Super fun activity to do with friends or partner. You just send in the design you want a couple days before and they have it ready for you when you come in. They explain how to tuft very well and check in on you and give tips. Fun experience!

Me and my mom went to Chillax Studio as a Mother’s Day gift from me to her, and we could not have had a better time! The studio is gorgeous and spacious and Chris and Chloe are so unbelievably kind and accommodating. They walked us through every step of the process and were always there to help if we needed it. They were so encouraging and took tons of pictures of our finished rugs for us. I would recommend Chillax Studio for anyone and everyone. Truly the best experience, I can’t wait to come back!

We came for our first ever rug tufting experience and went with the 60x60 option. The staff were super nice and very helpful through the whole process from start to finish. We had an absolute blast and definitely recommend!

Pay attention to when you're told about density. I over-tufted and it was difficult to trim/apply backing, and I've had to stick it under my mattress to see if it'll stop curling, lol.

Literally the best experience here. We booked a 3 hour (small rug) class for 5: 30 pm and ended up leaving around midnight. You can definitely complete it within 3 hours but Chris and Khloe were so fun, welcoming and easy to talk to that we lost track of time but they never complained once or rushed us. They are so nice and patient. Similar to another review below, we didn’t have time to eat dinner prior to coming and they offered us some of their pizza, which my partner couldn’t decline: P Tufting is such a unique and rewarding activity to do and we had the best time. We have already rebooked another class with a few of our friends because we can’t stop raving about it.

My friends and I flew in for a short 48 hour weekend getaway and this was the highlight of our trip! I heard of purchasing tufted rugs before but I never knew such a hands-on class existed. We opted for the small sized rug (3 hour session). We pre-picked our designs and Chris/Khloe helped sketch our design before our session so we could save time. They were super attentive, encouraging, and helpful throughout the whole activity. This would make such a fun girls or date night. Keep in mind, you might need to get ready for a mild arm workout. Also make sure you have extra free time after your class in case you end up going over your allocated time! 10/10 would recommend and can’t wait to hang up my rug!

I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday and it was the best experience. We never tried this before and they were really helpful in showing us how to tuft and we’re also so encouraging throughout the process. Our rug took around 5 hours to complete (we chose a medium size). I imagine they worked a long day and were super gracious staying open until we finished. They helped make sure our rug was perfect (as good as we could make it lol) and even helped us shave it down as we were not great at it. The studio was beautiful and even had a little dog running around. We would happily do this again and I’d recommend this studio to anyone interested!

My friends and I had such a great time at Chillax Tufting Studio. Chris and Khloe were so kind and always on hand to help if we had questions.

We booked a 3hr session to make small rugs but ended up taking a lot longer, and we were initially worried what would happen if we didn't finish, but we were not rushed at all and given plenty of time to finish our projects.

Chris and Khloe also helped take plenty of photos and videos of us and our work through out the process which was sooo nice and thoughtful!

We had such a great time at Chillax Tufting Studio. First off it was a very convenient location to get to (near Bathurst and Queen). It was our first time tufting and the owners took the time to explain how to use the tufting gun and let us practice before we got started on our own piece. They were also there with us the whole time to answer any questions we had. We had a great time and hope to be back. Thank you for such a fun day!

This was the most fun date we've had in Toronto! The place is such a cute and welcoming atmosphere and the owners helped out every step of the way and offered advice and tips. You get to create your rug from start to finish and take it home straight away. I will definitely be coming back again! Thank you so much

If you're looking for a detailed review about the full experience, this is it!

First off, I just want to start by saying I don't think anything about the experience could have been better - this place is truly deserving of 5 stars. Also, this is the only studio I know of that's located downtown - most are out of the core and located in North York. So if you live downtown, this is a super convenient location.

It's run by a lovely, very friendly couple - Chris and Khloe, who have an adorable dog. They put a lot of effort into decorating the space and creating a welcoming environment. My friend and I booked the "small" which was 60×60cm and is a 3hr booking, however you will absolutely not be rushed out; we were able to stay to finish our pieces because they took longer than expected.

After booking, they reached out via email to ask if we had a pattern already picked, because they could prepare the outline for us so it would be ready when we got there!

When we arrived, they taught us how to use the tufting gun and let us practice on a cloth before moving to our actual pieces (which they so kindly already had our patterns stenciled onto). We were the only ones there but there were many additional tufting stations.

They were available the whole time to answer any questions we had, and bonus, Khloe offered to take pictures and videos of the process (she truly is a photography queen!). When we finished, Chris glued the backing on our pieces while my friend and I snuck away with Khloe to take pictures around the space (you have to get a picture with the angel wings!). To top it off, I had to leave before I was able to shave my piece and they actually finished my piece for me and let me pick it up after my appointment.

If this hasn't convinced you to pay them a visit - near the beginning of our session, my friend mentioned she was hungry and didn't get a chance to eat, and since Chris was heading out to get food, he offered to also get us food! We didn't take him up on the offer but to me, this shows that both Chris and Khloe truly care about their customers and are willing to go above and beyond to make the experience exceptional. So please, if you were ever on the fence, give them a visit and support them!

The studio is a bit tucked away just off Tecumseh street - you'll need to turn into an alleyway where you'll then see a bunch of smaller offices/studio spaces. They are number 18 and shouldn't be too hard to find once you see the numbers outside.
