Chiefswood Park

We really liked this place. The cabins are beautiful and spacious and were very clean. The staff was so incredibly friendly. We went off season so not everything was available but we went for a relaxing time and that's what we got. There is room for improvement tho. Despite booking with 4 adults and 2 kids there was only 1 adult on the reservation & was never corrected so this may be why there was only towel service for 4 and 3 coffee mugs of varying size. Glasses, large plates, bowl, and silverware were ok. We were lacking a frying pan but the office gave us one and we had a coffee maker but no pot so the office allowed us free coffee from the shop so some bumps but they tried their best to make up for it. Do bring a large knives, spatula, tongs, and other cooking utensils because we only had small chopstick like tongs and ladles. BBQ cooking utensils cost extra so bring those if you plan to cook over the fire as well as roasting sticks. We are used to all inclusive things so the additional fees to do everything was so so but we felt the rates were very reasonable and this could be because they do have day use facilities and it is a smaller campground. We will definitely go again

Staff needs more training on customer service.very bad experience with one older gentleman that constantly bothered us.over all friendly and very clean

Riverside Glamping Cabins are the spot if you’re looking for seclusion and simplicity. We loved our stay here we’ve booked 2 more times for this month. Quiet, serene. Boat docks and bathrooms are close. Beautiful grounds.

To be honest, I'm not quite actually sure how their room service a location are in terms of stars
I do know that I spent personal time and volunteered to help them with their events and was not in granted a free night stay to enjoy the cabin myself so I cannot claim anything more than one star

Best kept camping secret in Southern Ontario. The staff was wonderful, the location quiet and immaculately kept.

My first visit to Cheifswood Park for a vendor market. Very clean, nice park, splashpad. Washrooms were clean and well maintained. Cabins looks adorable and definitely worth checking out in the future. Bonus the food truck was fantastic.

We took a “small luxury cabin” (cabin 6 white pine). The place was quite cozy, when we first walked in we were greeted with the amazing smell of the logs. Place is small and simple with everything you need, a huge bathroom with toilet sink and a walk-in shower, a small kitchen with 2 gas burners, a microwave, fridge sink and utensils. There was a very cool art piece in a glass case on the wall but it was poorly placed and smacked my head on the corner a few times going under the ladder… should be placed higher up and centred to the wall it is on…. We also went to make a coffee but in the coffee maker was someone’s left over mouldy coffee filter… Gross… we also had an issue trying to checkout as we were offered a cash “damage deposit” and the person working the morning of Jan. 29 has a really poor attitude and gave us a hard time getting our deposit back which ultimately made us feel like not coming back. The check-in crew on Jan. 27 was amazing tho! However had a hard time bringing everything to the cabin as they make you walk it from the parking lot and offered no help for baggage so do not pack heavy or bring a wagon. Overall the place is great looks great snow covered and at night it’s lit up only a few minor issues that needed working out. 4/5 would recommend experiencing their cabins

My son and his family came down from Sudbury to Visit us and they rented the small luxury cabin and they enjoyed their stay. Cozy and very well kept place.

I attended their Christmas bazaar which was very well organized.
Each cabin held one or two vendors, so not only escape from a dreary day. I got a peak inside the cabins as I was doing the circuit and not only where they meticulously clean, but inviting.

We were there for a Christmas craft event. They used their glamping and vacation cabins for each vendor. The show was great but it was great to be able to see into the facilities! They range from basic glamping cabins to beautiful fully furnished loft 2 BR units. Check them out for a summer vacation.

Well run and professionally managed. A great place to stay as a vacation spot or to get away and rest.

Peaceful, relaxing, cabins are incredible, and staff always take the time to answer questions about the entire area. The historical stories and Carolinian forest are spectacular!

Lovely unserviced camp sites at a good price. Along the river, lots of room. Nearby portapotties and an ok walk up the hill to the showers and bathrooms. I'm sure I'll be back!

We came as a trial run, loved the cabin, customer service and the park itself. Very friendly staff, clean cabins beautiful set up. We have done a lot of camp grounds, valens, pine valley, Algonquin park, jellystone park, Sheraton shores and this one tops all of those.

Clean, bright, friendly and their day camp just started! It was well organized for a first day and fingers crossed my daughter will have a great day.

Absolutely loved our stay here. It was super cozy and warm. They were clean and tidy. The beds were very comfortable. The surroundings and the atmosphere really helps to unwind and rejuvenate. Our kids loved the loft. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, cutleries and a small fridge. The gas stove was my favourite to cook on.

I just wish they had given us some tea and coffee and snacks. But, we were aware as they informed us ahead of time of this being unavailable due to the pandemic. So you need to take your own food and snacks, coffee etc. That's not a big deal at all.

Amazing staff cannot wait to come back May-Sep to appreciate the museum tours and the cottages are a great getaway that i will be indulging in soon. Side note - super clean amenities and property.

Beautiful park, a peaceful retreat. I camped up the hill, there was hydro and running water. If you go down by the river be careful where you drive.if you turn left at the Pavilion the ground is very wet due to an underground rivine, I got my car stuck and had to leave it overnight and get towed out in the morning. I'd like to thank Micheal from Nighthawk security for helping me out when my car was stuck.

Always love any experience I have at chiefswood park (yoga, meditation, kayak etc) and look forward to staying in a cabin in the future. All staff are welcoming and very helpful. The land and the creatures on it never fail to amaze me. Wonderful and peaceful place to come by yourself or with a family/group. Highly recommended:)!

Great place to spend the weekend. Highly recommend the cabins. Nice and clean, lots of lush green grass.waterfront was pretty.

There are the new cabins and the new supplies absolutely wonderful. The staff are nice and helpful. I recommend there for your vacations.

Amazing cozy place. Beautiful Cabin, everything clean and safety especially in Covid time. We have a relaxing weekend and we absolutely recommend 100% to any one who really looking for enjoyment!

Nice natural area by the Grand River with canoe and cabin rentals and a camping area. Friendly, helpful staff and lots of open space. Clean washroom facilities.

This place blew our minds!
Not only are the new cabins absolutely gorgeous, the park is simply stunning, the river by kayak is breathtaking, the staff are amazing and the vibe just so welcoming.
We are so glad we stayed here and we will definitely go back over and over again!
