2 stars because ive had 2 good experiences with really nice and thoughtful employees. Ive been coming here for 8 years and let me tell you. This has to be the SLOWEST bank I've ever been to. The wait times are no shorter than 20 minutes. And that’s a very rare best. Usually i’m waiting here 45 minutes- 1 hour 30 min just to get service at the front desk. Absolutely brutal. Something really needs to be done about this location it’s ridiculous.

Worst experience with CIBC, I just applied for a credit card with them (no bank account) I had to visit the bank twice and couples of calls to their call centre just to activate this bloody card.

Make sure when they tell you that "you are good to go, your card is active now, " do a transaction in front of them to check. Only then do you leave a branch. Otherwise you will be disappointed.

As other people mention, Huge line up ad always, two out of four counters are working.

No tellers.such poor customer service. Why u don't have tellers to serve customers.there are some things that need to be done by people. My husband was told to go back as there were no people to work.

Being a student and opening my first account I wasn’t expecting to get my turn this quick, but Kyle took us quickly after his lunch and answered all questions. We were so satisfied and he was very kind. Thank you Kyle, for making my first experience at the bank very enjoyable.

Great branch
They always nice and helpful, specially a lady Francisca. Even if is a long line, she try to direct or help you in the best way, so you spend less time in line. No so many cashiers so sometimes it's get a bit busy, but when is your turn they help you Zaan is also a great costumer service

Lady at the desk don't have to be rude - guy in front of me was just asking why it's taking longer. It's not his fault that you don't know what you are doing or you don't have staff. I am just surprised no one looks at these things at this branch. I just had to leave because long wait time and only 2 tellers open - no one comes out of the office to help out or anything

Very very rude. Was told by cibc MC to go into branch with ID and branch said there is nothing they could do. I have to call them back.

Worst branch ever. Spent 2 hours in line just to change address.
They should have more people at teller service who move the line little fast.
Its like wasting your saturday at CIBC if you chose to go over weekend. ️️

The only positive thing is the lady asking questions to speed up the line

We were told to wait outside the bank because they couldn't work fast enough to accommodate the amount of people. When the crowd chirped up that's it's chilly out we were told by the staff "well looks like you're all dressed appropriately so. ". Absolutely no need for that comment- you don't know what health issues people have such as arthritis or immune disorders. People want quick efficient service not the fashion police who claims people are dressed appropriately or not

The worst bank in Canada to have your account with. Once you open the account they forget who you are. No customer service. Would prefer RBC or TD than this bank.

Worst branch in the entire world. A representative refused to help me and started giving me attitude because my card wasn't working in the atm machine.

The worst customer service i have ever got in any bank. Asked me to wait 1 hour just to validate my information and didn’t even let me use washroom while waiting. The tailer spoke rudely. This is not how you treat customers.

Still waiting.see what happens…

I wish i could rate -5 star for this service.

Service is always fast, efficient and with a smile, makes an unwanted process of going physically to the bank, a very good experience. Big thanks to Kunal Barot, Mortgage specialist and Isha Sharma for going above and beyond with customer care.

I would avoid coming into this branch if possible. The lines are always super long, customer service is not too great and the manager seems very stuck up and rude. She laughed at me when I told her my current situation. Not really that nice considering you're the manager!

General manager Ron Chandra extremely rude senseless manager I have seen. He would close the door at 4: 42 and he won't let anyone anyone in. This location is the worst management I have seen in any banking branch.

Actually 0 star. Front dest attendent Bilal with 0 knowledge and high attitude. He kept asking for assistance for every small question I asked. After fedding up I asked for manager and other dumb personality Ron Chandra arrived with bigger attitude. They think they only have systematic branch procedures followed. This was my first and last visit to this branch.

Very lazy people in this branch. Took more then 30 minutes to deposit a cheque while only 3 customers were head of me in the queue

Drove to the branch in urgency just to figure that one ATM is out of service and the other 2 were disabled to take cash deposits. Do we live in 2021?

WORST LOCATION EVER!
useless staff and managers. Not helpfull at all.

I went to the Cibc location on Steeles got draft made under 5 minutes:)

I came to conestoga location. They want physical driving license. Because anyone can photoshop a license apparently.

I can enter my pin, show my driving license on phone, login into Cibc app but it's not enough they need a physical ID

Ps. If you get pulled over you can show cops digital driving on phone it's fine but not CIBC

Save yourself time and don't go to this useless staff

I understand there is protocol to be followed because of the pandemic, but for your security person to tell your valued customer to go use the ATM instead of going inside because the bank has no cash inside? I felt like I was being pushed out for some reason? Terrible experience

Wish could give a big zero. This branch frauded me. My wife used to work here and she trusted the manager and they misused us both. At the time of mortgage they promised my wife that they will give me line of credit.and i was in a rush and came to this branch they blindly asked me to sign papers as it was a line of credit.but at the time i recieved my first bill.i called the customer service they told me its a loan of 40,000 which i got on interest rate of 7.5% but
later after year and half they changed the rate to12%. Swont recommend

I wish I could give this branch a 0 star rating. I saw that it was rated only 2 stars or so from before but decided to pop in anyways thinking it couldnt be that bad.but boy was I wrong!

The branch manager, namely Rayan, refused to release a LAWYER'S DRAFT provided by TD down the street, with a TD receipt, with certification proof that I paid an extra $15 to do WITH the receipt proof of having paid for certification of funds.

MOREOVER TD was cooperating to make an exception to re-verify the draft and so we were told by Rayan to be seated to wait for him to fax the copy of the draft over to the TD branch so that TD can send back a fax confirmation.

We waited over an hour for this fax. It never came, we ended up depositing a certified, lawyers draft with receipts on a 5 day hold.

I called TD later that day annoyed that they made us wait so long for a fax and found out that the CIBC branch manager never sent a fax. TD was waiting for it and it never came.

This branch and the manager Rayan wasted my time and lied to my face.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. THERE ARE SO MANY BETTER BANKS OUT THERE.

People do not deserve to be treated this way. Especially when they're dealing with OUR money. Its not theirs, remember that!

Fyi: wasn't depositing into a new account either, have had CIBC account for years. There was no logical reason to hold the draft.

I went too get a a new bank card and the manager was rude and ignorant and refused to give me my debit card even though I had all my I’d. It was terrible customer service and something should be done. (I should point out that I called cibc twice and both told me they where in the wrong)

I just walked in to this branch for the first time and needed to transfer my rent money beacause I live in Alberta and was asked to sign a blank white paper to confirm my identity. The manager is very rude and unprofessional and I was asked why I came all the way from Alberta to Ontario. I have been to so many branches and this is the worst place where I was treated like a criminal. I called CIBC main office and also complaint. If you can avoid this place please do so. I wish I can give no star to this place. This manager also had some issues with family members who lives in Brampton. Because of her I am thinking of cancelling my account with CIBC.

I'm so disappointed, i went to this branch with 2 kids she told me wait, after15 mnt, she told me no body available.my first time and my last time in this branch. I can't believe it, poor service.they dont respect unprofissional and very rude

CIBC has gone down the drain. First they get rid of their tellers and gone automated at a lot of branches? What happened to customer service. And this Branch had only two tellers to serve 10 people.it took 25 minutes to get to the teller. Ridiculous. Is this what we pay fees for.poor service? I'll be looking to switch Banks. I went to RBC within 5 minutes I had a teller take care of me.
