The beef could pass as beef jerky. Hard dry beef, even the meat tenderizer didnt help. The garden salad was a total of 3 bites with no dressing. Garlic sauce is like a mini mini sample. But they feed you rice and bread for the full week.
Had the most amazing lunch here - the meats were so fresh, juicy, and tender and the rice was just perfect & naans were so fresh and soft! The staff and customer service were phenomenal and the place was so clean too.
Hi, no offence to the restaurant owners but Chicken Biryani was the worst. Its not authentic biryani recipie, although it might be some other Indian regional colourfull rice dish. Service was friendly but Biryani is not recommended to those who actually understand the real essence and taste of this dish.
We ordered two meat platters with rice. All of the meat was dry and tasted old. The rice was also dry and tasted stale. On the menu it says the chicken is chicken breast but it is thigh, and their naan is not fresh, it is the frozen one you buy at the grocery store.
A total waste of over $100, and we paid for some items we didnt receive and had to remind them. The lady overcharged for naans, even though we confirmed 3 times that we didnt want it. It just seems like a dishonest establishment that serves stale food. Nothing about the food is afghani.
In todays event at conestoga conestoga we get to know about this place and tried the amazing things, tandoori chicken and vegiterian meal (egg plant) are awesome Test.i will definitely go over again and again.and i also recommend other peoples to try this place, special thanks to Mr Nirav for suggestion
Did not have a good experience here. Firstly it’s not afghani anymore. The food was pretty average. Chicken breast was extremely dry and seemed old. Nans were the store bought packet naans, rice had no flavour. On top of that we were charged extra for the rice when the server clearly said they were included, we were not told about the extra charges. Sorry but not coming back again.
I ordered food online and I found it average. I have myself worked in an Afghani restaurant when I was a new comer in Canada. I was expecting the same quality and taste but I was disappointed. The naan is not at all like we used to make in the restaurant. It is just like the packaged naan we get in Walmart. I felt I over paid for the food.
Very nice place, we went to dine in as a family. The food was delicious, with great taste and aroma. They have choices for children. The restaurant is very clean and well designed. The staff are courteous and polite. Excellent value for the money. We recommend this restaurant
In todays event at conestoga conestoga we get to know about this place and tried the amazing pakodas i will definitely go over again and again.and i also recommend other peoples to try this place, special thanks to Mr Jay for suggestion
At today's event at Conestoga, me and my friends loved the pakoras, so delicious definitely a staple, would suggest a must try at the restaurant. Special credit goes to the Mr. Jay and the owner
A friend of ours invited us to an event at Conestoga DTK Campus, and they had pakoras from chopan kabob which everyone loved along with the lively crowd!
Amazing food, loved the pakoras Thank you Jay for your recommendation for baklava and some amazing veg food that I am looking forward to try!
We went for dine in to enjoy dinner on a Sunday. Have to say the ambience of the restaurant was below average and the lady who received us didn’t event had a smile on her face and was not at all welcoming! Fortunately once we had our seats, a guy showed up with the menu and he did a nice job and was so pleasant through out the time we sept there.
We had fries along with mango lassi followed by that the main course: Tandoori chicken kabob and Pulao was so pathetic, didn’t even had any flavour and the beef curry wasn’t even cooked well with no flavour! The plating was terrible. (check other reviews) someone would have posted pictures which proves they don’t even have a plate which can fit the food which someone can eat without making it spill all over the table.
Will never go there again!
Kind advise to the restaurant owner to hire someone to the reception who know to welcomes the customer as they pay and come there to spend time to enjoying with their family & friends!
Went here for dinner with family. We were about 15 people, but the restaurant was empty. That should have been a red flag. It took forever for the food to come out. Nothing tasted fresh. Chapli was burnt. Washrooms were scary.
