I pick up food there once or twice a month, usually pretty good there. What a complete miss on what I picked up today, dry rice with little flavour, undercooked chicken that I had to throw out. What a complete miss. Threw out 2 whole chickens.

I ordered 2 half chicken meals at this place and when I got home which is 3 minutes away when I started eating the chicken was cold so I went back to tell them about it and the lady that I spoke to which I think she’s a manager she was very rude and basically called me a liar she says that they take the chicken all off the grill yeah they show you the chicken on the grill but they give you stuff that’s already premade and cold. I didn’t even get an Apology and instead she asked me for proof. What a joke this place is

Has limited seating, mostly take out crowd at time we were there. Food was very authentic and tasty. Would diffently order again.

Everything is so good, even the Portuguese tarts that they sell are incredible. The only thing is that this place is a bit expensive. Also they need bigger containers for the hot sauce

I am very disappointed, I used to love this place. I bought 2 chicken - No flavour at all, the chicken was raw, I had to put it in the oven for 30 mins. There is no difference in between Swiss chalet and costa verde except for the price.

Wrong place if you are a big Portuguese chicken fan!

Great tasting Portuguese BBQ chicken. Whenever I'm in the area and I want a quick meal, I pass by here. Prices are reasonable and the food tastes excellent.

Hands down, the best Portuguese place! This is the only place I go to … have tried many Portuguese places, BUT only Costa’s chicken tastes like BBQ and their rice is to die for! I get cravings for it!

Fix your prices. Shouldn't advertise something online then come into the store to find out it's twice the price.

The best Portuguese chicken I've had in Vaughan, a great place for lunch and dinner, super filling and worth what you're paying for. Make sure you call and order ahead for the grilled chicken, depending on the time of day you may have to wait for the chicken to be cooked.

By far the best place for Portuguese chicken. Never had a bad experience here, food is always fresh and tastes great.

Order ahead of pick up, as this little place is busy. Big orders can delay yours. Usually friendly taking orders, just depends who you get. Food is behind glass, but they cut your chicken right next to the cashier before packing it. Dessert/custard tarts. Overall, good tasting chicken (sometimes dry) with decent side dishes. Recommend.

Food wise this is a 5. But I will have to drop my rating to an average 4 because of the wait time (45 minutes and called ahead.so a bit long). Value for money was good (We feed 10 adults for about $140). Overall this and one of the best churrasquiera I've been too.

Lots of whole chicken roasted so lot of smoke, the exhausts may be not enough. Very popular and there is line up but good service.

First time at Costa Verde. Ordered whole grilled chicken, fried assorted seafood, potatoes, rice and pastel de nata. Everything was really good. The service we really fast and friendly. The fried assorted seafood was the family's favourite and the pastel de nata reminded me of our trip to Lisbon a few years ago. Will be coming back again to try the other items on the menu.

I tasted the first potato and thought, Naw. I can bet this will be my only time here. Oh was I ever wrong! This was after trying everything else I ordered, (Grilled Chicken, Oven baked Cod fish and Rice) This is now my new favorite take out restaurant for this type of cuisine. I can't wait to try everything else on the menu. Compliments to the Chef and the speed of the staff, Close to zero wait times. Truly Impressive!

Just went for the first time on a Sunday afternoon after being on the road since 5am.

The restaurant was really busy but the staff were all doing a great job at communicating with each other and providing prompt and friendly service to all of their customers. They were working like a very well organized team.

The staff took the time to answer some questions for me regarding ingredients since I have some allergies and they were so paitent and polite even though it was in the middle of a dinner rush. Much appreciated.

My husband and I usually travel all the way to Hamilton for our "Just like home" Portuguese chicken & potatoes but looks like we will be adding Churrasqueira Costa Verde to our list of faves!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. You have some great staff, service and food!

After a long day of work, i just wanted to eat anything and i wanted to try this place for the first time. It was way better than i was expecting and made my day. Super delicious and big portions!

Great spot for Portuguese style chicken along with potatoes, grilled eggplant, rapini and a bunch of other goodies! I got the half chicken with extra sauce and it was delicious, the potatoes were cooked well and usually I am not a fan of eggplant but these guys know how to make them well! Check them out

I went there yesterday, sep 17 at 11: 30am, at the major McKenzie location. I asked the lady that was at the front to please give 1 whole chicken with 2 sides and I asked her if she could put 1/4 chicken in a separate container because I have a broken hand and it is very difficult to do it myself, she didn't answer and at the end she didn't do it. When I went to pay, seeing that she didn't do it I didn't even ask her why, she was very rude, so I ask a small container to try to put the quarter chicken myself and she said no, containers are only for combos.
I understand people follow rules, but when someone needs help, likes in my case, with a broken hand and a cast, also buying a full chicken with 2 large sides, not just getting something small, and ask for a small container with a value equal to cents, that is when you see the real people and customer service here was 0 out of 10, I like the chicken but never again I will come back to this location

Been coming to this location many years, but this will be the last time! Made an order at 8pm, told it'll be ready 8: 50. Get in at 8: 45 they totally forgot what we ordered, got out of there by 9: 20. When we got home chicken was correct, but sides were smalls rather than larges, and charged us full price.

Best part is, the chicken was so greasy after the fact. Like literally about "1/4 deep bottom of the pan was grease. I remember the good ol' days with the old location on keele and the quality of the food being great, lately not so much. It also depends on who's cooking it. If it's regular staff/owners (the two brothers) it's normally fine, but when it's the younger group, expect mistakes.

So far I have not found a place with better chicken than this. And I mean, it's not just the chicken. Even the people are to good. Great food and staff.

Staff is rude and prices are not inline with UBER eats. I picked up food here and paid more because I ordered ahead. The chicken is rubbery and undercooked. There’s much better places in the area to go.

Like going here when I don't have time to cook, the grill chicken it most better then NANDOS, the price its you pay it comes with large amounts of food, in NANDOS you pay to much for so little

Ordered a full rotisserie chicken with 2 sides. My rotisserie chicken was dry and very crispy.too well done! Could not eat the majority of it, but eatable parts were good. Hot sauce on point with the rice and potatoes flavourful. If I decide to order again, I will ask that I don't get a well done whole chicken.

Used to be good! Not anymore at all. Chicken is not cooked well, unprofessional staff, not wearing gloves, won’t go there again, they don’t care about their customers, they used to be friendly but when they got busier, they don’t anymore

Have been going here for a while now. Their staff is courteous and the restaurant is very clean. Their chicken is unreal. Probably the best Portuguese chicken in the area. I usually get the half chicken or full chicken if I'm getting it for the family. Their sides are super fresh as well. I love their cranberry quinoa and Mexican corn salad.

Delicious food! Understandably they are super busy at peak times but it's worth waiting for! By fair the best Portuguese place I've ever purchased from.

Make sure you call ahead or you'll be stuck waiting in line. It's worth it, but you can be more efficient with your time.

This spot always delivers. They serve awesome food for convenient pricing, there is no waiting time even when the spot is packed.

The food is decent and price is cheap but that goes with the quality of customer service.very poor. Trying to place an order over the phone on a holiday is the worst. They give you different information. When I asked to speak to the Manager (Derek) he told me off and hang up the phone. Understandably they want to go home earlier, there is no need to be rude. All I wanted to say to the Manager was to make sure all his staff provided consistent information.

We frequent here for both food at home and for work. Staff are very friendly, and of course all the food tastes great

This chicken is my favorite in the area. This place is great when you have no food in the fridge and craving some great take out. This place is always busy so order in advance and then give it some time before you pick it up. Small restaurant so pick up is probably your best bet. I have never ordered anything other than the chicken, rice and potatoes.

Highly recommend this place for take out.

Even though they are bad with their organization and taking orders. The food is still the best Portuguese in Vaughan. You can order for a certain time but bank on it not being ready unless it is a very large order. But still where I go get my rotisserie chicken.

Over priced average food. Lots of salad choices but they are all from a Summerfresh bucket! Restaurants should make there own food.

Delicious Portuguese barbeque, prices here are a little above average than other places, but the food was well worth it. I loved the half chicken, the skewers are also good, as well as the fish! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Great food but the service is VERY slow. I think they were working on a large catering order at the time and everyone who walked in and ordered had to wait at least 45 min for their food.

Very authentic portuguese style cuisine. Wish they would open a location closer to Barrie. Or even Bradford as it would be closer.

This Portuguese restaurant honestly makes amazing food, the grilled chicken is so tasty and fresh. The customer service is also great, and the price is good. I will definitely recommend it to all my friends and family.
