Chowrasta Indian Cuisine

The ambience of the place is good and spacious. Pleasant interiors. We ordered Chicken and mutton roast biryani. Both were delicious. Chicken biryani was authentic. The appetizers were loose prawns and granite chicken. Loose prawns were crispy and tasted awesome. All you spice lovers granite chicken is your dish (though my son almost died eating it). They can improvise their mirchi salan. Overall good experience.

Poor service. They have one server on a busy night. After waiting for an hour, they came up with one out of three dishes that were ordered. There were no servers around. The server argued back when confronted instead of apologizing.

We ordered the butter chicken, the lamb Rogan Josh, goat biryani, the chili naan and the garlic naan. If you like butter chicken, this is the best you will ever have. I thought I knew what butter chicken was about but I was quickly humbled. Not only was this creamy and exploding with flavor, but it had a tangy kick that I haven't experienced before - It was phenomenal. The Rogan Josh was also beautifully developed with complex flavours. Garlic naan can never be bad, this was no exception. I wish I had a wardrobe of garlic naan clothes that I could have butter chicken showers in. See again soon Chowrasta! Oh, and the service here was great. Attentive, friendly and helpful.

Best butter chicken I’ve ever had! Wow. The service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere was filled with lively music and inviting aromas. We ordered butter chicken, lamb Rogan Josh, goat biryani, Chili naan and garlic naan. Everything was divine. In the mood for reasonably priced, tasty and delicious Indian food? Look no further! Will definitely be back.

I had takeout yesterday and even though I told the staff this was my first time there the food was horrible; I ordered Royal chicken Biryani and it was the worst Indian food ever: 1) They used old frozen rice that was microwaved; 2) There were only three small dry chewy pieces of chicken which was rubbery and had a strange taste as if it had half rotted and then they had cooked it to save it from further rotting and had the smell and taste of rotting covered with some spices, nothing like what was advertised on their menu of how it is made and it's ingredients; 3) There was barely any aromatic spices in the rice and the very small amount was powder so God only knows what was blended in with the rice; 4) My mother ordered lamb Biryani and hers was exactly as horrible as mine. We paid so much money and ended up throwing it into garbage; basically we spent so much money and ended up hungry still. I'll never ever go back! I was so disappointed I didn't spend any time taking a picture.

Had a wonderful dinner at Chowrasta-Thornhill, the staff was extremely pleasant and very helpful in guiding us in the right direction in regards to the menu! The food was absolutely stellar, and their Goat Biryani and Seekh Kebab was a masterpiece of course the other items in the menu too. They never disappoint us in quality and quantity. An absolute must try and your tastebuds will thank you. We will be returning diners!

Very slow service. You have to wait 1 hour after you order something and flies all over your food. Worst washrooms

If you are excited to try some noodles and Gobi Manchurian then please do not, worst taste ever: (Little flies flying around, and the taste made us nauseous, do not know about other food taste but do not go for veg noodles and Gobi Manchurian, The Chef needs to change the recipe.: (

Worst briyani ever eaten. Ordered ghee roast mutton briyani completly disappointed with the unflavoured rice we got. Called the restaurant said they are not responsible for food change this moment.

One of the best places to have Chinese cuisine, taste has been consistent since many days and overall service was excellent.

First of all I have heard a lot from my friend that it’s good and even I tried their chicken tikka masala when we order them for 8 people as a cater order. So decided to go for dine in and we first asked for granite chicken as everyone has spoken a lot on review for that dish it was not that good but was decent. Then we ordered chicken kadai as the restaurant suggested us. When they brought it it was total blend with no taste no salt nothing. We complained it to the person who was taking the order he took the order and brought the new one which was really decent in tasted wise and our other food like naans and biryani was cold till the time kadai came back. It was completely a worst experience and would not recommend and please NOTE it was really ONE TABLE with us when we went for dine in so it was not that busy and they created a mess. Would never ever go again to try their food. As they have many items on the menu card but they should really focus on items they make taste wise rather then printing on the menu page with different names. Would not recommend and I think so it’s my first and last visit at chowrasta

My friends and I went there for Masala dosa. Unfortunately the waitress was not great. She wasn’t sure that there was dosa and then came back to tell it was available. We were then served masala dosa with any Sambar and only coconut chutney. We were willing to order Sambar but was told it was not available. It was disappointing and not sure we are planning to come back.

Went out for a casual outing for Indian cuisine in Thornhill and found this authentic Indian place. The menu is quite good with speciality in Andhra cuisine. We bring vegetarians had good options to choose. Tried paneer starter, Dum biryani and Hakka noodles. Super fast service and very yummy food. Courteous service by Ms. Lovepreet. Must come again and recommended. My daughter wanted to give ten stars after finishing the starters:)

We ordered something called Shahajani Chicken but we're pretty sure it wasn't chicken. The meat tasted really weird and smelled too.

I wish i can give this team negative 5 star. They seem to be working in the service area but not even happy to serve properly. Their attitude is pretty arrogant like dude? See me in person and i will show you what your real place is, instead of being a manager. Not sure about the kitchen dept but front desk team needs a whole lot of training. Strongly recommend this place to those who want to be insulted and pay for it️

I ordered channa bhatura plate however, they gave me separate channa and separate square shaped bhatura like Mathi.
Worst experience ever in Canadian restaurant.

This restaurant is extremely dirty and the service is very poor. Even I ordered food from Uber and others, it takes a long time to reach you, and even I went to get food myself, it took time, and I don't accept this restaurant at all.

We had a great time there yoday for lunch. Our server was very patient with us as it was our first time there. We had the Granite Chicken, Nizami Chicken Korma, Butter Chicken, Goat Malai and Ghee Roast Chicken Biryani, Garlic Naan, White Rice and a Mango Rupture Lassi. Everything was delicious! Our server was attentive even though she was by herself looking after multiple tables and takeout. Our family will definitely be back to try more of your delicious food. Thank you!

No Spoons No Napkins. Terrible Service. Upon requesting a spoon and fork later.then said we only provide on request. So How someone Gonna Eat Noodles and other Food? Terrible Taste

Great food, pretty interior and the staff were friendly. My favorite dish was the shrimp makhani- so rich in flavour and has a great amount of shrimp

Food was amazing - everything was so flavourful and the portions are large. We got the vegetable biryani, chicken korma and tikka masala. The curries were so yummy, and packed with meat. The chicken was sooo tender.
We got takeout but the interior is beautifully decorated, will be dining in in the future for sure.

We got Andhra Goat Curry with Garlic Naan, Tandoori Chicken, Granite Chicken, Goat Dum Biryani, and Mango Rupture Lassi. Andhra Goat Curry was so flavourful, full of spices, the Goat meat in it was fall off the bone tender, paired with the pillowy soft Garlic Naan, it was AMAZING! Tandoori Chicken had a really nice char, the marinate was on point, the chicken pieces were so tender and juicy. Granite Chicken was spicy, tender, it made such a great appetizer! Goat Dum Biryani was LOADED with Goat chunks on flavourful, fragrant basmati rice. Mango Lassi was refreshing and so perfect for the meal!

Excellent food! The biryanis are top class with a perfect blend of spices. The rice is perfectly cooked each time and the biryanis are not oily like the other places which is great. Our go to choice also for catering when we want Indian food for guests.

Pretty good food to get Telugu food and really good biriyani. Highly recommend it! Venkatesh was especially helpful when we went there.

This place has the best Indian food around this area. The food is tasty with some really good Telugu food, dosas, hakka and surprisingly good dum biryani (which they actually seem to be making in batches).

We had to wait an extended period of time for our food. After we finished our main course, they served starters. They also served cold garlic naan, which I'm sure came from another table because their order was cancelled. Incompetent employees.

Horrible Service. First dish arrives in 30 mins. Ordered extra naan and it took them another 20 mins to get. With a mere 15 guests in the restaurant they struggled to service. Wish I could give negative rating. "paisa aur waqt - dono barbaad " - never coming back
