of tips and pointers on general quarterly/annual home maintenance, which helped me build a schedule to make sure I stay on top of things. If you are thinking of booking him, please do it! It’s a small price to pay for invaluable advice that could potentially save you lots of money in the long run.

I have been working on installing my own wood stove. It is very difficult to find concrete answers on the expectations to pass a WETT inspection for a non-certified stove. The housing market in the GTHA can be overwhelming for first time home buyers like myself and my wife. We found a home we loved within our price range, but we were in a rush to perform a pre-inspection before putting in our offer. Jason at Cherry Home Inspections took the booking on very short notice and was pro-active about offering solutions for the best ways to use the limited time we had to complete the inspection.

Once on-site, Jason was incredible. First, he was on-time. Not just on-time but early, making sure the limited time we had would be used to its maximum potential. He was friendly, polite, and made us feel at ease right away.

Despite our limited time, Jason was able to perform a thorough inspection and identify priority issues. He took the time after our scheduled inspection window to discuss these issues with us and made sure we understood what the situation was. He was informative and patient and explained issues in a way that allowed us to feel empowered about the (huge) decisions we were about to make.

At the end of the inspection, Jason even did a little photo shoot with the drone he used for the roof inspection which was such a kind, unexpected touch!

We received our report that evening full of easy-to-understand items with clear action items.
