CIBC Branch with ATM

45 year client at this Kitchener CIBC Main Branch.
Back when this bank’s every office was filled with competent bankers who cared about their clients’ financial success.
It’s now a historic ghost building, a waste of space on every floor. With a pretend security guard playing on his cell phone under the desk at the entrance.

Can’t find the words to describe the incompetence, poor client relations.
How many people do you need standing around the only teller with a lineup of clients waiting?
It’s like Walmart trainees are running the bank now.
I’d imagine they’d at least know how to answer the phone.

After four and a half decades, I will NOT close my account, but dear CIBC, you won’t make any money on me, my family, nor friends until some serious changes are made.

Terrible service, My husband and I have an account there and this day he wanted to open the account for our son, he came asking for information on what documents he needed and they sent him to a guy hindu that my husband couldn't understand what he was saying with his terrible and rude English. Because together with the security guard he was left laughing at my husband. Thank God he was able to open my son's account in another bank with a very polite guy. Bad Service with this hindu people.

Here's an idea: have more than ONE teller working. Especially when you have a giant lineup of people. Some of us have chronic illnesses where we can't be standing around for an hour just to do a 5 minute transaction. And no, this wasn't something I could use the ATM for.

ATMs are SET UP to be accessible 24/7 (they are in their own "ATM Area") but the doors to the ATM Area are locked, unfortunately. It's very frustrating when one has ATM banking to do outside of working hours (in ny case, 7am) and it cannot be done.

ATMs are located inside a solarium, just after the first set of doors and before the second set. Why not leave the inside doors locked while unlocking the outside doors, so patrons have access to the ATM 24/7?

My low rating does not reflect the service people nor how the bank is set up internally- just thr shoddy set-up of the ATM Area.

I am extremely happy with the customer service in this branch.
I had a very bad banking service experience with another CIBC branch. So, I came here and they resolved it. The employees are patient and knows their job.
Only drawback is parking space. I think they have only 4 or 5 spots.

I visited this bank for the first tym…. The staff members are very helpful nd greeted us with smile when we entered inside…. Krystle helped us in setting our account nd she was so patient nd helpful during the whole tym…. I really appreciate her

The parking space is a difficult thing to find when it comes to kings street. Gets the job done though.

This branch has great customer service. The staff are friendly, helpful, and patient in explaining whatever you need. I took off 1 star for the summer because I don't recommend this branch for longer meetings since they barely have any air conditioning.

50+ minutes in line, one teller working (at a snails pace) and 3 other employees walking around trying to look helpful. Terrible example of customer service on a very busy day (april30)
No customer service or consideration evident today. The branch manager should be aware, it was never this bad. In a pandemic get your act together and don't keep people waiting in lines and remind your staff that without the customers there is no bank!

Poorly organized branch. Did not inform customer who booked a meeting when the branch is temporarily closed. Always call them before you physically go to the branch.

Very friendly best bank In town been with this bank almost 20 years could not be happier with the service.

Only ever use atm. Not my main branch. I understand its hard when you have an area open to the public during hours when no one is there. Ive seen a security guard at times no one is having issues. The herassment from people asking for money directly as you take it out, is uncomfortable for me, a 31 year old man. Almost came to a real issue 2 nights ago. Considering elderly people, young girls, may want to use your atms at night.i know its not easy but, do you want to have something horrible happen before you make a change?

No cash on hand in the branch and no option to get $5s or $10s out of the machine. Other banks have the technology to let you pick your bills, but until then it would be nice to have the option to get change at the bank.

Although the service providers are friendly and accommodating, but being this branch is understaffed there is always long and slow waiting line.

Was very satisfied with my service from Shelley. You can ask her anything as she has worked at this branch for more than 10 years

Absolutely useless CSR! Simple questions got answered with "I'm not sure" "I don't know" "I suppose so" "I think so", I made time in my busy schedule to drop by rather than call in to apply for a CC. I've been told by the girl (not a teller) that it only takes between 1-2 business days to know whether you are approved or not and they will either call me (she checked my current phone number) or send me an email to let me know. Day 4 and no contact. The entire visit to this branch was a big dissapointment that day! Waste of time.
Perhaps you should screen your employees properly and only keep ones who are usefull professionals.

Now that being said, I am a client of this branch but am banking with other banks as well. I've only made exactly three trips to this branch and the first two were very pleasant. Both employees were helpfull. The teller lady with was more helpfull I have to point that out!

Last visit was a shocker and an eye opener. Who has the time to do business with such unprofessional personnel? !

Also the parking is a nightmare
