I had an extremely disappointing experience at CIBC Bank when I visited to address an issue with my non-functional card I explained to the representative that my card had stopped working because I accidentally left it in the washing machine. To my surprise, the representative insisted that it was a duplicate card, even though I had been using it without a problem for the past 6 months. Despite showing my ID, the representative demanded proof of my visa status, which I had readily available on my phone. However, she dismissively ignored it. This unfounded suspicion left me feeling unjustly targeted, as if I were a potential thief or fraudster.

Frustrated by the situation, I quickly returned home to retrieve the required documents, only to come back and find the representative providing a rude explanation for her own closed computer, which left me waiting in line. The overall service was deeply unsatisfactory, and I am now seriously considering switching to a different bank due to this exasperating experience. The cumulative effect of this disheartening encounter has left me seriously contemplating the move, especially given the troubling absence of any form of apology throughout the entire ordeal.

Rude, abrupt and unhelpful.
I simply wanted to purchase coins and smaller bills. It's literally exchanging "x" amount or money for exact same "x" amount of money in different denominations and was told as I'm not a CIBC client, they would only exchange yo to $100.

I am with Simplii financial, which CIBC is the parent company of. How does that make sense.
