The best cherry pie you may find in Toronto. Im not really into pie but their pies are next level. I think it is a family business and that is why whatever they make is fresh, delicious, and yummy!

I still like their pastries, but I don't appreciate that their prices went up by 40-50% percent for most pastries within just 2 years. Yes, I keep my old receipts, compared and was shocked, for example their eclairs were$ 4 a piece in 2021 and now in 2023 they are $ 6 a piece, which it 45% increase. I am sure that they didn't increase their workers salary for the same amount.

The most beautiful and delicious works of culinary art in your cafe. This can happen when you bake and decorate with Love. When heavenly recipes are known. And your smiles lift our spirits for a long time. Thank you very much, good luck and see you soon)

I have tried all their cakes. Allow me to tell you there is no bad choice. My Favour is the mocha and the orange chocolate. The price is perfect

Always got the berry hazel nut cake for the last 5 years for special occasions. Tried many bakeries but always came back for this.

I bought the pistachio swiss roll and almond tart. I like the cream of the pistachio roll; very light and smooth. Not to sweet. The crust of the almond tart is good, but the fruit is a bit sour.

I ordered a Birthday cake for kid’s party and it was AMAZING.
The taste and especially the nice design, with the picture I asked to put on the cake, turned really nice and all the kids loved it.
That was the first time when I didn’t have any cake leftovers after the party:)

The apple cake we ordered is magnificent, however I ordered it to be ready for 11: 30, my husband was picking it up for me and got to the bakery early, 10: 45. The lady serving him was so rude, telling him he should come on time, not early, however the cake was ready, so her rudeness was so unnecessary. He asked to speak to the manager, but she was not there. Not only should the cakes be good, so should the service!

For my friend's 60th birthday, comes with the cake, store gave 60 candles for free! Cake is excellent!

I introduced their cakes at work. People so loved it so they order cakes and come from Georgetown, Mississauga and Markham!

Cozy atmosphere and real yummy Russian pastries. A few small tables inside allows you to enjoy the coffee and beautiful Russian accent of ladies who work there.

Compared to other places I usually buy cake, they offer a better price. I also like the quality. At my previous workplace we usually bought cake here for our coworker’s B-day and it was always good.

We got married last June 24th this year and we ordered our wedding cake and desserts from Chocolada. It was GORGEOUS! Inside and out ️
It taste good and look amazing.
Us and our guests loves it!

Will order again in future events?

Such a waste of money to spend, we got a cake for my mom’s BD today and we were so unhappy with seeing our guests’ disappointed faces, We’re not Chocolada’s new customer as you can see my wife’s BD cake picture from 6 years ago hang on their store front window so that’s the proof that their quality is down-sided a lot and pricy.

Delicious eclairs, fruit custard tart and chicken puff pastry! Fantastic quality and you can tell everything is made with love - will definitely be returning!

Tasty desserts with fair prices. Unfortunately the napoleon I got was a bit stale but all the desserts tasted good and wasn’t to sweet. Will come again!

I am so grateful to the Chocolada staff who willing made my daughter's Sweet 16 birthday cake with 1 day notice. After dealing weeks of Covid infections in my household, Chocolada was the only bakery willing to make a bad time better. They provided a few options to pick from and reassured me that everything would be fantastic. Thank you for your compassion, flexibility, and of course a delicious chocolate cake️

Great cakes, really unfortunate service.you can call days in advance and order cakes and customization (writing, cutting, size) but upon arrival they’ll give you grief.if you are a pushover or don’t do well with rude service I wouldn’t suggest it, even if it’s tasty!

Everything here is super delicious.
But why staff are so mad and angry and not welcome? Not a thank you, not a have a good day not even a smile……

The amazing customer service that other reviewers are mentioning is applying to their own nationality.
They’re extremely unfriendly if you’re not their own and even though they have tables and chairs, they were very unhappy that I decided to sit and eat.

I just bought a box if roulette from this place! Very poor costumer service
The woman who was selling the pasteries were quite rude! Condescending and showing lots of attitude!

Chocolada is our go to cakes place. Their attention to detail is outstanding. We really enjoyed the Berry Hazelnut. Be sure to call ahead incase they are out of what you're looking for. I've also tried a few other tarts and such and they too are very fine. Thank-you for making such amazing cakes!

I typically go here. Long wait times; they have two lines but only attend one. Waited 20 minutes for a simple milkshake. The staff kept serving others before me. A small milkshake is 7$ and a small pastry is 4$. The food quality is great but too expensive.

Always clean and friendly. Great selection and excellent customer service! Their products are not as overly sweet which should actually be a good thing unlike what some people complain about!

Yesterday I was very disappointed, when bought absolutely stale eclairs for the party. Hard as stone! I loved this cafe very much, but there is no more trust

Went to this bakery for the first time yesterday, the Kiev cake (meringue, almonds, and chocolate buttercream) was fresh and was one of the best cakes I have ever had! Absolutely delicious. The fruit pastries we got were equally delicious. What was also wonderful was the lady who served me. Very kind and attentive, that goes a very long way with customers. When I am in the area again, I will definitely be back. Highly recommend this bakery.

One of the best bakeries in Toronto! My favourite pastries are Napoleon, ryzjiki, smetannik, and vanilla & chocolate eclares.

Amazing pastries, fresh and delicious! Amazing staff, professional and friendly! Great prices. Also, they are very accommodating if you have special request. All of our friends who have had a taste of their cakes have become instant fans!

Great variety of baked goods - the fruit tarts are some of the best I’ve ever had. Cakes are large and decadent, and most importantly they’re priced right!

I bought some napoleons today their customer service is really awful the woman behaved so rude.

These people have some great pastries and my favorite - the vanilla custard cream éclairs. They have a decent espresso machine and their cappuccinos are nice, the only things missing, as far as I'm concerned, are a liquor license - I like to add a splash of something or other to my coffee, and room - they need a bigger space with some tables. If this place could only be the size of a Starbucks!

I got apple pie and cherry pie. I dont know why you call it pie. It's cake. Pastry is Pie and Cake is cake. I'm a bit disappointed.

Update: I went back and exchanged the pie for sour cherry appricot fragipane tart and I was really happy. My family thought it was great. Thank you for being understanding. I will definitely come back.

I have loved this place since I landed in Canada in 1995. They have amazing pastries cakes and other baked goods. My favourite is the Napoleon that they make which is out of this world I normally get this for my birthday

I remember the last time I went there was a year ago, and when the baker asked who's name is on the cake? I said it was me it's my Birthday today and she just cracked a huge smile and started singing happy birthday to me that was absolutely adorable.

This year my mom made my birthday cake but 2022 I'm so going back for my favourite the Napoleon

Service is good and price not cheap. Napoleon cake is Russian style with custard between pastry. It contrasts with HK style which is cream and meringue filled with walnut chips. Worth try out and others.

Great dessert place close to Yonge and Steeles! I love how their desserts are not super sweet. Great cake and pastry collection, and good customer service.

Excellent! The cake was moist and not too sweet! (I got the orange chocolate cake)

July 24th Update: Almost a year later, the Chocolate Orange Cake is still phenomenal! Layers are moist and not dry. Within the cake are orange peel shavings enhancing the flavour of the cake, making its name hold true. The mousse is very delicious, and tastes VERY fresh. I definetly suggest the 10" size as you WILL enjoy the leftover cake in the days following your special event!
