Duolikun Mureli (his supervisor is Sintlw Sivathasan) stood near the gate, had a bad attitude toward me over the phone on Oct 12,2023; it seemed the client owed him money. He was also very unprofessional and arrogantly provided an incorrect phone number. He insisted on asking me to call the number he gave and refused to provide further help if I did not.

He has poor knowledge of the bank system + poor communication skills with the client. Those qualifications should be listed in your job description for this position. I did not know how he got this job as a CIBC Financial Services Representative from his supervisor.

This branch is a joke
I've been trying to talk to someone for the last 2 days, leaving voice messages with my contact stating the urgency of the matter and up to today at 4: 00 pm, after leaving more messages today, no one had the decency of calling back
Oh, there's no use calling this branch, they never ever answer the phone, just a recording playing to leave a message
Tomorrow I will visit the branch to transfer all my funds to another institution.

The associate "Ahmad" is a really helpful guy. Unlike others, he actually listened to my entire issue and helped me resolve all my bank related issues, and stayed calm during my entire visit. Please hire more people like him, the other associate simply said - we cannot help you, but Ahmad actually did help.

Although I have been a Toronto resident, this has been my home branch for over 15 years. Exceptional customer service, knowledgeable staff and a “client first” attitude, sets them apart from the rest. A special shoutout to Shruti Mathur and Moksedur Rahman for their guidance and insights over the years.

The financial advisors and staff have no personality or soul. I would give them a -5 rating if I was allowed to. Please do not bank here! Banking here is akin to falling off a cliff in your life. They do not have any knowledge about tax and accounting for seniors. The worst staff members are Parth Patel, Bhavik Patel, Gillian Anderson, Sinthu whatever her last name is, Niloufar whatever her last name is, and Shruti Mathur. These people don't utilize their knowledge properly. It's not the bank's fault; it's the personality disorder that they all have.

When I go to the bank, I go to an Arab person named Muhammad or Ahmed. I do not remember the name. Good. He is a very nice young man, helpful and quick in service. Thanks to him. I like to complete my transactions there.

Horrible garbage customer service, incompetent and ill mannered staff.
I never like going to this branch as mostly I’ve had bad experience with the staff at this branch. There’s no option as the Bristol Risd branch is completely closed and this branch is the only option left that is the nearest cibc branch.
Recently it was a disgusting experience with an extremely incompetent teller Jyoti. I literally felt harassed by her behaviour.
She needs proper coaching and training in banking and in customer service both.
Further what is more upsetting is that the manager Sinthu needs some better training in the bank procedures rather than supporting the flop staff. It’s extremely concerning!

I agree with all the negative reviews here unfortunately. It is sad for CIBC to know about this branch and has yet to do anything and letting.then get away with this type of service and treatment to the public. Very low standards when it come to customer service. I also witnessed radicalized treatment here and racial profiling attitudes.they denied a black young man what they allowed for a white male. They helped and went out of their way to service the white male when they turned away the black young. This was last year during Covid matters. I try to avoid this branch as much as I possibly can. It is a shame they can still get away with delivering type of service.

Michael attended to me and he was really courteous! Politely asked me to book a prior appointment online as all advisors were busy for the day. Although my work couldn't get done but experience was not bad at all. I don't get why people are writing such negative reviews. There's no boogeyman there 'OUT to get you'! Premises are spacious & clean, every visitor is being attended/listened to and I didn't find anybody misbehaving with anyone! Visit them without hesitation just remember to book an appointment online if you're gonna need an advisor

I dealt with Terry Willis and she was the most amazing person to be with. She went out of her way and gave the best rates possible. I was very satisfied with her professionalism and her willingness to help and go one step ahead. Way to go. CIBC needs more employees like Terry Willis.

Very bad service don’t ever think to go there and meet Terry or Von you will just wast your time, terry very unprofessional and rude very make sure you speaking with terry to be strong cause terry think he/she is a different person and above everyone.
And Von has no idea what is he doing in there he never ask for help so he will do what ever he wants

And when we keep asking for mangers non of them come out to speak to us because they are busy! Horrible service dont ever think to go there

Avoid this branch if you value your time. I picked up a new card from this branch a few months ago. I ordered it online and had to wait one hour in line just to pick it up. The service here is extremely slow and the staff are not well-trained. After I received my card, I called into customer service to activate it only to be told that the staff member at the branch forgot to activate it from their end first. I had to return to the bank for a second time and again, had to wait 40 minutes just to do something that should have been done the first time. A complete waste of my time.

Very unprofessional. No body can help a customer at all. Even already made a reuqest via in person witht the teller, the changes were never reflected. Very disappointed. They don't know what they are doing. Considering to remove all the asset from CIBC.

Very unprofessional branch. They will simply not answer the phone or return your call despite the urgency or several voicemail messages. The branch always has a line leading out of the building due to it’s lack of tellers. Horrendous experiences every single time.

I am surprised that for an established financial institution, none of three staff I spoke with were competent to understand that I was only in to change a check. I was turned away, even when I asked to speak with the manager. I was told that the government makes the rules, I was not able to change a check written on the Bank's name because I don't have an account with them. I had someone else call and they were told something different.

The most garbage and unprofessional branch I have ever been to in my life, the line is stretching almost to outside the bank and only 1 teller is working and she is the slowest teller I have ever seen in my life, no one at the front to ask what people need or if they even need the teller. I have been calling this location trying to book an appointment for weeks but no one ever picks up the phone. An employee named "Christy" or something along those lines finally picks up the phone today and promises a call back by end of day. But of course no one called me back. Poor customer service, save yourself time and bank with BMO, TD, Scotiabank or RBC.

I am a regular customer of CIBC for last four years and my experience has been excellent, but it was different yesterday, when I visited this location for some reason. Senior financial advisor Aneet dealt with me. No doubt she provided timely services but her way of dealing was quit ridiculous. She was frustrated and annoyed. Today again when I called her to confirm something, she talked very rudely. I never expected such behavior from a CIBC employee.

I dont know why some people have mentioned only negative reviews.

After reading those reviews i was lil worried to visit, Would like to share my recent experience here, i visited the place here with prior appointment and have been treated very well with services, products and very professional and most helpful staff member, particularily Staff members are so dynamic and energetic, explained me whole banking process and easy & fast application process which completed within 15 minutes.

Also I have visited the place thrice as of now for 3 different purpose and always I have very nice expeirience, staff members also offer you contact details to help if required offline!
Only best have to say about this branch! Probably best bank in canada!

Terrible location. Most of the tellers working here are half asleep and seem confused. This is the worst branch I have ever visited. Avoid this location if you want to save your valuable time.

Update:

The branch manager seems least bothered about horrible reviews this branch continues to get. The long waiting period is getting worst and there is NO improvement in customer service.

Perhaps someone at the head office of CIBC should wake up to resolve the issues highlighted above.

Further update:

The branch manager continues to sleep. The head office is least bothered. Still long lines and only two tellers who seem very confused and lost in their own world.

My suggestion is to CLOSE this branch.

Unhelpful Staffs:
Visited this branch for a bank letter for immigration (which TD provides for free). They charged me 17$, and even after a month I have not received the letter, no email, no call backs.
Sent email to the staff who processed my requested- NO REPLY, called multiple times- NO RESPONSE, always goes to voice mail which remains unanswered.
Certainly not the best customer service!

The waiting times at this location is INSANE. I purposely went here on a weekday and there were 4 tellers working, with only 2 people ahead of me in line. I still had to wait 25 minutes. I saw one female teller who walked to the printer at a TURTLE'S pace, like she was purposely trying to be slow. I almost wanted to bring out my timer to see how long someone can make a 5 meter trip last. Remarkable.

I do not understand why there are so many workers but no one wants to help at the front! Please hire more tellers or train the other associates to help during busy hours so people don’t have to waste over an hour waiting in line! This is such a busy location, I seriously do not understand what this branch manager is thinking!

I hardly take the time to submit reviews but As a business owner time is very important.dont go to this branch unless you need to waist 1 hour.thank God when we arrived there was no one in the line but it still took us over 1 hour to certify a check! She spent more time trying to explain every step she was doing rather than doing! I really felt sorry for the 10 or 12 people who fell in behind us.you can here the frustration in the line up.most of the waiting time was the teller leaving her station and trying to find a manager.one time was to track down a box full of stamps for the check.then returning them.unfortunately I may have to go back again as these are large checks drawn at this branch.try to avoid if all possible

Went for the first time at this branch although we read bad reviews. We did not regret at all because we had a great experience there. We were welcomed as soon as we entered and we were received by Faisal who was great with us! Highly recommend going there at CIBC and at this branch specifically.

I was a first time homebuyer and was referred to Peter Van Sluytman through a friend. He provided superior customer service despite being in a different province. He made the experience of buying a home seamless and painless. I would highly recommend Peter when looking for a mortgage.

Harry is manager (Haribaksh Singh Chhabra). He and his staff are terrible, Harry is an untruthful liar, to my face. They failed to offer me any semblance of service. I had to turn to a private third party. They seemingly did not know what they were doing. I provided all requested documents and then was faced with "can you give us this, can you provide us with that". Over 2 week period. So unprofessional, this is the first time they deal with customer? The staff talk and talk and talk, asking same questions 4,5 times over. I strongly felt this interaction was biased by racial prejudice.

I have had an excellent experience here. I don't know why customers are not happy at the branch. A few short comments:

1. They validate your parking
2. Allessandra helped us out with opening an Investors Edge account - he had great investment knowledge and also helped us with other unrelated matters, although he did not have to
3. Lucia at the teller station is fantastic - always has a smile and is extremely courteous, she will go out of her way to help out
4. Sissy (Anna) has on multiple occasions sorted our our issues with bank accounts, etc
5. Aqsa called us as soon as a safety deposit box was available, which we were waiting for. She was very proactive.

I would recommend this branch, and any of the above people.

Excellent service offered by Faisl Al-Atheri, Senior Financial Services Representative, to resolve a long outstanding problem. Faisl worked on the issue, kept us posted by email and finally resolved it. Great service.
