I spoke to a CIBC customer service agent from the fraud department about a transaction, however the agent ended up telling me to call the other company and wasn't at all helpful. Even his communication skills were lacking. CIBC employ qualified candidates who won't harm your company's reputation. I was shocked to learn that I was speaking with a CIBC CSR and felt quite let down. Also submitting the review here because I don't know where to write a review for calls over the phone.

The teller was really nice and professional. The manager is one the worst. Visited the branch yesterday at 4.30pm. The manager should go and take some classes on customer service and should learn how to take care of the client.

Worse customer service ever experienced. Been trying to set up an appointment at branch for 3 days and only get voice mail. No return calls from bank even though their voice mail says they will return call by end of day. Will try to stop using this branch and close accounts.

Big Thumb Up to one financial advisor at this branch. His name is Ted. He was patient, knowledageable and transparent. I appreciate his service and highly recommend to everyone.

TL; DR: don't waste your time here.time needed to take out a draft to myself: 37 minutes
best question by manager of the day: do you understand English?
best part of the question: the manager is a visible minority just like I am
best part of service: insist of giving me a draft that's dated 2 days later just so they think they can my day a little worse

Call to get some help with a statement history that was needed urgently. The Manager answered the phone and was very kind and helpful. Fantastic customer service. Thank you!

I made an appointment in advance to make a new account, however I waited an hour and was not able to meet an advisor. The security told me to wait a few minutes since the advisor was with another client and never showed up. Such a waste of time. Just walked away since nobody seems to care. I will not go to this branch ever again.

A staff named Becky Wu, she's really unprofessional, terrible, and rude. Don't ask her to help, because she won't help you at all! By the way, she will promote wealth management products for her own performance. But be careful, don't trust her, because she won't have any after-sales service.

I wish I could give zero to couple of members there. I have had a good experience working with Hamed but my god worst representative are Becky and Embrose. I went there to contribute to Spousal RRSP and she was busy first (on a Personal phone call) then she said ok let’s help you and wasn’t sure how to contribute to rrsp, then she sent me to Embrose, he says first I have to transfer money to spousals checking account and then from there we will transfer to RRSP? Mr. Embrose you don’t need to have a checking account to receive RRSP contributions to spousal accounts (you should move money to a dummy account and then move to rrsp, that’s how your other experienced reps would do). So he is like Becky might help (she already asked for you help) and voila now Becky isn’t able to find the account because she doesn’t know how to enter phone no. Or d.o. B to find the account. I had account no. And she said I need spousal debit card and I am like if the spouse doesn’t have the cheqing account then how can I get debit card. We have opened the RRSP account in same branch and did the contribution earlier but I could not withstand them a minute more. I wish I could give zero rating. Omg, CIBC you need to hire some educated ppl not just by reference or someone knows someone.

This CIBC is mostly visited by the elderly between 9-11am and rif raff clientele midday. Most midday visitors are taking between 20-60 out of the machine and take the bus. I am never hanging around in the evening so Im not too sure how much dough people withdraw then.

Had wasted a lot of time in line and all the representative was rude and been talking to regular customers for minutes, didn't even realize they have other people waiting. Need to hire more. A complete negative on my review for this branch.

Always long lines as they are understaffed all the time. Would be nice if they'd at least turn on the air conditioning so I don't have to sweat while waiting in line. Also, they wouldn't remove the hold on my cheques even though I've been banking there a long time. I've been a CIBC customer for 25+ years and have an excellent credit rating. Other branches have been able to remove the hold.

Disappointed. They gave wrong information and proceed without my authorization (signature, PIN). Really scared me and their customer service said that sadly this branch made a mistake. Glad that the wrong unauthorized transaction was reversed. BUT I won't go to the branch again!

Very friendly staff from top to bottom. I go out of the way to bank at this branch. Waiting time is long sometime, I wish they open up more teller counters.

I am having a major issue with this branch and I am not getting any response! On Aug 29,2018 I have deposited money into my account ($1200 to be precise), the machine swallowed the money, was out of service for a minute and rebooted itself without depositing the money into my account (it's envelope free machine). I complained at the branch (will not be mentioning names here), they were helpful into calling the department that took care of such complains and I was given a reference number and was told that it needs maximum 10 business days. Well, it's been a MONTH, and no one even is telling me what's happening. I can't reach anyone. Customer service did nothing about it as they didn't even know the problem existed, the branch is not responding and I am waiting for my $1200 dollars! I hope this message will be responded to.
Every single employee that talked to me was extremely polite, I can't complain there. But when you need your money back, you just need actions rather than just positive attitude that gets me nowhere in this case.
