We group of 4 went for dine in at 11: 15 pm on Tuesday where it was mostly empty and they didn’t let us dine in saying “ we are not taking any walk in now “. Very bad customer service. Didn’t expect this from a highly reputed bar and grill house!

We waited over an hour for our food. Might not have been so awful if they kept the drinks coming to our table but we only recieved our first drink after waiting 25 minutes. When we finally recieved our food they gave everyone their meals and did not get mine out for another 15 minutes after that. When I finally recieved my half chicken meal it looked like it was an over boiled piece of chicken served COLD! With Absolutely no char at all. So obviously not BBQ.so I didn't eat at all. I took my food home to cook it there but after realizing it was likely over boiled at Chuck's I threw it out. There was simply no saving the chaos that I waited almost an hour and a half for. The atmosphere at Chuck's is nice. Too bad the food and service is so so slow and just absolutely not worth the wait. Especially when we would have spent a lot more on drinks had they actually come to our table and asked us. Wouldn't recommend.

Went to the argyle location was told that this location was really good took 35-40 minutes to get our food my mom had the lobster and steak my dad had the bacon cheeseburger and I had the buffalo chicken fingers the steak was cold Chantelle our server was excellent she did a great job today she apologized for how long we had to wait and got us a discount on our bill for the long wait she's really a good server

It was my first time at this restaurant. I was not pleased with the service or the meal I had I'm sorry but I will not go back here, my drink was late getting to me and my food was cold I'm not a happy camper!

Food was amazing! Enjoyed the dinner very much. Unfortunately our service was disappointing. We had to get our own condiments off another table. Our server didn't check on us during dinner. We were left waiting for every aspect of the meal.

Went there one night and had a server named kelsey. Kelsey was a very lovely person and her service was top notch. Superb service, would come again. Food is also amazing.

Dirty glass with lip marks
Asked for new glass still dirty with a liquid on the bottom. My dinner had hair in it gross sent back i was given a 4 dollar discount what a joke. I have ate there many times never again.

Go to this location every couple weeks and always been treated well, however went tonight and never waited on. 2 tables came after and they were waited on. Very disappointed maybe because they have 4 in their party

Terrible service
23-May-2022.
We were group of 8 people went for a dinner (10pm-12am). At the end we asked for a bill- it came out $300.
Our waiter (manager) entered $50 tip. Without even asking us.
We asked, why cant we select the tip amount? - he said after 9pm big groups are more work for them & he was arguing they deserve more tips.

At the end of the day - Its our money, we worked hard & we have right to choose how to spend.
Never going back and I’m posting this in all social groups until the management look after this.

Took forever for our food to come. Didn’t offer to take our drinks when they were sitting on the table for 30 mins after finishing them. No condiments were offered, when our drink spilt on the table a waitress walked by twice and didn’t offer any napkins and once we finally got someone’s attention she just threw them on top of the spill, once we cleaned it up the wet napkins stayed on our table for a long time.

Me and a couple of friends went to chucks and they made us all feel uncomfortable. They were constantly staring at us especially the manager. And our server was also and not very nice. Will not be returning.

Had the worst possible experience at this location. We spent almost $300 on a takeout order for the whole family, 3 of meals were incorrect, 1 was forgotten entirely. Had to wait almost an hour to get the food that was incorrect. The Manager was apologetic, but refused to refund any of my money, told me I could have a discount at my next visit. Huge disappointment overall, we will not be returning.

A one star review is really more than they deserve.placed my order for two steaks dinners and was told 30 mins. After almost 30 mins when going to pick up my order informed no baked potatoes switched to fries which than added another 30 mins. To my order sit down to eat and find out in the end it was small portions of fries and cold small steaks and in nothing but a waste of money and time never doing this again it worth the $$$.

Waited 11 minutes for a server to greet us at the table. Waited 18 minutes for food to be served. Then waitress spills sour cream all over my wife’s shawl and didn’t say a word. The table behind us brought it to our attention. My wife stood up and sour cream was all over her shawl. The waitress then comes over as my wife is standing and cleaning it with a napkin and apologized for it.
I guess she couldn’t do that immediately after she did it and offer to cover her meal or something. Nope just walk away.
Horrible service, horrible experience, food below average. Beware.

Terrible experience, I'm disappointed since the service and quality has drastically dropped. The nachos we ordered looked as if it has been reheated more than once. Ceaser salad had the most minimum possible dressing on it.
She never asked as during the whole meal if we wanted another drink or if everything was all good.we had to ask for our bill 3 times.
I will add it was not busy at all.

We had fish n chips and onion rings. Big portions and food was hot and delicious. Staff was friendly. It was our first time there and totally enjoyed our experience. Definitely will go back.

If I could give 0 I would. The 26th of April my family decided we were going to do a significantly large takeout order. My father who is on his deathbed and given weeks to live chose that he wanted chucks as his family dinner. First we tried to call ahead to give them time and they told us they don't do ahead orders call back. They told us 45 min and after 20 they called us and said it was all ready to go. Even though my sister asked the guy to read the order back to her and specified the exact meals we needed, we received half of our orders mixed up, with half of the orders foods missing and one meal was missing entirely. After spending nearly 300$ we were met with "you already paid so nothing we can do". We're told to call head office with which we called 3 times and left names and messages and no response. It wasn't about the money it was about the purpose of the importance of the meal and they could careless. Will never go here again. The manager was absolutely rude.

In my opinion, the steaks are better than the Keg's. The porterhouse is massive, delicious and cooked to perfection. It was also a great deal. The staff is super friendly

Usually this location is amazing. Tonight our steak was basically rare and our fries old and cold. We asked to have the steak cooked a bit longer and the manager "Chand" came out and argued that there was no way our fries were cold. He was incredibly unprofessional and rude. He was literally arguing with me about fries. Definently the worst customer service experience I've ever had in a restaurant. On the plus side our waitress was great.

Awesome bartender (Kirsten) knows her stuff, very professional. Great food! The only complaint I have is the woman's washroom is discussing. I am a regular there and they need a good cleaning service because the one they have is not doing their job. They back of one toilet had poop crusted on it every day for 2 weeks, today it was gone.

This place is garbage. The staff are rude and the food came out cold both times we were there. The food was mediocre at best. Ordered steak and lobster. Lobster was way overcooked and my medium rare steak came out well done. They asked if I wanted another one and I said yes. Then it came out medium at best. Second time I ordered French onion soup as an appetizer and it came out as mush with no broth in it. They brought me another one which wasn't much better. The other Chucks is not the greatest either and is hit and miss but it's a great deal better than this dumpster fire.

To be totally honest, i was less than blown away. My server was rude and not very accommodating, the restaurant was packed and very noisy. There were people standing in the aisle just chatting. The croutons in the salad were hard as rock and the steak i odered was unbelievably chewy.
I won't be returning.

6/7pm Friday - Atmosphere was hectic and so loud. Liked the tvs (but certainly not mandatory) Good for the business but not us as we were sat isle/middle. Ugh. They were sitting 6 per booth at the time, and one fella wanted an extra seat but Nope. He was falling off the edge. Horrific.
They ran out of potatoes for dinner service too.
Food was. I had steak and lobster. Both tiny. Steak was surprisingly thin and rubbery like a freezer-company- delivery- brand.
We felt bad for the waitress.she seemed a bit frazzled and didn't seem experienced.
I can see going there mid afternoon (possibly) for a simple meal. Doubt we will revisit. Very Disappointing after looking so forward to this place.

Overall, bad. If you want a steak, don't waste your money here. If you want a burger, any fast food place is better.

First of all, we waited around 50 minutes before getting our seat. That's understandable because it was very busy. Next, we had a waitress ask us for our drinks, then not show up for another 20 minutes. I had to wave down the waitress to get our order taken. We were a family of 6, and we ordered one rack of ribs, 2 appetizers, 3 steaks and a burger.

After ordering, it took a full HOUR to get our food. Multiple tables who came in after us, got their food before us. The table directly beside us came in nearly half an hour after us, got their food first. We asked the waitress about it, and she said because we have 6 people and multiple steaks. I'm not sure how their system works, or if they have an expediter, but having 6 people shouldn't mean getting food last. Everyone had 4 to 6 people at their table. Having 3 steaks shouldn't matter, it's a steak house. Having 3 steaks, or 6 people doesn't excuse getting food last. Just go to the kitchen and solve the problem. We were also missing our appetizers that should have came out first, but didn't.

So after an hour we recieved our food. We wanted our steaks medium rare, but we expected them to over cook it, so we ordered rare. As we expected, they came out medium. Not even medium rare. No pink at all. You'd expect a steak house cooking steak properly, or even close to properly.

My burger on the other hand, the worst Burger I've had. After seeing the reviews, I should have known not to order the burger. Dry. Overcooked. No sauce. No condiments. Tiny tomato and embarassing slices of pickles. I asked for condiments, and they told me they had to charge extra for mayo. Wait what? I understand the cheap prices, but THIS cheap? Ended up packing it up. If you want a burger, go to Harvey's or any fast food place, you'll actually get sauces on your burger.

Overall, spent almost 3 hours there. Bill also came out to $131. Not as cheap as you'd think. Don't waste your time or your money. Terrible wait times, bad service, noticeably cheap food. Poor quality and poor cooking quality. Standards need to be set higher.

If there was a zero star option they would get it!
On both occasions terrible service and Soggy food! Nachos are terribly soggy and drowned in sauce!
The waitress was drinking something which looked to be alcohol behind the bar and couldn't be bothered with her tables, only what was going on at the bar.
Very loud drunks yelling across the restaurant.
The manager would not acknowledge that there was anything wrong with the food or service and instead told us that there was nothing he could do.
Overall terrible experience! Won't be back!
Chucks on Exeter road was much better! Although not sure anymore as the manager said he owns that one as well now.

Not nearly as good as the one in White Oaks on Exeter. Our steaks had no flavour at all. We ordered calamari and there was maybe 8 pieces, rest of it was just batter. Total not the great quality we have at the other restaurant.

First time at chucks. Place was packed and lively. Ordered steak and lobster (I like my steak rare and ordered it rare) it came a medium at best and guess what - they forgot the lobster.lol what a joke: Our server however was nice and helped out the kitchens terrible service. I wouldn't go back and I wouldn't recommend IT to anyone. Go to crabbys and get what you're looking for!

Short bartender didn't pay attention to drink order. Don't help yourself to tipping yourself with my change, leave my receipt and don't be indignant when you make the mistake about the drink order.

Cx service is letting your cx take their drink tab to their table.

Server just helped moved this rating up to two stars. There is good value on the food if you can tolerate the service.

The food took too long.

Get mystery shoppers to get this place up to speed.

Im going to have to say it was the worst meal, Ive had in years. I should have listened when I was told it was bad. We waited 1/2 hour for our meal to come and mine was absolutely inedible, i ordered steak and lobster, med rare, when it came it was well done and the lobster was so overcooked it was dried away from the shell. I sent it back, the waitress offered another meal i declined because my boyfriend had already started eating and we agread to share his which was barely warm and I didnt want to wait another 1/2hour just wanted to get the hell out and stop wasting my life there. I had 1 wing and a rib and lost my appetite, when we were leaving i mentioned to the young lady who i assumed was the hostess or manager, wasnt sure because she was more interested in her social life not paying attention to her duties, that it was really bad and she was beyond rude and in a snotty tone replied " well we said we would make it again". Would really like to get in touch with head office, not a good way to represent. I will be advising anyone I know or even do t go to not go here for fooď.

I was very disappointed with the whole experience. First the one door was locked so people had to take turns going in and out of the place. Then we had to wait to be seated and that's fine its a restaurant and on a Friday night I expect to wait. But we get a booth and then have to wait 15 to even order a drink. Now at this point it was not to busy. There were a few staff just talking and literly walking around the restaurant doing nothing I watch one staff walk around the restaurant twice and they did nothing. So back to ordering my drinks we figured we would order our food at this point because we had no clue how long we would have to wait to order that. So I order rib eye and mashed potatoes and I asked for my steak to be rare and my partner ordered the chicken burger and frys. So after that we get our drinking in about 5 to 9 min later thats not bad and our food around 15 min after that. Well we thought we did they brought us the wrong meals. So they took them and took them to a other table. So ours comes out a few min later. So I go to eat my steak and it's cold and blue. I ask my partner how there food is and they say it's OK. So I grab the next available staff and show them its cold and blue they take it back and throw it on the grill and bring it back to me. So I try it and it tastes OK. So I continue to eat it. As we are eating away my partner takes a bite of her chicken and it's slimmy. So we don't really finish out food and at this point I am surprised no ones asked us at all how are food is. So after pushing our plates to the side to show we are done. We ask for the bill. Our server shows up puts in the amount and slammed it down on the table and as she's walking away says I will be right back. I am sorry but this place is a waste of money. And time.

Just to finish. I hope people learn how to do there job and how to do it right.

The new Argyle location has been open for a while now. Its still super slow. The food takes a long time. Took 45 minutes for nachos. Seriously.
All the servers complain they work too many hours. Tonight we asked to have a different waiter as ours worked 13 hours already and he was unprofessional, messed up our order, forgot a drink, refused to check on our food, didnt bring napkins or cutlery, then he was absolutely rude when we called him on it.
We are not going back to this location. We have been 3 times since opening and the food always takes a lobg time to be served.
PS.the sound system is awful. They have put in the cheapest system possible. Very disappointed as we love the Wellington location.

Food was OK. My husband and I ordered a first round of cocktails. Long Island and Martini. Martini did not have olives. We then ordered their Ceasars cocktail. It looked refreshing on the menu. I would not recommend this cocktail. The taste was awful. We told our waiter that it wasn't good. He did not even ask of we yould like to order something different. In the end we took only one sip from it and left it.

Absolutely LOVE Chuck's, have visited the Exeter Rd location on several occasions and now the new Clarke Rd location. The food is always hot and tasty. The hamburger plate with fries for 6.00 is a bargain, then add an all you can eat salad for 4.00 more, can't go wrong for 10.00 total. The fish dinner and the roast beef dinner are really great as well. Staff are friendly, yes, its always busy and wait times can be longer, but that's what happens when you have good food for a reasonable price. I will continue visiting Chuck's in London. I Give you guys thumbs up, keep up the good work.

I will never eat here again. Customer service is non-existent because management does not hire enough staff and implements stupid policies to save a nickel wherever they can. Not to mention the food - the worst, over cooked garbage I have ever had. AND, they added 3% to add further insult to injury.

I wish Casey’s had never left. At least they had good food and service. This place won’t be around long, at this rate.

Terribly disappointed.

Let's start with our waiter, from the moment he asked what we wanted. He was RUDE with his response to what I had ordered as an appetizer (Salad). Then when our appetizers go to the table my husband accidentally spilled his beer, could not find our waiter.then when he came over, there was absolutely NO rush on his part to clean it up. Then when our steak got to the table my steak was not cooked how I asked for it again looking for the waiter finally he took the steak back to be cooked again. Well I ate my corn and baked potatoe & my husband ate his meal after about 10 mins I asked him how is my steak coming along.his response was OH I FORGOT ABOUT IT finally got my steak. Then desert and asked for the bill straight away as it may have taken longer to get that. It came with the 3.0% honest to goodness fee. So there for with your lack of respect for your customer and forgetting about my steak you will not receive a tip.

For future reference if we choose to eat there again, that honest to goodness taxes will come off of what I tip.

The food is ok. Not good but not bad. The staff are ok they seemed over worked and stressed out. Service was slow and the mixed drinks were watery so we switched to bottled beer. If asked how I liked my experience I'd say Meh, it was alright.
I ordered the Texas cut, blue. I think my dog enjoyed it more than I did.
Wouldn't recommend it but wouldn't discourage anyone else from going. I just won't be going again.

Our server was Sam! Great Guy! When we first arrived we had to wait so we got drinks at the bar. Unfortunately we had to pay for them separate, as they could not be added to our table. Not a big deal. Food was delicious. We ordered the Surf-n- Turf. $20 for Sirloin $26 for New York. Steak size was smaller then expected for the New York but for Steak and Lobster BEST PRICE HANDS DOWN!
FULL OF FLAVOUR AND COOKED AMAZING!

It definitely is a perfect place to meet up for drinks and a meal after work, if catch a game or just hang out for an appetizer! You definitely will not find the quality of food for these prices ANYWHERE IN LONDON!

Hey Chucks, here’s your 3% honest to goodness review!

My poor customer service story begins from the moment I walked in. The restaurant had a lot of vacant tables, however our group of 3 was forced to wait 20 minutes due to a “policy” which groups of 3 were only to be seated at 4-seat tables. We were informed that there is nothing that can be done to remedy this. After waiting for 20 minutes, we asked to speak to a manager, who did not see us or talk to us, rather instructing his staff to seat us at one of the many open tables. All this was happening while the manager/owner was sitting by himself at a 8-seater table.

After waiting a considerable amount of time to have a server come, we ordered 3 burgers.

“Charbroiled to perfection” doesn’t do the burger justice. The correct slogan should be “charbroiled to a unrecognizable roof shingle” - which perfectly describes the burger and accompaniment.

The burger was hard, almost as if it was a lump of coal, the fries were like twigs that have been ripped of branches by a windstorm, and the bun was like a manhole cover - hard and round, covering up the soggy pickle and tomato and promises of good food and value underneath.

Essentially, all I ate was a crusty bun with sadness and regret.

Extremely disappointed with the quality of food, service and overall atmosphere.

Also, they have a 3% “honest to goodness fee” they add to the end of the check. Not that it’s a lot, but why not add it in the price.

Today was our first experience at the new Chucks at Argyle. We have been to the Exeter rd and Ingersoll locations several times and have had great food and service.
Today however I was a bit disappointed. We had about a 10 min wait for a table, which was fine.so we sat and at the bar and ordered 2 Caesars. We paid for our Caesars at the bar.
Our meal was good but had to ask twice for water. And had to ask for condiments.
My husband paid the bill without checking.
It wasn’t until after we left that I saw the receipt, which was much more than I expected. We were charged again for the Caesars.very annoyed

We were celebrating our husbands birthdays and approximately 45 minutes later we were asked to move from the table and sit at another one due to 12 people waiting to sit together. The server that asked us to take our time, not like we had a choice. We moved to another table and the group of 10, not 12 sat down at both tables. 20 minutes later 2 more people came in, not 4. When the meals finally showed up, they were not done as we expected. Was a big disappointment. We ate it anyways, only cause we waited so long for it. I had ordered another drink, finally got it about 20 minutes later. Customer service in there was terrible! We asked to see the manager and told him everything, he didn't seem to care. We got a free desert, but just 1, there was 4 of us, and again we waited a long time to even get that. Read all the reviews hungry people, they are not wrong or made up, its places like this that makes you want to buy your own food and cook it at home. Cant see this place lasting long, or maybe they will hire servers and managers that care about their customers.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This has to be the worst restaurant with the worst and most inconsiderate staff I have ever seen. Not only did 4 people get seated ahead of my daughter and I. The waiter was rude and didnt even ask what my daughter wanted to drink.

She got sick during the meal and puked quite a lot. I had to yell to get someone's attention as 4 staff walked past and gave a look of disgust. I had no one ask if I was okay or needed anything. I understand it was busy, but it was the worst service ever. The ONLY person who asked if I was okay or needed anything was another guest. I had to ask 3 servers for a bag or a bowl or something for my 3 year old to puke in because she clearly wasn't done. As if a sick child isnt embarrassing enough, the dishwasher came out with a mop bucket and made a comment to another staff that I needed to clean up the mess before he mopped. I had to stand for 5 minutes and ask the hostess if I could get some boxes and my bill. The only person with some humanity, was another guest. I understand a sick child is very inconvenient but when another guest even tells me that the way my daughter and I were treated was disgusting, really says something. I DID NOT tip and will never be back. It was embarrassing and my worst experience at a restaurant. Teach your staff some compassion and how to do their jobs! I'm not one to complain, but this is one for the books.

This review is being written based on this restaurant being affordable. The food is great for the money. I have eaten at Chuck's twice now (different locations) and for what you pay was very happy. Nice atmosphere with sports on TV and beer for a great price. Don't expect high end dining and you'll probably be really happy.
