I would give minus if there were a option
Because they showed 9: 30 opening time and there were only one employee holding 17 people in a row and so slow service online and in person as well. Worst bank ever and employees are so rude specially who are on higher post and have individual space area they are supposed to be help the customers but they just sit and made you resolve your problems by yourself then why do we even come to the branch?

Extremely slow, not enough tellers, when the tellers were available they were conversing with other tellers without taking the next customers. I waiting almost 56 minutes in line.

I was in bad trouble and eh kudi always two hundred next week the appointment then lay ready ho jandi aa.

I had an unpleasant experience with Vikas Dutt. During my interaction with him, it became evident that his primary focus was on selling products and pushing me to use his contacts for certain services, rather than addressing my inquiry in a professional manner. I had simply come to inquire about the services offered, and I found his approach to be unprofessional and pushy. Based on my encounter, I cannot recommend his services.

Yesterday 17 July 23 around 8.20 pm I was at hurontario and steel branch it was scary to go inside bank as two people had made shelter near entrance of bank.one security car was also in parking lot I request security that I am scared to enter in bank and I use drive thru for banking my question is any one can sleep near door around 8 pm?

Absolutely disgusting! Extremely rude, the fact that bank tellers do not speak English with clients. We are in Canada, and the official languages are English and French, not Punjabi and other languages.
They take it a step further and offer services in foreign languages. Its disgusting that they do not value the country language and are so disrespectful.

Even the the manager don’t seem interested to resolve the simple request for address update.
Before coming to the branch, I called the call centre, he advised me to visit the branch

Having the worst experience ever, no one gives the exact answer to the query and always provide the helpline number which is of zero use as they most of the time place you on the hold or transfer you from department to department. It’s been more than a month and I’m still struggling with my accounts which is randomly placed on hold by the bank without any reason.

CIBC is Canadian variant of India's SBI. Their online customer care said they accept INR and AED in exchange to CAD, after waiting in the never ending queue at the branch kiosk they declined saying they don't do money exchange.

This is worst bank in canada i deposit my bussiness cheque somehow cheque got return broker give me same amount certified cheque and i deposit again so they red flag my account without any notice to me now im going to deposit my other cheque they wont accept and i cant take out my money even i cant pay my visa bill i ask manager they said you account red flag talk to guy name aditya singla 2morrow next day i got call from aditya he said from overnight your account start working when your certified cheque will release now everything is done but still my account is not working and guy not picking up my phone please i request everyone please dont open your account here there is much better banks here now i dont know how to remove red flag from my account from bank nobody contact me either

Branch is suppose to open at 9: 30 and we could see the employees standing around and having a meeting but they didn’t open the brand until 9: 40 after their meeting ended. Shouldn’t internal meeting be held ahead of time? Disappointed! They don’t care about customers.

Never open account with this bank. Staff is very rude. Specially manjeet and angad. They don’t know how to deal with their customers. I had some issues with my account about 2 weeks ago. And i visited CIBC branch 7-8 times. Whenever I visit, most of the time, their staff is on leave or on lunch.

One of the best financial advisors that I have dealt with is Indu Khanna. Very straight forward and to the point and keeps your best interest in mind. And when it comes to dealing with a CSR, Ramnik exceeds all your expectations. Very polite and respectful. She asks all the right questions and makes sure that all your banking needs are met.

Tushar Thakar should not be dealing with the public, he is very rude and aggressive and doesn't know how to speak to customers in a respectful manner, this rating is only referring to him If I could give no stars for him I would. Overall my service with this bank has been good.

I just called the customer care number today and i was responsing to him but he was just showing attitude to me like “I didn’t get any response or i will help the next customer waiting on telephone line. ”
His name was vijay. Like he was too rude to customers. He should know how to deal with customers. Like if you are getting a job to help people then you should help them out regardless showing attitude to them.

A very unprofessional & rude staff at this Branch investigating like only they can offer the best banking & only single bank in Canada, a very complex identity required system as compared to other banks even I closed my accounts. Don't recommend at all CIBC. A very bad behaviour it's not a bank but a police station.

This is the worst location! Customer service.what customer service? ! I dealt with Eva Bose and Indu Khanna to re finance my mortgage. What a mistake! So regret this! Took over a month and still on going! After signing papers and everything was finalized, on the day of funding they then realized that they needed another document.called me at 5pm to ask stating their lawyers made a mistake and needed this. I was so mad. We signed everything and on the day of funding the realized the missed something. The refused to release the funds. Was supposed to be done in the 19th. Even manager Mohammed Arshad was of no help. Kept apologizing and asked what he can do to compensate. When I told him I’m not paying the legal fees because of his lawyers negligence, he stated he couldn’t do that. Then why ask what you can do for me? !
Eva them sent me and email stating release of funding is on condition that they receive this document. I told her to email me the sign doc stating this that we signed when we finalized everything. She then proceeded to send me a letter their lawyer sent her, dated Apr 8th, asking for the document. Nothing to do with release of funding or a doc we signed. Furthermore, this only shows her incompetence as she got this since the 8th. We were in there signing the docs last Thursday and nothing was said about this. The checked and said they got everything! This only show how they are total incompetence and she just incriminated herself.
Calls to the two branch managers Mohammed and Kam has gone unanswered.emails sent to them with no response. Still, funding hasn’t been released!
This is the worst bank! These people don’t know what they are doing! Total frauds!
I’ve been with CIBC for over 30 years.not this branch and I’m so devastated with the treatment I’m getting from this branch.
BEWARE. DO NOT GO TO THIS BRANCH FOR ANYTHING!

Worst bank and branch. They don't update information not even the signature and they do the things which make us to travel to the main branch. There problems always waste the time and money and the problems are such too will make you stuck at emergency times just because there staff has not updated the information.
Don't open account here and don't open account in this branch and bank as there staff never supports you.

I had an appointment with Simran Samra, he was a very genuine and straight to the point type of guy. He hooked me up with a great credit card that met my needs, if you're looking to get any new account or credit cards, I 100% recommend booking an appointment with Simran.

Huge Bank branch with lots of employees. There was no rush but due to Covid they go through appointments. I went to activate my GIC account, and my appointment was between 2pm-3pm, I reached earlier and wait till 2pm as another couple has their appointment before me. After that we were attended at 2: 15pm and it took just 15 minutes to Madam Indu Khanna to open my account and she explained everything very professionally, and I even take help from her by Call on difficulty with my account, and she always helped me with a smile.

I had seen bad ratings of all CIBC banks but I didn't feel nothing like that when visited there.

Generally I don't write review comments. This is first time writing review with very very worst experience in this branch. I opened account online. Few days later, visited to this branch with required original documents for verification. This branch teller (Lalita) said "all documents are verified and set. I am good to go". I gave my account details to employer. When my employer was depositing my salary, it did not go through. I called customer service and customer service said my account is selected as "No entry Allowed". Visit nearest branch and ask to take off this option to allow incoming money transactions/deposits. How can bank teller forgot to take off this option as a part of document verification? This is such a basic knowledge as a bank teller. I visited again and another teller (Indhu) rectified this problem. Still I missed my salary to receive on-time and I wasted my time for visiting branch again to solve this issue which is not happened from my side. So I strongly don't recommend this branch to anyone. I don't want to give single start rating too to this branch.

I visit the bank and I meet Mrs. Lalita and my experience was very good with her. She help me my opening gic account. And the good thing is her behavior is too good. I preference to my friends if I want to open your account to meet her.

I met with lalita and had zero clue about whatsoever it was that i was intending on doing, but she guided me properly throughout the whole process and made sure i got exactly what i needed! Excellent customer service! Would recommend Ms lalita over anyone else 10/10!

I opened a account here with Lalita. I don’t know what she did. I suppose to get my GIC in account which never showed up.later when I went to the branch.they told me that my account will be under investigation.my suggestion.never go to Lalita.for opening new account and any other issues.she doesn’t know anything. Alway ask for professional person with experience.

Worst bank in brampton, when ever you go there’s a huge line up with 2 people working, If you ever need to do any banking here make sure you have 2 plus hours. I will be moving all my banking to TD bank.

It's very sad when a rep from the bank calls you and yells at your for being misinformed. Been trying to get my mortgage title transfered since March and it's now mid July. It's funny how they can blame everything on covid but what about CIBC reps calling me to ask me to get a new mortgage or take out at least $10,000 from my mortgage and they can do the title transfer over the phone in minutes. Do CIBC reps have side hustles going on? When something can be done within minutes over the phone, if they got commission? But if it doesn't involve commission it will take more than 4 months?

I dont know what's wrong with the CIBC banks. The service is so slow and the wait times are always 45min plus. I would not recommend this bank for any transaction. This makes makes you realize that your time is not valuable.

Went to deposit money into business account and I was forced to create a profile with bank and was asked to bring exact change.
Who the hell does that in this dan age.wait was about bit longer than expected.

I have been banking with CIBC since I moved to Canada in 2019, when I opened a business account, Mrs Indu Khanna has been so exceptional in resolving on issues I put to the bank branch, the staffs are great, but she is awesome in delivering her duties.

But lineups are usually long.
They had longer opening hrs but they just cut them down.
Check new opening hrs.
So expect longer lineups with new shorter opening hrs!
I hope that they do not change to this to cashless branches!

Poor customer service!
Had visited this branch with my friend who is an international student. He is brand new in Canada and wanted to activate his gic account. One gentleman asked us the purpose of visit and informed us to have a seat. After 5 minutes the same gentle man came to us again and said Mr Anand will take care of us but it will be long waiting period. Since my friend has no money in his hand and doesnt want to visit again for the same purpose we told him we are ready to be wait. He told us it will take at least 45 minutes. After 30 minutes two ladies came to us and asked why we are waiting, we told them the story. Then they told it will be hard for them to do it today and asked us to come the next day. I replied them they should have told us at the very first time but it was not the case. Then finally the climax of the story, Mr Anand came out from his cabin, and he told us that he won’t be able to do the activation that day because the bank is going to close in less than one hour. He has to attend some other appointments which he has already scheduled. He also told us some strange statements that he is the only person in that branch who knows how to activate gic account for the students and Sheridan college college students can activate gic in that particular branch only. Finally we were been forced to leave the branch with complete disappointment. I had a feeling of visting a SBI branch in India. Poor customer service!
Will never visit this branch again and won’t recommend to anyone!
