Chuck's Roadhouse Bar & Grill

My wife and I went to Chucks Roadhouse in Welland and decided to split an order of the Chicken Quesadillas as a starter. It was really delicious. As for our main meal my wife had the Philly cheese steak with Chucks BBQ Sauce on the side. She found the sandwich ok, but also said the bun was flat in shape and it could have had a better style bun. I had the Peppercorn Steak with goat cheese done medium with Chucks BBQ Sauce on the side. I'm do not like to use BBQ Sauce while cooking my steak. I was not impressed, even with the peppercorns on it I found the steak was bland. I thought there would be some other marination of spices as it was being cooked. The steak also didn't taste charbroiled, but like it was grilled on a flat top. I had steak sauce on the side and it still didn't really taste all that great. Very disappointed! Well I was contacted by Chucks Roadhouse Welland after this review. They wanted me to send a copy of my dinner receipt to there email, and I gladly sent a copy of my receipt. It's December 21 and I have never heard a response. I have to say I have eaten at other Chucks Roadhouses in the area and never had a problem with the food. I have decided to take another star away due to a lack of customer response from Chucks Roadhouse Welland.

Me and my lady came to this chuck location and order Wings and the quesadilla.when the meal came.the food was cold.we eat 1.5 quesadilla slices and left 3.asked to have everything returned since it was to cold to eat.the waiter came back and said her manager Kristy is charging us half price for quesadilla because we eat 1.5 slices lol. I'm so disappointed with the service.who eats cold food.no one.decided to leave. Kristy yhe manager should have no charged us for the cold food.it's not our fault.

Went here last night. Took a very long time for my partner and I to even be acknowledged at the door while waitresses walked by not saying anything. Ordered the wings rings and fingers as well as the nachos. Nachos were seemingly fine, however, the wings rings and fingers gave me food poisoning. Chicken must have been undercooked or left out unrefrigerated for a substantial amount of time. Still feeling awful today. Will not be going back.

Went to the one in Welland last night for dinner with friends. The service was extremely excellent. I had Montreal Smoked meat and really enjoyed it. My wife had a turkey club and she loved hers. We will definitely be back

It's always cold everytime I go into the Welland location.my food gets cold too fast and the food should always be consistent but it's not. Also our extra plates and some wrapped utensils came to us dirty.
Otherwise, the waiters are super nice and staff is friendly.

During our visit, Chuck's premises were quiet, with just about 4 tables occupied. There was no line, and we had an interaction with the staff immediately. The staff was all smiles and friendly.
My Canadian Beer was totally awesome and chill. But the burger meat was not juicy enough as it should be.
Anyways overall, it was a good experience for me to be in Chuck's at Welland from London.

Good service and great food! This time had the steak, it was great! Prices are quite reasonable compared to some places!

Took forever to answer the phone, then food was 15 mins longer than they said, and it was average

Staff is super attentive, kind and provides a bunch of options. Food was actually really good and surprisingly the meat was at the right term. A couple of beverages came few minutes late and that's why 4/5 but other than that everything else was good. I lived that they have some cocktail with Clamato and it's saucea. Similar to Michelada? ️

Great place! Even though they were very short staffed, you wouldn't know it. Food came out in a timely manner, and was very tasty. Server was great with the kids too. Would definitely come back!

Awesome food, atmosphere, staff, and reasonable enough to get to go back for more than just a special occasion dinner. Highly recommended.

Talk about night and day vs Fort Erie. Food was great, our server Hayley was Fantastic! One small hiccup and it was promptly fixed.

If I could give a zero I would, my husband and I went for drinks and a couple apps. We ordered 2 Caesars, when we received the drinks the celery has rotten spots one worse then the other (I wish we took pictures to show how gross the celery was). We asked for the drinks to be returned and then informed that the drinks will not be removed from our bill. The waitress told us the bar tender wanted to talk to us about it, we also asked to speak to the manager. When the bar tender/manager came to talk to use, she argued with us saying nothing was wrong with the celery and the drinks will not be removed. Instead of just apologizing and removing the drinks for the bill and still getting the rest of order then ended up with no service and now a bad review. I highly recommend not going to this Chuck's, I have only had bad experiences and I have only been to this restaurant twice.

Service was terrible got their at 5: 30 still at 6: 40 there was no food still so we left. People came in after us got service and ate their food and then left and we were still waiting. The waitress didn't seem to care I ask to speak to management and she said oh ur orders up next but we got up and left to say the least we won't be going back ever again.

Call the Welland location 3 times today rang till voice mail came on, informat by computer it was full. Since we were out and about, we dropped in to see about reservations. Stood at front entrance 15 minutes. 2 people behind bar talking to each other, turned their backs when we made eye contact. Waitress and went into kitchen, came out and started talking orders without acknowledging my presents. Dont know if food is any good, staff wasnt.

I just realized why I stopped going to Chucks, what restaurant does not have ground parmesean to sprinkle over your pasta? Or ground pepper instead of a pepper shaker? The Chicken Parma that I ordered the sauce tasted like Ragu out of a can.

I have been here a few times last time I ordered Chucks Burger, they were skimpy on the french fries and said that that was the portion.

The bar tender was a real nice person. This place has the potential to do much better. The chef who does the steak needs to know that it is not meat that people really eat as meat has no taste so it would do good to shop around for a nice tasting seasoning to put on the darn steak rather than serving us this bland tasteless piece of meat. My fries was also very cold and dry so please take some lessons in proper preparation of french fries. Dont forget you only get one chance to create a first impression. It was our first time and my wife said she would never return and that's bad for business.

Not enough staff hired for the amount of restaurant goers. This place is jam packed every Thursday with sports playing and cheap beer and apps which makes for an awesome atmosphere. Buttttt there's barely any staff so you're waiting a while to place an order and to receive your order. My friend got nachos, they seemed as though they were old and left out from a previous order that had been thrown in the microwave for 30 seconds. Waiter was very pleasant, said he would have them make a fresh batch. I would recommend this place to people who are looking to have a drink and watch sports over the telè.

We went out for dinner this evening March 5th, 2022. It was my first time there. We ordered a Porterhouse steak with fries and a Filet mignon with fries, the food was very good. Chelsea our waitress was absolutely amazing. She catered us with anything we needed. We will be back again soon!

Waited an hour for food that was not good at all.the montreal smoked meat was so dry 2 person did not finish, 2 peaple ordered fish which was 1/4 inch flat and dry.another person ordered chicken tacos awfull.steak were ok.service was good but the place was noisy.

Dirtiest glassware I have ever seen. Zero covid enforcement. Maskless staff. No sanitizer. The waitress who took our order was abrupt and abrasive. I understand there is a cost for cheap dining but wow. I wish there was less than one star. Not surprising that when I look on public health they had issues two days ago when inspected.

First time there but not in a hurry to return. The waiter was OK but service could have been better. Coffee was way too strong. Food slightly over cooked and some extra items were never delivered as asked for. Taste was acceptable.

The %3 "honest to goodness" fee isthe most dishonest fee I've ever been charged and I don't understand how it is legal

Worst meal I’ve ever had in welland. Ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich and it was cold, only had a little bit of bbq sauce on it and the fries were so under cooked you could see the raw potatoe inside. People told me it was terrible but I had to try it out. Never again

Great food, good prices. 1/2 price appetizers after 9 pm.always had good service when I go there.

I normally order through skip the dishes once or twice weekly. Usually great, but when they're off it's a disaster. Gotta garlic bread that never saw the inside of the oven. Cold unmelted garlic butter on the outside. Never get a response when there's a problem. Not sure anyone cares.

First time at Chuk's Roadhouse. Great prices! Good steak options and equally good portion sizes. My meal came with fries and a piece of corn. It would have been nice to have a veggie option.other than corn. Plate was a little bland looking and too many carbs. My steak was a little overdone but still edible. I hear the fish and chips are good so I might try that next time.

Beer was flat. Service was poor. Bartender seemed more interested in talking to coworkers sitting at the bar. Off duty staff sitting at the bar were speaking poorly about a patron. Really soured the experience.

First time to visit this restaurant, but not the last. Both greeters were very friendly and seated us quickly into a comfy booth.
Jessica, our server was helpful, cordial and knowledgeable regarding steak items.
My friend and I both had the New York steak and both were cooked to perfection and hot.

I’ll never eat here again. I ordered cheeseburger with fries and about 6-7 hours later I started to get really sick and I was throwing up all night into the morning. I only ate oatmeal prior to going to chucks so it was clearly bad food.

Great dinner. Jessica was awesome. Always polite and fun. Our steaks were done to perfection. Thank you.

Went to Welland's Chuck's Steak House last night for the first time. There were four of us and our server Carrie took amazing care of us. We all ordered a steak and we were not disappointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Special shout out to Carrie. She was cheerful and gracious to four seniors who shared some pretty corny jokes with her. She is a great asset to Chuck's staff.
We'll definitely be returning.

I am sorry to say we went here for the first time today. I don't know why we waited so long. The service was fast and friendly. We both order the 7 oz.steak medium rare. Done to perfection. Tender and full of flavor. My only complaint was the fries. They could have been a little better. If you want baked potato you have to go after 4. The butter garlic rolls were very good. Will be going back again. Hope we have room for dessert next time. Maybe I will try the ribs.

First order I got a burger and Caesar salad. See pics for the disgusting brown lettuce in the salad. Burger was OK. Second order my son and I both got the Buffalo chicken sandwich and fries. Again the lettuce on the sandwich was brown (no pics that time). The bun seemed stale, the chicken was thinner than a McDonald's pattie, and the fries weren't great either. Never again, sorry. If the person making/serving salads and dressing burgers doesn't realize that brown lettuce is disgusting, then what else are they doing to their food?

Came in for lunch yesterday and have no desire to come back. Our server was consistently not wearing her mask while at our table.
At some point both servers we saw weren’t wearing their masks while on the floor. Even Witnessed a server carrying guests food without wearing a mask and processing a payment.
I understand that masks are annoying but It was very uncomfortable for myself and my elderly parents, we will not be returning.

Worst meal ever eaten at this location. We always get the steak and lobster but wanted to try something new. We got the cheese burger and fish and chips. The burger was rock hard, the bun was stale. The fries and gravy were ice cold and our server was ridiculous. Three different waitresses asked us if we ordered other food and did we get it. I had to ask my waitress 3 times to get my ceasar drink which came with no rimmed top and that's my favourite part. She took back our fries and gravy and said she just microwaved them to get them warm. Disgusting and we will never go back.

We were leery about going here after the disaster of a visit to the one in st Catharines (which we'll never go to again) the staff, food and service here was excellent.
