CIBC Branch with ATM

Refused to serve me when I told them I had been a victim of fraud. They actually told me to call the bank to confirm my identity. Which makes absolutely zero sense because I have all my identification documents on me, including my passport and they are going to verify my identity over the phone without seeing my face? I told them that they wouldn’t be able to refuse me service after I booked an appointment with one of their representatives. So I just went through the app and booked an appointment instead. Don’t bother coming here for any kind of help. Just book an appointment and speak to the representatives

They are not professionals and they doesn't know anything about banking. They are not helpful.

The behaviour of the employees is totally unacceptable and they don’t have manners that how to talk with a customer.

I came in with my 81 year old grandfather cause his card became comprised and he was frauded. Nicola was SO great with us. Took us into a room and called the fraud bureau right away, sat with us through it and escalated it. This stressful situation for my immigrant grandfather was made so much better just with her kind service - thank you Nicola!

People at this branch are super helpful. I would really appreciate Mohammad Mukadam for helping me out with all the stuff!

It was a great experience with TITISHA DAS with whom I had the appointment. She was very helpful, informative and approachable. Got my account opened and she informed me about everything.
Great bank services

I really hate going into CIBC Leaside Branch. Employees walking around all over the place, one, two or three asking if the can "help" you. But, usually only one teller working and a line up of customers waiting to do something that they cannot do at the instant teller machine. It took me 25 minutes to get to a teller today! Very, very frustrating.
An update: November 2018
There has been some small improvement in service at this CIBC.the last few times I’ve been in, there have been two - or even three - tellers working.

This branch of CIBC seems to be a lot less busy after the pandemic. The standing around employees seem to have disappeared, and although there are almost no lineups of customers, there seems to be 2 or even 3 tellers somewhere behind the counter. Last two or three visits, I haven’t had to wait much at all.

I've been dealing with this branch for numerous years and there's a few things which I honestly love about the branch.
The staff is very friendly, same
familiar faces, but most important they know their stuff and are extremely helpful in
making sure your needs are
satisfied.

We invested a large sum of money at this bank, and was assured by David Milner that we would earn more over time. He said also that he would call, but that call was never came. We lost alot money in a short period of time. He was apologetic but that doesn't help for what we lost!

I wish I can give them 0 star terrible customer service with unprofessional teller especially the guy who sit on the left side Havana whatever is name is had weird attitude he thinks by doing his job he is doing a big favor to you I been giving them business for the past 4 year but not anymore I am gonna cancel my account from cibc though I know it's not cibc fault but still they should have professional staff period.

Terrible! They try to force you to use the ATM, dont they know they are putting themselves outta a job by doing this? Eventually they wuill all be unemployed and the machies run the bank

Wait time is long. Although some staff are helpful others are not. Too many verifications and quiet the hastle of just walking in. The service is old century not up to date or efficient. Manager does work well however too many policies that prevent smooth transactions or simple tasks to be done.
