Choice Of The Orient Chinese Restaurant

The food was delicious, the service was outstanding and the prices were affordable. Both thumbs up to the servers. I took my one year old son and one of the servers kept bringing him treats. Again, great atmosphere and fantastic food. We will definitely be going again.

Very rude. Called to get a quote for a party tray of fried chicken wings. For 60 wings it was for $84.50, so I said no thank you because I wanted to ask another place. The man on the phone just hung up. More reasons for me not eat here or do takeout.

Went here for some takeout food and the food was very good. The service is also good here.

Food is okay but they always make "mistakes" on the bill that always benefits them. Everytime I add up the bill I see that the actual amount is less than what they decide to put down. Its always mistakes of $3-$10 at a time. These "mistakes" are starting to add up. And I am not just saying it happens all the time when it happens every so often. It literally happens every single time I order from them. I got the receipts to prove it. Plus, every time they give me change back it's usually short as well. Again, I'm being shorted around another $5. I'm afraid to say something because I pay before they make me the food and don't want them to mess with my food. And every time I go in, prices have gone up. So they have found 3 creative ways in every order to cheat people of money. Not good.

The interior definitely looks nicer than what you see on the outside. Everything we ordered was a little bit too salty, but was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the dishes. Our waiter was considerate with any allergy concerns we had and recommended dishes. This was on the pricier side for Chinese food, but is the best we've had so far in the area.

They were very rude, rushed us out. They were very snippy with us. When we left they told they don’t do separate bills. They made us feel very uncomfortable being there. Will not be returning there, very disappointed.

Looks can be deceiving, but when you get inside you find a elegant, formal restaurant with some of the best Chinese food in "north america" don't pass this up if your looking for kung pow shrimp or orange chicken.

Excellent food, swift and gracious service, and a well-cultivated atmosphere. The wonton soup was particularly delicious.

Nice place inside to eat. Food is good and fresh. The service is great. The only thing i would say is wish they would give more food for the price you pay. The meat ratio vs rice and noodles aren't even either. Other then that i recommend this restaurant to eat at.

Wow. After just moving to the area I found my spot for amazing Chinese food! Everything we had was super fresh, tasted amazing and very, very high quality ingredients in everything. They don't cut corners here. The Yang Chow fried rice is fantastic, the Cantonese Chow Mein is the best I've ever had anywhere and all the meats have the proper taste and texture like real meat. Egg rolls are amazing too. I don't see how you can be dissatisfied with food from this place and I'm anxious to go back and try some other dishes. They've been around since 1988, you don't last 35 years in the restaurant industry if you're not doing something right. Go. You won't be disappointed. The dining area is very classy and nice looking, the service is great and take out is ready fast as well. Best in York Region for sure! 5 out of 5 stars.

I don't know what they use to cook the food, it tastes like baking soda, too much of it in the peppered ribs and peppered shrimp. Awful

This is not your typically greasy Chinese food resteraunt. I've seen some reviews here that claim the food is flavorless and I would disagree as the food is cooked and seasoned in a different style versus a "fast food" Chinese food. The food is a tad too expensive or I would of gave it 5 stars.

For dine in this restaurant is excellent, it was certainly a surprise to see the dining area was clean and classy. I always pass by this place and thought it was a Chinese takeout place. The dinner for two is more than enough food to feed 3. Service is also friendly and they give free wonton chips as appetizer. Highly recommend dining in! It is a great restaurant for families or a date night

Ordered family dinner for 3 with side of chicken wings and chicken balls for new years eve. Delivery was on time, portions were a good size and the food was fantastic. Not overly salted, just right.

I really wanted to love this place because it’s so close to home, but I was disappointed. Spent $90.00 for 3 people and the food was barely enough. The pork fried rice, Cantonese noodles and chicken balls were tasteless. The ginger chicken and wonton soup were mediocre and lacked flavour.

I’m surprised this place has good reviews. The high cost of the food does not reflect the quantity or quality of the food. Will need to look for another spot, would suggest potential customers to do the same.

This place is GARBAGE! I don't know what they're not putting in their recipes, but the flavors are either missing or all wrong. Every single thing we ordered tasted bad! We pretty much threw everything out after two bites. So sad. $100 worth of food and it wasn't even worth it!

I’m giving two stars cause I was a long time customer

Service is great but the food quality isn’t to par. I understand prices go up but I spent $187 for take out - I had to throw out all my chicken dishes. Completely covered in cornstarch, it had a weird chemical smell stringy slime and undercook it’s was disgusting.

After 20 years I’m saying good buy to choice of the orient
