Cherry Street Bar-B-Que

Braved a blizzard for Cherry Street BBQ’s ‘meat-tastic’ bonanza and it was like finding Atlantis, if Atlantis was a rib joint with a Michelin star and a staff who cared less than my cat. The brisket? Worth frostbite. Chicken wings? Angelic. Coleslaw? More like ‘mostly-slaw’. Service was as warm as our frozen toes, but hey, when your ribs are this good, who needs a smile?

Food was cold, beans were stale, mac and cheese was dry. Food only good if you never had good bbq before. BEWARE

Went to try this place as it was on the Michelin Bib list early 2023.was not disappointed! Food was phenomenal and very reasonably priced (one of the best value for money of any Michelin bib in Toronto). Service was friendly and attentive.

Only downside is that it's in a very remote location and the surrounding area is under development.

Not great for a walking tour, but exceptional if you want delicious barbeque.

Had the small sampler. The meat was a bit dry. The bbq beans and coleslaw were quite tasty. Asked for bbq sauce but did not get any. Service overall was ok.

Surprisingly the food we ordered came out at room temperature which made it not taste well.

Very good restaurant for BBQ. There is a large selection and it is easy to put together a menu. All the dishes I have tried are excellent and I would order again at any time. The ribs and pulled pork in particular were incredibly tasty. The restaurant is a bit out of the way, but can still be easily reached on foot with a short walk.

Haven't had BBQ in awhile and I really enjoyed this place. We got the sampler which included brisket, ribs, chicken, pork, sausage, salad, beans, and coleslaw.

Every single meat was tender and filled with flavour. It was easy to cut through and the ribs came off the bone easily. I also really enjoyed the sausage. The chicken is a bit dry for me but other than that, it was still good.

We also tried their kale Caesar salad which was pretty small for the price (the croutons had a weird taste to it that I can't really pinpoint though).

Service was good and it was nice outside (we sat at the patio, the inside was like a sauna). Staff was friendly too.

But staff need to be more kind! Show a little smile! I visited 4 times, and staff seem intimidating a little.

Great place for BBQ, one of the best in Toronto. All the meats are made smokey and flavourful. For the sides, highly recommend the mac and cheese.

They also have a nice patio with live music when dine-in re-opens again.

Best Barbeque in Toronto! I am always blown away at how amazing their food is. Looking forward to going in person to eat on the patio when it opens up again:)

I went there to buy fries and ice tea the only thing is no salt or pepper or vinager was not served with my meal

Never have tried Cherry St before. Ordered riblets and pickles and did not disappoint! Amazing food and I just got the most basic things. Can’t wait to try more! Also the portion size vs price is great. If you like spicy the spicy bbq is actually spicy and compliments like crazy. Thanks Cherry St!

Outstanding bbq and friendly, great service. Legit corn bread, melt in your mouth brisket and the most flavorful burnt ends I've ever had. Not usually a big fan of sausage but it is lights out fantastic here and all the meats are juicy. Amazing food each and every time. Portions are excellent!

We were craving meat (and lots of it) — and so happy we found this place. We got the small sampler and it’s more than enough for 4 adults. The meats were juicy, fresh and flavourful. Also loved the side of pickles, onions and jalapeños — mmmm my mouth is watering again we will definitely be back!

It was the first we ever wanted to visit this place. We asked about the menu items to find out more about them as me and my fiance wanted some authentic barbecue. The person who picked up the phone was obnoxious and very rude and said I have to serve other customers and not you. Call back when you know what you want in an extremely rude tone. I highly recommend this person <Female; worked on May 13,2021 >, not to work in a customer facing setting.

If you want to support local businesses - I highly suggest you go elsewhere, where your business is appreciated. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!

Best BBQ in the city, hands down. Great outdoor vibe in the summer with occasional live music. Pulled pork sandwiches are the go to.

This place is crazy good. I'm about to drift into a food coma right now. Everything was amazing. I'll never eat Costco ribs ever again. I'm ruined. The beans were amazing. And this is coming from somebody that hates beans.

I don't know if I came on a bad day or what. First time trying because of the hype.but I ordered food around noon on a Saturday, and got the platter for 2. The food was not done and we did not finish it. The chicken was still bloody like when I say bloody, the bone was pure red when you break it and the meat was pink and the ribs were not fully cooked. The mac and cheese was dry. The best thing we had was the brisket. Maybe because I came at noon and the food wasn't done? But it shouldn't be like that. Pretty disappointed: (

If you want an over priced soggy, mushy, tasteless chicken or pulled pork sandwich then this is the place for you. Don’t waste your money. So so so disappointed

Fred & Missy make the place smile. Great brisket, love the pulled pork. However, the surprise is in their yummy vegetable chili. I would say it's finger-lickin good but you have to eat it with a spoon. Do try the 'slaw' it's different AND crunchy tasty. Going back again to try their other offerings.

My favourite BBQ place, bar none. The food is always so fresh and cooked just right. The staff are never not friendly and love the neighborhood!

The gentleman taking our order at the cash felt like he hated his life, and that reflected in his customer service. Food was average at best. Brisket sandwich was the best thing on the menu. Wouldn't do it again
