So we’re skimping on food now along with insane prices (everywhere) ?

Crab meat cheese wontons were all wonton and barely any filling. You’ve done better, China Star. Please do better again. If I’m paying more because of inflation, understood; we’re all feeling it. But don’t double down on that by raising prices AND providing less.

We moved to milton and this is the first time we tried this. The food was really very good. Tasty and prepared as expected

Crab cheese wontons are a family favorite! The flavor of the Mongolian chicken is great as well, this is our go to spot for a quick takeout dinner, food is always ready in 5-10 mins.

I had a TERRIBLE bout of food poisoning from here. It lasted over 24 hours. We got the kung Pao chicken, garlic shrimp and sesame chicken. We had leftovers but had to throw it out. I wouldn't want anyone to experience what I experienced! Really disappointed too cause this is the only Chinese takeout close to our place.

Hands down my favourite Chinese food restaurant in town and I’ve tried them all.

The food is consistently amazing, the staff is great. I honestly come here atleast once or twice a week maybe more. Chicken wings fire, chicken broccoli fire, any noodles fire, Chicken balls … forget about it they’re too good. China star is where it’s at, been a regular here for over 6 years and never a bad experience.

Some of the best chinese food I have had! But they now give duck sauce instead of plum sauce for the spring rolls and the duck sauce is gross. Hope they bring back the plum sauce.

Our every Sunday lunch choice by unanimous family vote. Lunch Special has good quality at reasonable price, always fast and yummy. Take Out only

General Tso and Beef mixed vegetables lunch specials is the go to. Have to make sure you get soya/plum sauce, little razzledazzle lol

Friendly service! Food was excellent, not loaded with salt. Chicken balls were actually chicken not all dough like most places. Best I've had in Milton. We will be coming back.

Great place for good Chinese Food! My favourites Singapur Noodles and chicken Chup Suy! Great service!

Decent Chinese food, a step up from some of the others Milton. Szechuan beef was fiery and tender. Singapore noodles are a nice venture from standard rice side dishes.

Here as I am moving far but this is the best Chinese food i have tasted. I have ordered multiple different dishes but my favourite is the schezuan chicken and the wontons give it a try! It’s always fresh.

We order China Star regularly.
We love it.
Even when we have out of town guests they comment how good it is.
We love the Cantonese Noodles, sesame tofu, spring rolls, vegetable friend rice, and the thick noodles (can’t remember the name)

Just received dinner delivered, i order from local restaurants regularly but today was surprised with the portion of food for what i paid. 6 pieces of salted shrimp for $9, mixed chicken/shrimp (4 tiny ones) for $15 was definitely overpriced for barely any shrimp that I was charged for. (Can't seem to upload pic here), I'll try separately.

Food was edible. Nothing special. The packaging was flimsy and when my boyfriend was taking the fried rice out of the bag the styrofoam cracked and we almost lost it. We ordered crab wontons, wonton soup, beef fried rice, chow mein noodles and chicken balls it was $72 with delivery. Over priced imo.

I've been to many, many, many Chinese food places. I've had it from across the GTA and I've had all styles/regional recipes. I have to say, without holding back, that this place is awesome.
It is consistent, reliable, variety is excellent, special orders are not a problem (no onions, +/- spicy, different sauce, etc).
Best of all, if we get it and have guests, they say it is the best they've ever had - EVERYTIME!
Hey, listen, you may have a more discerning pallet or specific flavors you are used to, so it may not be your favorite. However, China Star has never disappointed me, or my guests or anyone that I served it to that has never had it before.

Really enjoyed the chicken w/mixed vegetables over thin noodles. Might be the best Chinese I’ve had in Milton so far. Great value for the price too! Would go back again no question

Ordered 10 egg rolls and they suck more like spring rolls which I hate never seen an egg roll with no bean sprouts

I had the chicken and black bean lunch special. It was really tasty, hot, and the chicken was the most tender I've had in a stir fry like this. Lots of vegetables which is what I like. Ordered it spicy and they got it right. A friend who goes there recommended it, and he was spot on.

Terrible quality in meat and overall food. Price is quite high for chinese food. They dont provide rice with any dishes.unless you spend another 5 bucks. Wouldn't order from here again unless you want you and your kids to spend some quality time in the washroom.

Was my first time ordering and was very disappointed. The food taste very bland, the pepper steak was 80% onion and the crab/cheese dumplings were mostly crispy batter.

Ordered the dumpling and curry chicken. Big mistake. First of all, the dumplings were undercooked. That's a good start, right? I thought the expensive price tag would be offset with the quality but man was I wrong. Next was the curry chicken. Now it might as well have been called Curry Onion and Mushrooms since there's barely any chicken in it and the container was filled to the brim with onions. The chicken portion is so cheap. I honestly couldn't believe how small it was. I'd say it was about 40 grams of chicken total. The entire entree was small to begin with but they even cheat you on the chicken. This was 13.99 by the way not including the rice which was another 4 dollars. With that, I might as well have gone to a shawarma place and gotten twice or thrice the amount of chicken for that price or better yet, have gone to our local Asian Grocer and bought one of their ready to go meals for a fraction of that price. Total rip off and poor attention to quality.

I haven’t ordered much food since everything has happened. But I took a chance and ordered from here. The delivery guy did not follow instructions and wasn’t very nice and when I sit down to eat my food I see a black hair in my fried wonton. No one in my house has black hair and it’s cooked into the food. When I called back they were not nice about it and didn’t seem to care. Not sure I’ll be going back again.

No regard for hygiene. Firstly, I saw the old man walk out of the restaurant next door to the Italian place, came back and started making my food! Didn’t even bother to wash hands or wear gloves; he started picking veges for the soup with bear hands. Secondly, he had this old white but almost turned black cloth in his hand which he used to scrub the wok and directly poured the broth in for soup without washing the pot. Gross! I saw him using the same cloth to handle other hot Pots and wiping his hands and the counter in front of him.almost had a gag reflex. I told them to stop cooking and I left within 30 seconds of ordering. Never again

Ordered a take away for five. Worst chinese food I have eaten. Food was tasteless and some of the chicken tasted bad. Had to throw half of the food away. Will certainly never go back.

I like the taste of this place but everytime I feel stomachache after. So, I am giving only 3 stars as ut could be just me.

This place is actually a decent considering the options available in Milton. Portions are generous as they stuff the containers full! I definitely have had better Chinese food in Sauga/Toronto, but for quick takeout food, I find China Star to be impressive. Good flavours and spice levels. Though, I would say their pad Thai isn't as good as other ones you can find in Milton. Overall good experience ordering from here and will likely do so in the future.

Great food! Amazing portioning for the price! Friendly staff, can get busy at times but China Star knows their food. It seems like it’s family run, so be understanding if their kid is learning cash or doesn’t know everything about the food. They just want to make sure to get your order right, and cooked well! Love this place, better than Gold City on main. China Star is #1 in my books!:)

We got the wrong order and they wanted us to pay for the correct order so i took it back and count my loss

Small place fast service and clean. Prices are pretty standard for Chinese a la cart. Food is usually done between 10 and 15 minutes no matter how large the order. But most of all, it's a clean. I recommend the egg foo yong.
