The staff is very helpful and friendly. Everywhere I go I am talk about the facility from the library ro the grocery store. Check it out and tell your friends.

Best recreational place in east Toronto. Well organized with full facilities.

However,

Reception staff needs to be more efficient. Lack of Training and organizing issues.

Parking is another issue especially in winter time.

Very nice facility in general, BUT! When I went to the men's washroom on the balcony of the ice arena, the stench of urine had me dry heaving. It was so bad that I almost didn't make it out without vomiting.
I was told by the custodian that the urinals didn't have the ability to flush. Use the individual restrooms!

All of the events are scheduled during the day so only seniors can go. If you are working, you would have to take a day off from work if you wanted to participate in anything.

Very friendly staff. Large pool. Lots of locker rooms. The toddler pool is very limited - other nearby rec centres are much better for toddler pools. Great day care facility and staff! Lots of cardio equipment in the gyms. Decent mix of exercise equipment split into two areas. Arena at the back with 2 pads and some party rooms. Go lightning!

It's an awesome place for sports and recreational facilities. Should be place of pride for Pickering
Today what I was impressed was the way they are organizing sports and fun activities for 55+ guys and dance etc for dance and cultural enthusiasts.by 7 AM one sees over 100 cars parked and steady stream of visitors.

A very well created recreational facility. Thoughtful programs to meet the dynamics and diversity of the community.

After the upgrades a couple years ago the rec centre looks and is amazing. Pool is big with lots of stuff to use during public swims. Delaney (Hockey rink there) is amazing and feels professional.

Alex the swimming instructor is very professional. We felt very comfortable taking swimming class with him.

Nice to see the Pickering Rex Centre filled with families again for Saturday morning swimming lessons. More seating in the observation area would be nice. Lots of Moms with little ones left standing while guys sat on the benches looking at their phones.

I was there on Sunday. Front parking lot was full. Rear parking lot only a few cars. They offer Family swimming also have Racquet ball courts. Hockey Leagues on Saturdays.

Great place to go and learn swimming or for a workout. The lockers in the universal change room are buggy ao it’s preferable to carry your own lock.

Will always be a special place for me as I lived in Pickering for a number of years and took my growing daughter to many activities at the Rec Center.

Went in to take a look at a room we want to rent. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to answer all our questions.

Nice facility for swimming lessons. The universal change room and pool deck get a bit chaotic between lessons. Kinda gross that people are wearing street shoes and boots on the deck. Definitely bring flip-flops! The toddler pool is nice and warm!
