The food here is absolutely amazing! Each dish bursts with incredible flavors and freshness. From appetizers to main dishes, every bite was a delight. A definite must-visit!
What a Gem! Such a lovely atmosphere, quality food, and excellent service. Mark, our server, was exceptionally professional, conscientious, and patient. He answered any questions we had and all of the dishes he recommend were delicious!
My family and I got to enjoy the following meals: Mango Salad Pad See Ew (1 veg and 1 chicken) Spring Rolls Red Curry with rice Malai Curry with rice Crispy Chicken Stir Fry Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce
Everything was 10/10 including the service. Staff are so friendly. Will 100% come again. Sad that we didn’t take any photos of the food. It was so good that it was gone before we could even think of taking any!
Great vibe and nice dinner spot. Food is nicely presented. Had high expectations as several people had recommended Chiang Mai. Got the Panang and Khao Soi and asked for "Thai Spicy", their highest level of spice. It tasted nothing above mild and in fact was quite sweet. I know these aren't traditionally spicy dishes but have had them elsewhere and spicy meant spicy, or at the very least not sweet! The fried calamari was good, but served with sweet sauce. The server was kind enough to bring us chilli oil, but that too was not spicy at all. Service was fine.
The pad thai was amazing, especially because it had tamarind sauce! The workers were attentive. I came here without reservation during a time when it wasn’t busy. I came back here with my family to try out more dishes and I still think their pad thai is the best of the best. The fried chicken was good as an appetizer. I also enjoyed the curry a lot. It was super busy when I arrived but this time, I booked a reservation.
Visited Etobicoke location to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The server was amazing and her recommendations were on point. We ordered Ice Tea, Malay Curry and Pad Thai. We heard a lot of good reviews about their Ice Tea, and it surpassed our expectations, a must try. The server told us to try Malay Curry… being an Indian, I crave flavours and this was by far the best Thai dish…. The best! So much flavour that I didn’t mind getting to every last bit of the curry off of my plate. The only advice I have is, don’t eat the pad Thai after you eat the Malay curry, it will feel just bland (although it isn’t). I highly recommend these two dishes (we didn’t like the ice cream at all) and thanks to the server who made our day. She arranged a birthday surprise as well towards the end, an amazing and content experience.
A fantastic environment with great staff, the meal is absolutely amazing The family will be returning Thanks Chiang Mai Thai Kitchen for a great evening
A decent Thai food & drink spot. To drink I grabbed their Cabernet which was nice & their Dragonfruit cocktail is quite delicious. Food met expectations, curry pad thai > pad see ew (both are still good).
Maybe it’s just my timing or something but had to swat away flies for a minute.
The waiter was great and the food is tasty but we've still had a horrible experience the last three times we've come.
1. Hung up on multiple times while making a reservation. 2. Had to wait 30 minutes to place our order and 45 minutes to get our food but was repeatedly reminded we had to leave within 90 minutes from being seated. 3. The shift supervisor raised her voice and was rude in response to us asking for a different table, our reservation for 6 people was given a table for 4.
The Mango salad and Pad Thai was probably the worst Ive ever had in Toronto. Extremely unripe mangoes.thick cut like chunky French fries with no dressing, herbs or spice. Soy sauce in Pad Thai? Really?
Delicious red curry saved the day. There are much tastier authentic Thai restaurants out there in Toronto. Three stars is being generous. We didn’t order it, but Pineapple Fried Rice looks like the go to menu item <smirk>
Nice decor.however the service is slow. I sent the salad back, and the older server questioned if I knew what authentic Thai food was. Wow.
This has been our go to thai place for the last few years. It just hits the spot. We like the rice, pad thai,
We've always done take out. Word of warning for take out, (i usually order on a weekend) don't bother going earlier thinking your food might be ready before the estinated time. Food will almost always take a hour. But it's worth it.
Love the food here. Tasty & amazing quantity (can legit have 2 meals out of a single meal). The service can be on the slower side sometimes but I think the amazing vibes on the inside make the overall experience enjoyable. Takeout also maintains the quantity. Cocktails are fun and tasty. Been here/done take out quite a bit now and outside of once with the slow service due to the crowd, always had a great experience
For ambiance, seating, decor, and location, Chiang Mai is perfect. As for the food, it was a complete disaster, with too much salt, and soy sauce, I think the chef just poured 4 liters of soy sauce with some mild pepper and called it Chaing Mai house sauce. I do not recommend eating here if you are trying to stay healthy.
Very nice, the setting for me was stunning, literally took me back to the festive period in Chiang Mai. Food although was fantastic slightly on the pricer side for what it was. Still very good, in my top 10 Thai places in DT
Amazing food but Etobicoke location is the worst location. Got seated in front of the door and felt very claustrophobic felt like I was in a cafeteria.
Packed when we arrived early for our reservation for 8 on a Friday. We were seated on time and promptly told maximum seating time is 2 hours.
We ordered around 10 minutes in. Our server, Mark, was pleasant, attentive and an overall nice guy. No issues when we ordered our food.
Some of us ordered apps. Some didn’t. The first two mains arrived around 1 hour in. Those who didn’t order apps endured an hour long food tease. Further to this, the rest of the mains trickled in over the next half hour. Sucks to be the person who received their food last. At least they enjoyed it hot out of the kitchen whereas those who received their food first graciously waited and watched their food get cold, slowly dying right in front of their eyes.
Despite the poor service, the food and drink were pretty good.
Clearly, the kitchen struggled. Maybe someone called in sick. Maybe they were facing some other challenges outside of their control. Maybe management should’ve prepared better and if not possible, walked around to give their customers a heads up. I am proud to say though we did manage to inhale our food in the last thirty minutes and made it out before the two hour timer ran out.
Maybe I’ll come back to enjoy their delicious food when they aren’t as busy.
Lively spot in the Toronto neighborhood of Etobicoke. Creative cocktails, great Thai food, and good service make for a fun dinner. A little loud and a little too much subwoofer for our tastes, but still very enjoyable!
First time here and I cannot elaborate enough what an amazing place it is. This place hits a high five in everything from food, service, ambiance and flavors of the food. Special shout out to Alex, he is a solid 5 and Jay for their wonderful service. A must visit.
Great place to have dinner. The food was good with generous portions. Vegetarian options are on thé menu. We had a delicious massaman vegetarian, a panang chicken curry and sticky rice mangos for dessert. The staff is very nice with great customer service. Reservation is highly recommended, people want to go there.
The management here needs a serious upgrade. Rude and disorganized staff. Extremely long wait times, missing items from my order - what we did receive was mediocre food and not worth all the hassle. If you want good food and good service, go somewhere else.
Absolutely amazing restaurant, great location right next to the lake, some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had, and the ambiance of the restaurant is just perfect. The food is amazing both visually and taste wise and there is free parking in the back, so be already been twice and will definitely go again. I can highly recommend this place.
Booked a reservation online for 7pm and input credit card details, when I called to ask a question about my reservation, the lady who answered was INCREDIBLY rude and snappy for absolutely no reason, when I was nothing but kind to her. She kept cutting me off and telling me she’s moving my reservation to 9: 30 because it’s so last minute that I booked, even though there are about 6 available reservation times available around 7pm. She said they only have online reservations to collect credit card details, not to actually book a time for a reservation time (which is so strange and sketchy). I’ve never been so appalled by someone’s blatant attitude and disrespect just because I called and asked a question. I was so excited to dine here but unfortunately I won’t be supporting this kind of restaurant.
Muslims be cautious: lady on phone says their meat supplier is halal certified but they do not have a halal certificate in store to show customers! ***
It is a lively place, with halal food and an amazing bar. Food portions are huge. Staff is also very friendly and welcoming. They are trained as well and are ready to offer details about the food and ingredients. Sauces along with calamari are quite distinctive, had it as starters.
The food was pretty good, overall though the quick pace took away the enjoyment of our meal. I’d say the mango salad was underwhelming in flavour. Service felt too rushed. Servers, though very nice, kept coming to our table to take our order and press us to order our main courses before all appetizers were even served. They said our order would not all come to our table at once and that they just wanted to get the orders in. The food did come out too quickly and our table of 4 was overloaded with food which made it hard to fit on the table or pass around without spilling a drink. This felt more like a fast food vibe and not a sit, chat and enjoy your meal type of restaurant. Recommend ordering food for pickup or delivery unless you want to be rushed through your meal.
Too too good food, very warm staff, we actually had to wait for 30 mins for the table but the staff was so amazing, they got us the window seat which one rarely gets here and the food, I would say it was worth the wait, we tried their Garlic chicken and veggie stir fry and it was amazing. Thank you so much team Chiang Mai
Food is great, service is great, presentation is great, drinks are great, atmosphere is great. Only thing I’d say is I wish the quantity for the pineapple fried rice was more
I’ve been to this restaurant plenty of times in the past, all for takeout. The food is good but the customer service is just awful. I recently drove from out of town and ordered takeout and when I got home one of the orders was completely wrong (it had meat in it and the person I ordered for is vegetarian so it wasn’t edible). I tried 4 times to contact the restaurant through their email and “live chat” (which indicates they respond immediately) it’s been over a week and I haven’t had a reply from anyone. Not surprising when you read all the reviews about how bad the customer service is, and all they ever say back is “our customers are our top priority” but poor customer service seems to be the only consistent thing about the restaurant.
First off, the flavours, service and presentation were all amazing. The decor is cool and modern and when they get their liquor license they will be a cool spot to go for a drink.
This place is not Thai take out but saying that the price for quality ingredients and service was great.
Super attentive and friendly staff. Excellent presentation and taste. Very nice addition to the neighbourhood. Will return for sure. Vegan options are a plus. Looking forward to full menu with more vegan options.
Great place, a must try! Excellent presentation and service and the food tastes even better the it looks of that is even possible, each dish looks like a piece of art! Very friendly and welcoming staff, Kevin was very attentive and provided excellent service, we will definitely be coming back soon!
Food and presentation was incredible and the service couldn’t have been better. Kevin was our server - he was very friendly and made great reccomendations.
Amazing authentic Thai food. Great ambiance and azing place to go with family and friends. One of the best curry dishes I have ever tasted.presentation is off the chart.
Kevin was a great server! And the food was delicious. Very fresh and they offered Thai dishes that I haven't seen in other restaurants. Loved the spring rolls and Pad Se-ew! The restaurant decor is warm and stylish. Would be a great place for a date too. The restaurant is a great addition to the neighborhood.
Good, honestly. Aside from some technical issues (the menu font was printed way too small) the experience was very pleasant. We were just in Thailand visiting Chiang Mai about a month ago and the food here was very comparable. We are told the chef was essentially imported for this job, and he does really well. The Thai Spice is definitely not as spicy as Thailand's offering but it's more than spicy enough. The green curry was delicious, the red curry with pineapple was the standout what a joy to eat, and the pad thai was the slight disappointment because of the glass noodles which didn't absorb any of the oil in the dish leaving the mouth feel more oily than desired. Great staff, great prices, great decor, and great portions.
This place has been open for a couple of days and I already burnt my allowance for the month. Amazing food, service and quality! You can't go wrong. If I could give 10 stars I would.
Absolutely Amazing! A must try. I had 3 different dishes and I loved them all. Food is tasty and flavourful. Great vibe as well. I highly recommend it.
