Chronic Ink - Tattoo Shop Downtown Toronto

I did a walk-in, because I was only there for 6 days. All the employees were very nice and listened to me. A bit pricey (220$), but it’s understandable considering that Toronto is a big city. They gave me clear instructions about the aftercare. Overall, I was taken off really fast and I’m very happy with the final product!

We went to chronic Ink to get piercings and were so thrilled with our experience at the studio and especially with V. She was so professional, friendly and really made us feel at ease through the entire process. If we decide to get anymore piercings we’ll definitely be going to V. - Kate and Rod (husband and wife)

Was advised incorrectly on the price by the artist and the staff during consultation. I went with an expectation of a $300-400 tattoo and they ended up charging $1800.
The tattoo was also not exactly what I approved. After almost 2 months of communication, I was reimbursed a very tiny portion of the amount.
Never expected a big name studio to be so unaccountable. Will actively caution anyone I know to not go here.
The worst tattoo experience I’ve had in the city.

I had my tattoo done with Karren Kay, and she did an amazing job. It was my first time getting one, and she was recommended to me by a friend. I was fairly nervous going in, but she was very careful to make sure I was comfortable, safe, and not overwhelmed as a first-timer. She was also very enthusiastic and friendly, and put in a lot of extra details that made the final product really shine.
I have since come back for more work from her since that first time, and would easily recommend her to anyone seeking a positive tattooing experience.

It's a shame you have to go through an awful phone menu and reception line in order to book anything

Always a great experience when using chronic ink, I’ve been to multiple locations and I’ve never been disappointed. Definitely recommend checking them out, specially for your first tattoo.

Alex Prequel did a beautiful job at covering up a tattoo that I no longer liked. He’s a uper talented, attentive and kind. From booking to aftercare, I had a great experience. Will definitely be coming back.

Walk-in rook piercing was super easy, just called an hour ahead to ask if they had availability. Vee was soooo nice and clearly very knowledgeable and the actual piercing itself was super painless! The piercing was $40, basic titanium barbell was $30 which I think is typical for downtown.

It's been a couple weeks and I've had no pain and barely any swelling. Definitely recommend!

I have had many tattoo's done by Karen and will be having many more done by her in the future. She was courteous, clean, and patient, especially with painful tattoos. I felt welcomed and at home in the studio with her service. Her line work and attention to detail is incredible and I love every tattoo I've gotten from her. The studio itself was clean, the staff was friendly and the process of getting a tattoo there was very easy and not intimidating. Overall, a five star experience and I will be returning. Tattoo didn’t heal well despite following directions - lots of bald patches within the first month.

I was also told I can get a free touch up within 6 months, but upon requesting a touch up (4 months after my tattoo) they refused to offer me the complimentary touch up because they said their policy is 3 months, not 6. A side note: at the time of my tattoo appointment, they explicitly told me that coming in sooner than 3-4 months for a touch up was too soon, and that I have 6 months for a free touch up. This is why I waited until 4 months post-appointment.

This was my first tattoo experience ever, and despite me being given misinformation, Chronic Ink did not take responsibility nor try to make amends for my poor experience - they not only said “there’s nothing we can do”, they tried to tell me that I was the one who misunderstood them when I was VERY clearly told 6 months.

Very disappointed because I was planning on returning to Chronic Ink for many more tattoos, but I will not be going back.

Best tattoo discount shop It is a place where you can get very cheap tattoos in Toronto. I'm waiting for another discount event. I will go again!

My first visit was perfect.the booking was great.the piercing with Vee went exceptional!

Reception ruined my second visit.the perso booked wrong time.did not send confirmation and then I came at the time that was discussed over the phone and was just turned down " you missed it"

So sad too see that the great first impression can be ruined by just one person

I recently had a piece tattooed by Varun that I get SO many compliments on! It is a mandala on my arm. He is such a talented artist who I plan to book with again in the future for more. If you love mandalas, check out his work because you will be amazed.:)

I got my septum pierced by Vee and she was absolutely incredible. She explained the piercing process and the aftercare instructions very thoroughly. I get lightheaded very easily and she ensured I was comfortable, safe, and taken care of the whole time. Her compassion, kindness, and professionalism was incredible. I’ll definitely be coming back to see her for any future piercings:)

Guest artist Hongshi is very talented, and she did an excellent Jasmine tattoo on my arm. I had a fantastic experience and felt no pain at all! I got a lot of compliments. Keep up the good work and all the best!

The quote is a hoax, they always charge you the maximum amount of the range anyway. Remember to check the artists because some are apprentices and still charge same price. They no longer provide derma skin and come back to cling film now (but it might depend on the artist.derma skin should be the same practice across bc the same pricing guideline). Been going here yearly and the quality seems worse and worse.

Terrible experience! I don’t want to judge the whole shop, but first, the artist was half an hour late. And then in the middle of tattooing, she went to give a consultation for somebody for 30 mins? I just didn’t know what just happened there?

Had such an incredible experience getting my first tattoo from Chronic Ink downtown. Super clean shop and everyone was so professional from the consult, to the follow ups, the pre visit screening, the work etc. Matt was my artist and did an unbelievable job. I’ve had so many compliments already. He took the information I gave him and blew me away. Took the time to explain everything, work the piece me and did an awesome job. Made me feel comfortable the entire time. Can’t wait to work with him again! Would give 10 stars if I could. Thanks Matt and thanks Chronic Ink! See you all again soon!

I booked a tattoo last year in November. This got pushed out due to covid and the lockdown. However I was supposed to get it last week on Tuesday till the artist cancelled that same day. I had taken the day off. She had not bothered to see what design I wanted and them said she is not the right artist for me. Chronic ink didn't care to pair me with the right person to start with and then didn't do anything to save me as a client. I was told theanaher was going to call and to date no one has called. I had to call in to get my deposit back. What a waste of a full year.

I got piercings done by Maddy and she was absolutely awesome! She was very kind, polite and helpful. She really knows what she’s doing! Alex is also very knowledgeable, kind and helpful as well! They made me feel comfortable while getting my piercings. 10/10 would recommended ️

Selena did a beautiful tribute to my dog for my first tattoo. I love it and get so many compliments on it. The whole process at Chronic Ink was amazing. It’s clean, professional and the artists are so talented.

I got a piercing here today from Maddy and had an amazing time! Maddy was super clear in communicating with me every step of the way, making sure I was comfy and feeling good about the process at all times. I so appreciated how honest Maddy and Alex were in letting me know when a piercing would be a little less than ideal for my anatomy. I was able to go ahead with my other planned piercing for today, and Maddy was able to suggest alternate placements that would work for me in the future! Went to see Alex last minute because my new flat piercing was very much swollen and was sinking into my ear.
He helped me switch it out without charging me and gave me a ton of info.

I had a fantastic piercing experience with Alex at Chronic Ink. As someone with a phobia of needles, it was even more stressful that I wouldn't be able to bring someone in with me due to the COVID restrictions, but as soon as I met Alex I was knew I was in good hands. They even had a jewellery consultant to educate me and help pick out the right piece, of which they had a great selection. I went in wanting a hoop and came out with this beauty, which I love even more. His 'bedside manner' throughout the piercing made it relatively painless (I thought it'd be so much worse) and he did a thorough job of explaining the aftercare. It was a dangerously easy experience, so much so that who knows how many piercings I'll have in the future, and I'll only do them at Chronic Ink!

I had my first laser tattoo removal session today with Sarah. I was extremely nervous but as soon as I walked in, Sarah made me feel so comfortable. The procedure was super quick! She walked me through the procedure from beginning to end and gave me helpful aftercare tips. She is super professional and knowledgeable. The studio itself was very clean and beautiful.

This was the most peaceful tattoo shop I’ve ever been in. The service provided was very helpful & the employees were super kind. The artist who tattooed me was very talented, and such a fun person to talk to. Will be returning here in the future:)

Took my husband for a laser tattoo Removal. I can't remember the name of the technician, but she was super friendly and made it quick and easy for my husband. I still think it's a bit pricy, tho.

First and 2nd tattoo had at Chronic Ink. Incredible artists, atmosphere, and professionalism. You can not go wrong with Chronic Ink. Nothing but gratitude and appreciation. Special thanks to my artist for being so incredibly skilled, dope and easy to talk to.

I got a tat done by Shem. He was extremely nice, informative, cool to talk to and his black work is pretty sick. He checked up on me time to time to make sure I was good seeing that it was my first tat. Definately will come back. Everyone else there was just as chill

Had my first tattoo done at Chronic Ink yesterday-Selena is absolutely amazing! She was very caring, calming, and reassuring. I appreciate how patient she was with me! The entire staff at this location were all very nice as well. Will definitely go back for my next tattoo!

Had my first session with Sarah for tattoo removal, I am extremely impressed. She walked me through the entire process, made me feel comfortable, and was highly professional the entire time. Although pretty painful, her keeping me calm and letting me know how far we were helped SO much. Now I know what to expect, and I can’t wait to finish!

Sofia was very nice and she did a really good job on my tattoo. I got a large spine tattoo, this was my first tattoo by the way, and it wasn’t painful. Now that speaks volumes! They are very clean and professional, if I do get another tattoo I’ll be coming back!

Amazing shop, very clean, incredibly organized staff, and incredible artists. I found the prices of the artists a little high and honestly overwhelming at first, but you legitimately get what you pay for here. My artist composed an incredible tattoo for me and his technical ability made it so that my tattoo healed better and looks better than any cheaper tattoo I ever got prior.

Got my ear lobes pierced and Chronic Ink was very clean and professional. They answered all my questions and were very friendly. The experience was very smooth.

Had my first Chronic Ink tattoo with Michelle a couple weeks ago after almost 10 months of waiting, due to pandemic re-scheduling. The whole process was amazing. Michelle had a minor revision to my original design and as soon as she showed it to me, I knew she was right! I can’t thank her enough for her hard work. It’s not my 1st tattoo but it’s definitely my favourite! I’ve received so many compliments on Michelle’s work and would definitely tell anyone to work with her.

I got my first tattoo done by Selena, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I had a great time talking to her and she was very kind in guiding me through the process so I always knew what was going on, and made sure to always check in and see if I was comfortable with the pain, etc. The studio itself is very clean, and I appreciate the safety precautions they are taking during the pandemic. Shout out to Shem. He really took care of me and really made sure I was happy with his sketch beforehand and double checked if I wanted to add anything else to it. Very comfortable in the chair with him and made the experience amazing. Shem specializes in anime tattoos so if you are looking for someone in Toronto, he’s your guy! I got my first tattoo here yesterday and the experience was phenomenal. My artist, Matt Rodway, was professional, friendly, and patient (not to mention extremely talented). I was nervous, since I had never gotten tattooed before, but the nerves dissipated as soon as the appointment started. Matt walked me through everything, and the process of finalizing the design felt like a genuine collaboration. The tattoo turned out incredible, better than anything I could've imagined. I'd heard that the "experience" of getting tattooed can be just as memorable as the tattoo itself; this was certainly my case. It was an honor to get my first tattoo from Matt and I can't recommend him (and the shop) enough. Thank you!

I had been searching high and low for a reputable laser technician who specializes in eyebrow tattoo removal. All of the searching finally paid off when I came across Sarah’s instagram page. After watching a few of her client before and after videos which had amazing results, my instincts told me to call the studio and message Sarah about my past microblading experience. She got back to me so quickly too! Today was my first eyebrow tattoo removal appointment and I could not rave more about Sarah! She was punctual very friendly, attentive and professional. Sarah has an incredible bed side manner, a spotless studio and her attention to detail is outstanding! Thank you Sarah for making my first session such a pleasant experience!

Have not personally gotten a tattoo here but have sat with a good friend of mine multiple times while she got one. Very clean place. Artists are friendly and talented. Prices looked reasonable for such high quality work. If I decide to get tattoos of my own, I will definitely consider going here!

One of the best tattoo parlour in Toronto. I have visited downtown location several times and especially if you are consulting for laser removal than do contact sarah. She is really friendly and makes you feel comfortable every time you visit for consultation or Tattoo removal. This location is taking every precaution when it comes to safety of people.

Got my tattoo from Matt, it was really good! He’s very professional, nice, and does amazing tattoos! Would definitely recommend him as an artist if you guys ever need a tattoo!

The whole experience was ok. The artist was pleasant. The biggest issue I had was the price. I had 2 ankle flag tattoos with colour for $500 plus tax. The process was a little over 2 hours with actual tattooing about 1.5 hours. That’s an extremely steep hourly rate. Way too much really.

Jassy commited to a virtual consult with me 3x now on a scheduled date and time and did not follow through once with contacting me. The first time she said her client was running late. Fine. She rescheduled a second time and did not call again. She did not follow up to apologize and attempt to accommodate me. I contacted her again today to ask her why I have not received a follow up from her and she said she would call me at 7pm. It is now 730pm and she has not contacted me. So incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful of a potential client's time and money, especially when they are waiting by their phones. I no longer have trust in her word. I would never trust her to permanently tattoo my eyebrows. Highly disappointed. Work on your professionalism and common courtesy.

Always an amazing experience at chronic ink, ive been to two of the toronto locations and the service is amazing. Their knowledge of piercing far surpasses any other piercing studio in Toronto and i will never go anywhere else but here <3

I went and got my eyebrows microshaded for the first time and absolutely love them it has cut my makeup routine in half every morning. Will definitely be telling all my family and friends about it! Thanks again Jassy for the amazing brows
