Went to danforth location recently and was sadly disappointed. Hesitant to come but cousin loves this place so we came for her birthday dinner on friday and had very good experience. Food was a lot more fresh here and more tastey.our server was also very nice and the best, saw her running everywhere! If you go, ask for elly, so sweet.was a bit cold when door opens, hopefully they can increase heating, wil be back

Pretty good and cozy Thai spot in Markham. Service was quick and they were attentive. Food was also tasty. We ordered pad kra pao, pad Thai, and khao soi along with a few drinks.

The drinks were a bit sweet for my taste but they were not bad.

The kra pao was a bit salty but had a good flavour to it. I was hoping for more basil though.

The pad Thai and khao soi were decent.

Overall, the experience was great and would definitely visit this place again.

Dinner for two. Ordered 1lb of chicken wings and crispy tofu for appetizers. Main dishes we ordered were Pad Thai chicken and Thai Basil fried rice (beef). I had one 6oz glass of red wine (Pinot Noir). The food quality was fantastic! The service was top notch and had a few pleasant side conversations with the staff. Music played was 90s - 2000s over the speaker system which is my era of music. One of our go to places for Thai food!

The best Thai restaurant I’ve been to in Toronto! The food is so incredibly delicious and flavourful. The star of the show was the pineapple fried rice. I also loved the pad Thai - next time I’d order it with tofu because I preferred the tofu over the chicken. The interior is really fun and beautiful and it was really heartwarming to see the restaurant packed with diverse cultures and families enjoying their meal. The servers were very friendly. It is a busy restaurant so you may have to call them over and ask for water refills and such. Really excited to go back!

The food is SPECTACULAR! Loved all the vegetarian/ vegan options. Our server, Leone, was so welcoming & wonderful. Very cheerful. Loved the experience.

Favourite thai place at the moment! Just wish their chefs were consistent because sometimes the food looks and tastes different than other times but overall still great

All time favorite Thai restaurant the food always hits the right spot. As a Thai food enthusiast trust me I’ve. Been to several Thai restaurant in the GTA nothing comes close to this. I recommend the Tom yum soup and the famous pad Thai. Don’t take my words for it check it out once

One of my favourite spot for delicious food and excellent services. Don't sleep on the restaurant I can vouch all the dishes in this restaurant, I am a regular customer and have been coming here for more than 3 years and the food keeps on getting better.

We were WOW by their food! Excellent taste, awesome food! Above and beyond customer service! Red, Yellow and Green Currys are fantastic! Their Shrimp Pad Thai and Chicken Pineapple Fried Rice are great! Their Appetizers are not to forget too! The order of our Food came very fast! Thai Green Mango Salad and Tom Yum Soup are excellent too! F Unbelievable Fast and Great Service! Except the music was a bit too loud.we were happy we were sitting at the back of the restaurant! We have recommended our friends and family to dine in here if they can withstand the loud music atmosphere and just go for the Food and Service! I have given 5 Stars for Food and Service and 3 Stars for Atmosphere. Very busy plaza! I don't mind to go back again!

This place never disappoints! We order delivery almost on a weekly basis at work. The staff is super friendly! The food never lacks flavor or quality. They have THE BEST chilli oil! Always a favorite spot for us:).

My friend and I were greeted with a friendly smile and seated quicky. Hot or cold water was offered while we decided on our order.
The restaurant filled quite quickly. We arrived on a Tuesday at 12: 30pm. The ambiance is quaint and clean including utensils, glassware and dishes.
We ordered spring rolls (not shown), crispy calamari, Chicken Pad Thai and Lamb Drunken Noodles,
The spring rolls disappointed us. Presented very well but fell short on flavour. Quite bland except for the lovely accompanying sauce.
The cripsy calamari was nothing like the menu photo. I though I would be getting a tempura style coating but it was a non-descript bread crumb coating. The calamari was moderately over deep-fried causing the texture to be rubbery. The sauce was very nice. The presentation in the metal basket was cute.
The Chicken Pad Thai was satisfactory, with a bit of a lean on the sour side. It was well presented.
The Drunken Noodle (Lamb Pad Ki Maw) was presented beautifully. The flavour, texture, colour and aroma was on point!
Overall we had a pleasant lunch. Pricing was a tad on the high side. Welcome to post-pandemic pricing increases for most restaurants.

Amazing food loved the Islamic noodle was bomb and the satay chicken was really good as well.

Taste great and price is reasonable. Overall was a great experience. However, it took too long waiting for main dish and really busy around dinner time. Worth to give a try, recommend to come around noon or try to come earlier for dinner.

Best Thai food in Toronto. Might sound like a understatement, try it yourself. Every time I go it’s, fire.
I wish I was paid for this haha

Pros:
- Generous portion of Thai Basil Fried Rice
- Service was quick and courteous.
- Thai Basil Fried Rice tasted good
- The place was small but cleanly maintained

Cons:
- Small portions of Lemongrass Tom Yum soup, Mango Thai Salad, Mango Sticky Rice, and Thai Green curry compared to their prices
- Mango salad was way too sour.
- Barely tasted the "lemongrass" on Lemongrass Tom Yum soup
- The sticky rice on Mango Sticky Rice was too hard and almost inedible
- Overall prices didn't match the expectation in terms of foods' quality and quantity
- No Wifi

Ordered some take out for our family's friday dinner a couple of weeks ago. A friend of mine highly recommended the food at the restaurant so decided to give it a try. We called around 6pm and were told should be ready by 7. When I got to the restaurant, it was super busy with dine in customers as well as take out and deliveries. My order was not only not ready but they kept saying another 5 to 10 min. Had to wait another 15min to finally get my take out and come home. And not even a single apology from the staff. I find it extremely unprofessional when restaurants overpromise and underdeliver.
With regard to food, I found pad thai and Tom Yum Goong way too sweet without much flavours. As someone who travelled to Thailand twice and spent four weeks in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket, I know I can judge good Thai food when I try one. Even though the presentation of the dishes were nicely done with beautiful garnishes, what matters the most at the end of the day is taste and flavour. Quite dissapointing!

Food and portions were great but the service wasn't the best. We didn't make reservations so we had to wait quite a bit but the worst part was that the hostess came to kick us out saying that there was another reservation at 9pm (an hour before closing). We were barely there for an hour and a half so didn't even make it to the time limit of 2 hours before being told that the table was needed for another customer. I really don't appreciate restaurants that rush customers out so I'm not sure I'll be returning here.

Been here a couple of times now and they’ve been able to keep up with their food quality and service. High chair seating is a bit uncomfortable but booths are good.

Favourite dishes include: Khao Soi, Pad Thai, Sweet Potato fritter.

Always make a reservation otherwise you’ll be waiting around for a while.

Great food with lots of options to choose from. Very generous portions. Fast service. You need to make sure you get there early because the space isn’t that big and it fills up fast even on a weekday night.

I have gone 3x. Food is great and consistent. The staff were wonderful each time. Definitely would return.

The food is quite good but I ordered a cocktail but there is 0 alcohol inside, the server is questioning me and thought I was trying to cheat for another drink. Nope, I paid for what I eat, I do not need to cheat for drinks. The cocktail that I ordered, confirmed there is not a single drip of alcohol in it

It's one of my favourite Thai restaurants in the area! There food is always great and it's a place to catch up with a couple of friends! However, I do not like their policy of dining time restriction as sometimes the staffs take a while to get your order and deliver on it!

The food here looks phenomenal, with a rich use of colours. The flavours are nicely balanced and well seasoned, you can taste each ingredient that was put in. Spicy dishes are not too spicy as well.

The wait here can be a bit for dine in, as we waited 30 minutes to be seated. There is also a seating time limit so be mindful in larger groups.

Would recommend trying if you’re in general area looking for Thai food

I was a bit disappointed when our 3 main dishes looked exactly the same in colour and garnish. We eat with our eyes as well; the Malay Curry with Beef was a bit spicy to my taste, my other friend liked it, the Cashew Nut Stir Fry with Shrimp was tasty, Panang Curry with Chicken, the chicken was over cooked. Our appetizers the Mango Salads was very tart, Chicken Satay that came with 4 skewers was nothing special. Service was good in a casual setting. They should improve the authenticity of their food that reflected the name of the restaurant.

The best place to eat Thai food.they have the best ambiance and the service was the best. I loved the food and most importantly I liked how patient the server was when we were deciding what to eat.thank you and I would come back again soon. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Second visit here because the first visit was somewhat satisfactory.

I must say, I’ve never ever had to walk out on a restaurant due to the degree of bad service.

They sat us down at the smallest table ever; we ordered 4 dishes and expect us to fit all that food on a mediocre table that was wobbling.

We asked the male waiter, pretty sure only one male wait staff working there, if we could get a bigger table. He said that he could combine one smaller table with ours to make a bigger table.

The guy disappears for 20 minutes and when I call him over, he has the audacity to tell me to give him a few moments. He then disappears and does not come back. Not to mention our food has not arrived yet and it has been well over 30 minutes now.

Hiring manager needs to do some quality control on the employees here because that is some poor service.

I do not recommend this place AT ALL.

Didn't think it'd be this packed on a Wednesday! Good lively atmosphere. Nice interior design, clean place, great service. Food is fantastic! Had crispy beef and royal pad thai, oh love them both! Beef is tasty at the right level of crispiness, and I personally find these glass noodles so wonderful as pad thai, even like them better than the normal rice noodles! You can always "customize" the level of spiciness as well. One note: parking in that plaza at normal lunch/dinner time is very busy.

Great food, Great service. Had the glass noodle dish with Thai Spice. Real spicy which bring the taste to the next level.

Decided to try this place as it looked busy every time I passed by.

I really liked the ambiance and the vibe and the bathroom was clean so points for that.

The menu was typical of most Thai restaurants and the prices were a tad pricey but comparable to other restaurants. Decided to try the Royal Pad Thai and while it was presented nicely, it was a bit disappointing. I usually can’t stop eating pad thai but I got bored of this after a while. My friend ordered the drunken noodles and they were way more bland than my dish.

This place wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t amazing either. I did appreciate the service and how quick they were to refill our water glasses, but I wouldn’t recommend this place for Thai food. That’s not to say I wouldn’t come back, it just won’t be my first choice.

Loved the Tom yum soup there. As well, the food presentation was very good! This place can get busy, so make sure to book a table in advance

Pretty good Thai food north of Toronto. Pad Thai was okay and dishes were plated nicely. Service was attentive. However alot of bar top seating, although cool to look at, isn't very comfortable. Also didn't like how to mention Asialicious directly when I got my bill to get the promo (which is not stated anywhere), just give the price to everyone - if you are running a promotion, don't be shady about it or you lose trust.

If you’re looking for an interesting local fusion Thai inspired sports bar, this is the place to be! Great food, music, and exotic cocktails - everything I would never expect in a small suburban plaza right around the corner of Kennedy and 14th.

Amazing food! We were a group of four and sampled each others plates. Everything was delicious! Small restaurant but plenty of tables. Was very busy but did not wait long. Definitely will make a reservation for my next visit.

It's a good start! The vibe is super great for the area! The service was good! However they ran out of draft beer, the cocktail was okay. The food was also okay! (3/5, aesthetics wise 5/5) and value for money 2/5, dinner for two is around $60. It definitely has potential, some of the dishes was a bit bland (especially the chicken skewers) so I hope they improve on that on my next visit.

Food is great (the flavour is there), portion is about right. I won't remove a star for this, but I really think those small tables for 2 (stool seats) are very uncomfortable and small (metal seats, no cushion, table is very small and table will wobble). But eh, I'm here for the food so, it's good lol

Service was amazing, food was delicious, only down side was the spice hot level is not equal across the different dishes. They also accommodate for Peanut allergies. Definitely recommend!

Good food, great value. We ordered for a takeaway. Thai curry, rice, and Khao suey. The food was good. Mildly spiced with a lil too much coconut milk, but it is one of those places you'd go to for some comfort food. Best choice on a super cold night.

Lovely place, staffs are so nice, dishes are delicious! I would recommend trying the Penang curry, it tastes heavenly! Plus I ordered a Lychee alcohol drinks (forget the name lol) and it pairs with the food very well! Would 100% come back again:) In fact, my friends and i will come again on the coming valentine's day!: D

Bold flavours and a very welcoming electric atmosphere make Chiang Rai Thai Kitchen a go to place if you’re craving for Thai food in Markham area. The dishes I had were full of flavour and pleasant heat, the spicy level was just right.

I would highly recommend this place and will be going back again to try some of the other dishes.

Best prices in town, and the food is incredible. Make sure you try the shrimp rools and the Tom Yum Pad Thai.

I really like the atmosphere of this restaurant, it’s really pretty inside! Don’t bother ordering the appetizers, they definitely don’t stand out here. The fresh shrimp roll appetizer was too chewy/hard and the satay chicken appetizer was a bit flavourless. Our main course though, the chicken pad Thai, was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend! Also the portion was very big so it’s shareable between 2 or more ppl, depending on how much you eat. I definitely had to take home a whole box full. The Thai iced tea is a a bit too sweet in my opinion, so if you are to get it, ask for less sugar. The regular mimosa didn’t have enough alcohol, but keep in mind it was only $5. Overall, I would come here again, but only order the mains.

Good quiet Thai restaurant. Good levels of spicy mild dishes. Alot of variety of traditional Thai dishes. My personal favourite is the famous pad Thai. Open environment with sports on for TV.

Who says you need to trek downtown for some of the best Thai food! Chiang Rai is a hidden gem conveniently located in Markham! We had the Calamari, Lobster Pad Thai and Beef Khao Soi all of which were absolutely delicious and to top it off the Thai iced tea was just amazing! If you haven't gone you're missing out!

Bad service and noisy environment; average food. Food came late and waitress still expect good tips. Wont go back and not recommend.

Nice spot - parking can be tough at times as it's a busy plaza. Food is always great including presentation. Vibe inside gives you an authentic feel. Drinks are done well also - overall recommend this place if you're craving Thai.

I had the pineapple chicken rice, delicious – and good portion! Staff was incredibly attentive and food was out fast, which I appreciated because I went on my lunch break. Will definitely go back to try more dishes!

One star because reservation has not been follow. Frustrated with the waitress and manager because they been ignoring our name and been taking other people. Not a good place to bring family and friends.

Second time we ordered take out from them and they screwed up on our order. Always double check when picking up. Also, portions are quite small.

Very impressed with this place! The service was excellent, the waitresses were very friendly and the most important part: the food was amazing! Everything tasted really good, the presentation was really nice, and I loved everything here! I was also very impressed with how accommodating they were after finding out my dad might not be comfortable with sitting in taller bar stools, and had more comfortable chairs to fallback on. Overall, highly recommended!

4.5* the place has a nice atmosphere. Made reservations but was 15 minutes late and they gave my seat up. I think the manager came by, he immediately know what to do and arranged for another table within a few minutes. Good service even from the waitress.
Food was aromatic and fresh. Especially the lobster pad thai. The crispy fish was very good too. Portions are good. The thai iced tea was good too. Though IMO too much ice.

Wonderful presentation, very creative indeed. So if one eats with their eyes first, then this Chef has it down right! Food is good too, not exceptional but it’s difficult to find bad Thai anyway.the place is creative in every aspect and staff. Friendly and helpful staff.

The food was awesome! The mango salad was absolutely delightful, the Royal Pad Thai was delicious and the green curry was silky and sweet. Absolutely recommend you drop by and try it for yourself.

The food was very tasty. The restaurant is relatively small. It’s a relatively busy place so we were relegated to a small table by the window with bar stools (not the most comfortable). The missing star is only because of the comfort. That night it was fairly cold, and the window didn’t seemed to be glazed and you could really feel it by the window.

My partner and I were excited to try this new restaurant. We waited happily, thirty minutes, for a table and finally were first in line. As a booth became available, a party of three (two adults like us, plus a toddler) walked in and were immediately given the booth.

I understand balancing table size and party size to a point. However, after waiting thirty minutes, to have our table given to essentially our same party with a toddler who likely wasn't eating much at all, this didn't seem fair.

The two adults with a toddler, who would be ordering the same amount of food/liquor (or less) than us were favoured. When we questioned it - and explained our intention to order appetizers, entrees and liquor - the only answer we were offered was "it's policy".

Staff suggested we sit at the tiny bar space or continue waiting another twenty minutes or more.

Had we been seated and enjoyed ourselves, we absolutely would have been repeat customers - but hard to imagine giving them another chance.

We had a great time here, loved to the ambiance and the food.

We got the Shrimp Rolls, Penang Curry, coconut ice cream and mango sticky rice. They were all great choices. We really loved the desserts!

Great place, good food, nice decor, cozy feel, friendly and responsive staff. Lunch Special Khao Soi doesn't come with crispy noodle, waitress said the crispy noodle is only available during dinner.

The ambiance is very pretty & instagramable. The service was great! Kat did a great job at welcoming us and proactively offering to make suggestions which gave us an idea of the popular dishes. We tried to Lemongrass soup, Pineapple Fried Rice and the Red Curry dish. The food was great, we got it Thai spicy which was really spicy but great for those who love spice. The presentation was beautiful as the Pineapple Fried Rice came in an actual Pineapple! Great use of the excess pineapple! Also, the best part is that the food came out fairly quickly upon ordering. I had a great experience and would recommend this place to anyone who would like to try Thai food!

Please note: We went for an early dinner on a Thursday so the place was not as busy but it did start to get busy around 7pm. There were alot of reservations so I would recommend calling ahead of time if you don't want to wait.

One of my favourite Thai appetizers, Coconut Soup - I like it cause it gives me an appetite I always order this regardless of where I go! Even though the portions is a little small, but the flavour makes up for it.

Food presentation is clean and well thought out. Atmosphere is relaxed although can be busy during weekends (make a reservation). They have Singha beer on tap and tamarind-base for those looking for a less-sweet style Pad Thai.

I was curious to see if Chiang Rai can be my new go to spot for uptown Thai food aside from Jatujak and after a recent visit here i'm not sure it can be. My favourite dish at Jatujak is the pad kee mao with basil so of course i had to try Chiang Rai's to see how it compares. The one at Jatujak vomits basil and i loveeee it. Unfortunately Chiang Rai's is not even remotely as good. The pad kee mao here did not have ANYYY apparent basil flavour whatsoever even though there is basil in the description. It even had a hinnnt of that bamboo shoot stink which i hate:/ I'm not sure if they did use bamboo shoot in this dish but something in the dish made it taste like it. The famous pad thai looked tempting but we ended up with the royal pad thai instead. The glass noodles is what sold us on the royal pad thai as it doesn't use the traditional rice noodles. It came nicely wrapped in a paper thin egg crepe. The tangy, sweet and savoury flavours were good.

My family and I heard great feed back about Chiang Rai so immediately want to go and try I out for dinner. Upon getting there we were kindly greeted and seated right away. We ordered but it took a while for the food to come. The place was packed to after a while it was hard to get the waitresses attention. When we informed them that they had gotten two orders mixed up they had to go confirm with whomever it was in the kitchen and just gave me hot sauce to put on my food? Like really? Anyhow all the food looked great and presentable but wasn't impressed over all. Wouldn't be coming back and just a heads up, Reservation are a must since there are limited seatings available

I enjoyed the food I ordered. And I love how they designed the place and how it makes you feel cozy and comfortable. Nice ambience and also the foods are just try.

Bought take out today, the food was awful. The crispy chicken doesn't even look or taste like chicken. It said chicken thighs so I thought it was large pieces of chicken fried til crispy. Instead I received small pieces of breading that tasted awful. The same with the beef. Their mango chicken is awful as well, the same awful crispy chicken. The pad thai is not good either.

First off. The service here was amazing. KAT, was very knowledgeable and did a really good job.
Food wise. I really love my pineapple fried rice. Here it came in an actual pineapple. Glad to see they didnt waste the shell of the pineapple instead used it as decor.
Would definitely recommend this spot.
