On January 2nd, my family and I dined at Chuck's Roadhouse for lunch. Probably theeee worst service I've had in all of my years of dining out. The restaurant only had 4 other tables dining in at the same time my family and I were. It was about 1: 15pm. It was 15mins before drink orders were taken and our presence was acknowledged. The drinks then arrived 8mins later (2 waters, a beer, 1 iced tea and 3 kid gingerales), delivered by the manager on duty. He would not take our food order and told us our server would be with us shortly. We were also short kid menus and crayons. It was another 15min wait before our server came to take our orders. No apologies for the delays. Our orders came out at two different times. 5 out of 7 meals arrived at the table after 30mins and the last 2 meals arrived easily 10mins after that. We ordered chicken club sandwiches, a Buffalo chicken sandwich, a cheeseburger and 3 kid combos. No napkins or condiments were brought to the table ahead of time, nor with the food. I had to seek them out myself, from the manager who shrugged off my concerns regarding our lack of service and the long wait times we had been experiencing. I worked in the service industry for over a decade. I realize how busy staff and the kitchen can get but the restaurant was practically empty at the time we were there. We were charged full price for our items, without any acknowledgement that Chuck's could've done better, or any coupons for any future visits. I felt completely disrespected and disappointed and I will never return to this particular establishment again. Do better Chuck's!

Chucks is a cozy spot with delicious food! The ambiance is relaxed, and the service is friendly. Their menu offers a variety of tasty dishes, and the prices are reasonable. A great place to enjoy a great meal!

Took a while for our meals to arrive. Two med well steaks and a medium steak. Mine (medium) was cool when it arrived. It all tasted great and a good value for what you get! Cheap draft as well! ;)

For Sunday October 22nd

Disappointing experience, arrived at 4: 00 & 4: 30 (table of 6) We orders drinks, appetizers and our entrees. The appetizers took about 45-60 to come to the table and another and another 40min for the entrees to arrive. Did not look overly busy about 6 tables of couples and or families. (Could not get a baked potato with my steak because it was before 5 however didn’t get my steak until 5: 30 …) Sorry for the negative review however we all left disappointed but the food was great

3-weeks of dealing with “customer service “ I have nothing good to say

The owners are very hands on and they have by far the best steak. They know how to cook food better then any Chucks in the Tri city. If you like steak, go here and stay clear of the Highland location in Kitchener

We just went for few drinks
Ordered brusheta cheesy fries and wings
The wings and fries were served cold
One does not go to the restaurant and pay for food to be served cold

I never thought to have the worst ever customer service from such a reputed name.
Impoverished time management, indigent food and penniless service,
Specially the server with overloaded arrogance for nothing.
Please focus on getting better and skilled work fellowship otherwise
There is no use of running a place where people even don’t know to perform their responsibility.

I went to chucks few days ago. I enjoyed taste of food. It was really delicious. Kirtan served us and he was very kind. I loved his service. Everyone was friendly here.

I went with my wife and daughter. Staff were very friendly, food tasted fresh, and the managment was welcoming. 10/10 would recommend!

We arrived around 9pm on march 21 3023 and everything seemed normal. We orders about $120.00 worth of food and when the food arrived so did the flies. Several flies everywhere and we fanned vigorous to keep then off our meals. Flies were getting stuck on our wings tossed with sauce, our dips, on our garlic bread, nachos and even landing on my schooner beer and in my beer. I was so disgusted and sickening about this fly's situation. When I spoke to the staff about it, she mentioned she knew it was an issue but what do we want her to do about it? When manager came, he lied to us and challenged us as if we were trying to get free food. I explain my disgust and showed him the dead flies I had smacked AND showed him the flies that were in my food and my drinks. He saw them buzzing around and said. "he will give us a free nacho voucher". 60% - 70% of my meal was taken back because it was infested by flies and I still had to pay full payment for my food that I did not finish because of the disgusting flies. The manager said he would take some off the bill for the inconvenience but he lied and didn't take anything off. Not to mention the manager challenged us and said every bar is like this! He said there were no flied in our food after going back and looking at the food for 30 seconds as if we were delusional. I had explained that this plot that he is insinuating about us making a complaint not to pay the meal was very insulting! I was very saddened by my experience here and this MUST be checked out. I have mentioned, if you are aware there is a fly problem in your store then why are you still serving paying clients! Must be rectified before you serve clients and get kore clients sick!

I only gave 1 star because 0 was not an option. Horrendous experience this evening. We waited 2 hours for food and had to get up to order our own drinks from the bar. The restaurant had 8 staff working and only the bar side had patrons and still only 5-6 tables full. The waitress literally threw the debit machine at me to end off the already horrible evening. Some staff that were not working but simply there drinking proceeded to confront us when we called out the staff on their behaviour. An absolutely disgusting customer service and overall experience tonight. I don’t even know what else to say…I am in shock that this is the new standard of service in this industry. NEVER will I return to Chucks…at any location…most definitely not Kitchener on Gateway!

Limited selection of domestic beer. Food was ok to good. Server was not familiar with food and drink options.

We will not return to this location. Each time we have been there we have had to wait long periods of time to get our food. But last night we also had a server who did not seem interested in serving/taking care of our table. Hardly ever checked on us (at one point, one of us had to go to the bar and speak to another server to order food and drinks) or we had to flag her down each time. Did not clear dishes or glasses off our table without us requesting it. We were a table of six adults of more mature years, ordering over $200 worth of food and drink, so one would think said person may want have wanted to ensure good service as we would probably tip well. After 3 hours there she walked to our table and said we were cut off! Excuse me? One person was drinking pop (after having 2 drinks) and another (after 1 1/2 beers) was on water! We were shocked. Not rowdy, not rude or obnoxious. We discovered after that it was only 2 of the 6 at our table (eg. 4 beers in 3 hours and not driving?) but it was the way it was handled. And to top it off, the washrooms were freezing, not clean and only 1 of the 4 stalls in the ladies was useable. So we will take our custom elsewhere in future.

Worst Experience I have ever had! We had to wait for our food for over 1 hour. To top it all, we asked for water and a serves started talking back. Everyone in the restaurant was rude to us. The Manager was incapable of handling the situation. I would never visit the place again.

Have been to several Chucks locations. This one has not so great service. They appear to be understaffed. Our food was fine, but each item came out at separate times. In a group of four, one of us was finished eating our food before the fourth person received theirs.
Not likely to return to this location.

Best place to enjoy the hockey nights cheap beer and half price apps. Been here with friends the server was really helpful and suggest us some great dessert.

The steaks are so good here, we went 3 times in 2 weeks all 3 times we ordered the porterhouse, it is so good we didnt have to use any salt or pepper or even steak sauce. We just ate it the way it was served. Cant wait to go back and have it again. The prices are VERY reasonable too. They also have great deals on beer.

Waited outside 45 minutes. Took over an hr 10 minutes to finally receive our food. Bad service. Food was not the best. First time, Last time.

If I could give this location a -star I would. I gave this restaurant THREE chances. The last time just topped it off, it took an hour to get two burgers. They made one without bacon which is whatever it happens however they took the whole plate and didn’t return it for another HALF HOUR. They also didn’t give any condiments for the second burger, by the time the first burger came back out the second burger was cold. Quite the date night. In the hour and a half we were there we witnessed two other couples leave without eating. The waitress had even told us how it was her third shift and it was dreadful for her. Save yourself the trouble and go to the Chucks on fairway.

Last time there they put us at a table beside door every time the door opened very cold, we asked to be moved they said there was no tables but someone came in they said they didn't want to be at door so they put them at the other end of dining room, so there was other tables we ate in our winter coats. Then we ordered app and dinner they brought my soup with my steak dinner was very upset my first visit to that location I try again tonight

Love this place. Food is really good and prices are very reasonable for a non-fast food restaurant. Service is very good.

First time going to Chucks near Costco, and my wife and I have had a 5 star rating at the other location on Fairway rd. The first thing is a little long between apps and main course, bacon wrapped doesnt mean a burnt piece of bacon toothpicked to the top of the steak, steak was luke warm (possibly left in the window to long) my wife's fish looked over cooked or the oil needs to be changed, SHOESTRING FRIES? I think one of the worst fries you could possibly serve. The other 2 orders for my kids were good along with the Caesar salad. All in all it was a very poor experience.

Worked for these guys for 6 months at the Cambridge location.every pay cheque I received was short at least 5 hours. After every paycheque I was forced to go back and have to review my hours with the owner. The owner himself actually payed me $35 cash once for 3 missing hours. I just quit a couple weeks ago and my last pay was supposed to be 37.5 hours and I was only given a cheque for 26.5 hours. I am writing this so people know what is going on here. I went through my hours once again and they are refusing to pay my last ten hours. Enjoy “sunny! ”This place is run by criminals, they own three locations and are ripping off employees at all of them. Known fact. Hamilton, kitchener and Cambridge location are owned by these guys. Only one I’ll go to is the one at sportsworld because it isn’t owned by the scam artists.

I was really excited to come to Chucks Roadhouse and that's where the fun stopped. After being seated it was over 15 minutes before we saw a server and that's after my husband went and asked for one. Our food and drink order were taken promptly after that and the app was super fast coming out. I ordered the new york steak and lobster, and even though my medium rare came out medium it tasted good. The kids food options were kind of boring (hamburger, cheese burger, grilled cheese or chicken fingers with fries) and drinks were at an additional cost. The kids food was cold, but I think that was partially due to the fact that there were big fans blowing the whole time. The server was friendly and accommodating. The prices were low and the food reflected that - backyard bbq feel, price, and taste. If you want fancy this isn't the place for you, but if you want a homey family atmosphere you will love it. Raven was our server and she honestly was awesome, I wish her coworkers would have been working together as more of a team. I would return.

First time here. The restaurant wasn't busy, still took over a half hour to get our meals. All our meals came out Luke warm at best. Tasted ok. Told the waitress, she said sorry and that was the end of it. If we didn't have the 2 for 1 coupon would have complained more. Can't understand why it took so long to get our food as other customers got their food in a reasonable amount of time. Asked another table how their food was and they said it was hot enough, but what do you expect for the price.

My boyfriend and I came here Friday evening after hearing good things and wanting to try it. Extremely disappointed with everything. Everything we ordered (including our drinks) was brought to our table wrong. Our waitress brought us two cokes, (even though we only ordered one) and she told us we could keep it and then we were charged for it. They brought us the wrong appetizer and we were told this is what we ordered (we've never ordered spinach dip before) when we ordered garlic bread. Our waitress seemed annoyed and like she hated her job the whole time we were there she said maybe 10 words to us the whole time we were there and didn't apologize for all the wrong orders. Food was below average but you get what you pay for I guess.nobody refilled our drinks or asked how the food was. Service was obviously bad. Will not come back and I do not recommend.

Amazing prices, decent service, good atmosphere. The food is generally incredible but on occasion doesn't meet the mark of amazing. For the price, it definitely can't be beat.

Food mediocre, service mediocre, atmosphere mediocre. Cold in restaurant. Beer good value! Will not return. You get what you pay for.

The bathroom was disgusting, and there was a layer of dust on the toilet paper dispenser that suggested it hasn't been cleaned in quite a while. The service was mediocre and the drinks and food were inconsistent with what we are used to at our usual location. Definitely will not be returning to this location

Honestly the worst fries in KW, if you just upgraded to a more premium sack of frozen fries from Costco you could get 4 stars.

4 stars for the prices. Food quality is average for a sports bar. Over seasoned burgers and frozen fish. Good place for cheap drinks though.

Sandwich was very dry, pork was put in the middle of two onion rings asked for more and they said it would cost extra. Wasn't enough to fill the sandwich and very dry. Do not recommend it.

Went for the first time today. When we ordered our food the waiter was in such a hurry he started walking away when I was still ordering. We ordered a starter salad which never came which was probably due to him walking away at this point. The place was practically empty and it took over 30min for the food. My daughter ordered a burger which didn't come with condiments and they weren't on the table either. It took another half hour before the waiter checked on us again so I ended up gettting and taking ketchup off another table. The food was good for the price.

Three visits to Chucks Roadhouse. We enjoyed every visit. Great food selection at awesome prices. Cold beer great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Highly recommended by this group. See you soon. Definitely worth checking out.

A fun sports bar with great prices, game time atmosphere, cheap beer and decent food. The place to go for the game or a lunch with friends.

Good food good value and great prices. Definatley you order more things then u might normally because the prices are affordable. The steak was cooked just right.

Excellent service, food quality, portion size and preparation. This Chucks is the best in the area. It is in the Costco area of Kitchener. It used to be a Boston Pizza. They have totally revamped. Huge big screens, get in and out in good time. Love this place.

Service good today but than it wasn't busy so I was happy about that. The owner just responded that the service is good when they are busy as well. That's 100 percent false. Every single time I've gone to meet friends when it's busy the service is awful. How about during the leaf game a few Saturdays when I went and it was busy my steak didn't show up in 45 min and my whole group finished their food so I asked where my steak was.her response was that the kitchen sent it out. I asked her if she remembers giving my food to me because I haven't eaten yet.she said she doesn't remember and than said I will re order it for you. I said no thanks since I've waited an hr. Can you order me a pound of wings instead and hopefully it will arrive. I wasn't given one apology at all.only a it wasn't my fault. I meet at that loc action because we live around the region and that is halfway. Now I only go when it's slow and I belly up to the bar because there are always barkeeps standing there. Just re did this review so that you know more staff is needed during peak hours.

Food is good for the price. But why are Chucks restaurants always so cold? ! We've been to both Kitchener locations and I froze both times. Last night I wore my winter coat the entire time. The chili was pretty good and did warm me up some. Husband and son had burger and fries- nothing was spectacular but good for the price. Our server was really busy but was really nice and bubbly; I wish I'd taken note of her name so I could give her a shout out. It was her first week and she did a great job

I was having dinner today at Chuck’s roadhouse and a lady got sick in there I could not believe how well the staff took care of her until the ambulance and fire crews showed up awesome staff awesome management way to go chucks

Awesome food, great service, friendly staff. The food arrived fast and was hot and fresh. The server was very attentive and helpful. My group of 3 was seated, finished dinner, and leaving in about an hour, although I would have gladly stayed longer. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal at a very fair price
