Falafel was ok there was almost no toppings inside and the price is insane!
$11.5 plus tax for a wrap with 4 falafel balls inside is crazy!
The cost of all ingredients + doesn’t come out to $2.5 so NO! Never again

Small little place with Amazing cuisine! We order for our christmas diner with my family. So happy We did it was Sooo delicious, the lentil soup, the salads, the hummus and the falafel So good ️️️️️

I recently had the pleasure of ordering from this falafel restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. The food arrived piping hot, and it was clear that it had been freshly cooked with great care. Not only did it arrive on time, but it even exceeded my expectations. The quality and quantity of the food were impressive, leaving me pleasantly surprised. I can’t recommend this place enough, and I look forward to ordering from them again!

Really flavorful food and affordable too. We loved everything we ordered, especially the kids meal and the zatar wedges were so crispy! Those definitely were better than any other wedges I have ever had.

A must try! The food was amazing, the best falafel ever! We will definitely be coming back.

Rami and his family, the owners, are absolutely wonderful people. Knd, passionate, and generous. Had the hummus (best I've ever had, seriously) and the olive salad (tangy and fresh). Both were delicious.

Rami was also kind of enough to gift me 2 fresh falafels to try, and they were absolutely on point. Highly recommend this place, will definitely be coming again!

Chickpeas Ottawa is one of the best vegan/vegetarian food place. Everything is freshly made and it reflects in their taste. The owner, Rami is so welcoming. We tried many different things and we loved everything, from falafel, fattoush, hummus, potato wedges, pita, tahini sauce everything was super delicious. 5 star place.

So glad I made the detour and checked this place out. Customer service top notch - and is one of the few restaurants in Ottawa with a clear and immediate knowledge of their (fresh!) ingredients (I have odd allergies). Soup and sandwich both fresh, excellent, tasty, perfect size, and well balanced. I have found myself a new favourite stop when in the area. And maybe an excuse to be in the area too: D

Figured I'd finally give this spot a try after my workout. I was greeted by Rami and he provided exceptional service the whole time I was there. He walked me through the flavors, what they offer and even allowed some testing of the hummus so I can order exactly what I'd like. The food was high quality, extremely tasty and not to overwhelming. A+ service & food. Highly recomend. Glad I came by.

We bought the 12 falafel with a salad and a hummus. The cost was under $25. The falafel was super delicious and there was enough food for 3 people. Go here to eat. Period.

The food is amazing! Never had a better falafel in my life! And the lentil soup is a must! Try the patato wedges and hot sauce, they are amazing! The service is amazing and the Owner understand how deliver quality service and quality food.

The dirtiest location! Everywhere you glance looks disgusting. It was the last time I was going there - even for a take out. I never could stand the idea of sitting somewhere there every time I'm waiting for my sandwich. It makes you question the quality of the food and the cooks hands. Service: barely caring about clients.

I came here by accident. I Googled "best shawarma in Ottawa" and this was the highest rated of 3 immediate options.

There is no shawarma here. Quite the opposite as this is actually an entirely vegan restaurant. However, what I did find was the best vegan food I've had in a long time.

I had their lentil soup, which reminded me of my mom's lentil soup growing up. I also had their falafel sandwich (not pictured) and can honestly say I haven't had falafel this good in a restaurant before. Again, traditional recipe most likely, nothing like the dry falafel you can get at almost every shawarma place. Much more likely to find this quality in someone's home.

Also had a Turkish coffee and was pleasantly surprised that they make it with cardamom, another detail that reminded me of home cooked food.

At the end I wanted to go into the kitchen to see if my mom actually works here! Felt like having a home cooked meal, could recommend this place more.

Can't believe it took me seven years to check out this gem! Everything was tasty, and I was delighted by the healthy choices, like the quinoa in tabouleh, and whole wheat pita offered with falafel. By the way those falafel are perfect. Unlike any I've tasted, including in Israel. The fries were also a revelation, with a Mediterranean twist in the spicing. And the food isn't oily and junky. Also love the ownership and staff. Warm engaging people who make you feel at home. And good space to spread out and eat. Pretty much my go-to joint now.

Chickpeas make the best falafels ever! Everything is made on the premises - they are so fresh and they taste amazing.
Every time I visit Ottawa I pay Chickpeas at least one visit!

Me and my husband tried a mango hummus and jalapeño sandwich. It was a great experience and test is so good.

If you haven’t tried this place yet, you must! These are the real deal. Reminds me of Amman. Best hummus and falafel in the region. Big thanks to the friendly staff and excellent service you’ll be seeing me often.
