Probably the worst branch ever, the front clerk is unbelievably rude. My parents are limited to English and asked a few questions, and the tone of the front representative is somewhat rude and bit of racist. Some indian guy with glasses.

I always dread having to visit this branch. They consistently have long lines that take forever and poor customer service today I was surprised to find no lineup at all. Yeah, the teller was literally asleep at her desk. I also received terrible customer service.

I went this branch to have an appointment regarding power of attorney. The representative I met with was Matias Espinoza and he was by far the worst representative at any bank that I have ever dealt with. He was rude, condescending and didn’t know what the POA policy was. When I was finished, I called customer service and they told me the opposite of what he said and even said that what he told me was wrong. Next thing I know, I was locked out of the account that I had legal access to. It turns out, because I disagreed with what Matias Espinoza said, he took exception and locked the account. Hopefully nobody has to deal with this guy because he is very unprofessional and cannot be trusted.

I have my business accounts here. I switched over to CIBC with an excellent business accounts rep and was very happy. Then he left and I have had 5 different account managers in the past three years, often times switching without even contacting me. Unacceptable management.

It has been great working with Harsh Mehta for my mortgage process. He made the process as simple as possible and was always available for our questions and concerns (I almost bombarded him with my questions and made many phone calls, he answered all of them politely and patiently). This bank as a lot of great people that work there! But I have had quite a few bad experiences with this bank and I'm very upset especially today, last Thursday went into the teller and cashed a check company with no problem and today went into Cash the same company check and was told that I had to wait 4 business days and only check until after Christmas, it's like every time I'm happy with this Bank something happens to make very upset I don't understand how one week to check gets cashed and then the next week same check cannot be cashed, I am very very frustrated! I have a lot of RSPS and some Investments with my company and I have to transfer them over but now I'm not going to transfer them to this Bank and probably will move to a new bank just want to thank the two gentlemen to help me today you guys were awesome.

Banking is going down hill with CIBC and this branch. I was applying for a mortgage this summer with CIBC and this branch and I got no service every mortgage adviser they assign to me is unresponsive I lost so much time and money.they also did so many mistakes through my application I ended up pulling 2 mortgage from them and I m thinking stopping all my bancking all together.in the other hand I went to TD and it s day and night I had such a great service and product.
Think twice before going to this branch and bank very bad experience and service got very bitter taste.strongly advise not to

Between Laurence and Harsh, they really took care of me. They transferred my mortgage from another lender to CIBC and gave me a great rate. It was easy and headache free. Best of all they were available to answer all of my questions 24/7. They truly went above and beyond with regards to customer service. Highly recommend.

Had a horrible experience with one of the female tellers. Extremely rude, impatient and arrogant. Even a simple task of depositing a bank draft that took less than a minute involved rude replies thrown at me. In one word. Pathetic.

Information desk staff are appallingly depressed and project this soon as you walk in. Rude, aggressive, unfriendly n presumably hate their jobs. I'm withdrawing my funds this week and not returning. Didn't want to do this but see no other option till management takes concrete steps.

This is the worst bank in the world. I come here all the time and more than two or three tellers open and there is 6 or 7 more empty teller and more than 10 people walking back and forth acting like they're doing something but no one is doing anything.who's is managing this place they are doing a terrible job.

I needed transfer from savings account I was told I have to see one of the office people a person welcoming people up front told me to sit it will take 10 minutes he went to get one of the office people I can hear the office person shouting at him older Indian gentleman after 10 minutes the office person came to me and he told me he cannot see me I have to make appointment I have to come back tomorrow I told him I didn't want appointment I need money today I left I went to another branch finish my business in 2 minutes

Very inefficient and unprofessional service. The female staff asked if I wanted a receipt for a transfer I did, and when I said no, she announced my remaining account balance in front of my business partner. Worse experience ever. Wanted to report her to a manager but did not want to stay in that crowed room in this time of COVID for any second longer. Absolutely horrified!

Great branch at the north west corner of Atomic and Queensway. Two drive through ATM machines and several on the inside. Has parking for quick visits. Branch is well organized and manages flow of customer fluidly. People are great and handle interbranch mail efficiently. Entrance through Atomic and Queensway. Handicap parking available.

First off, Vishesh is the man! Give this guy a raise! He was the only guy that went the extra mile to get my account running smooth again. They had froze my account for over a week after their own clerical error. No one was any help until I went to the branch and spoke to this teller. He was honest and helpful and did way more then anyone else at the company.

Unbelievably slow service. Usually do banking between 11am and 4 pm and no matter what time i arrive im waiting at the bank for a minimum of 40 minutes. The line is usually out the door meanwhile there are only two tellers working. Extremely unsatisfied! @

I’m seeing a lot of negative reviews about the wait and staff. I had a positive experience, and I think it’s more useful to share strategies that have worked for me. Come as early as possible, if you can. Before they open - the line is organized and clear. Be prepared to wait. Bring your phone, or something to read. Treat everyone you meet as if they are doing their best in a difficult situation and you have the power to make their day easier by being friendly, understanding and patient. The reasons why many things are taking longer are because of policies in place to keep people safe.

The staff are excellent. The branch manager is on the floor working with the staff and assisting customers when the branch is very busy. The only reason this review is not five stars is because of the financial advisors; this branch is a revolving door for most. If you work with an advisor there and you really liked their services, be prepared to travel with them to their next branch.
Nice clean large branch with plenty of parking spaces and a drive-through ATM.

I've been extremely frustrated with the service at this branch. My uncle died May 2,2019 and I am the executor of his estate, which is a difficult, time consuming and emotional job. I sent the probate certificate in early January so that the account could be closed and the assets transferred. I am still waiting and my calls and many emails are rarely returned. It is shameful that someone working on behalf of a deceased relative be treated so poorly.

Theft in white collar and incompetence of the teller to add insult to injury. A dormant account there was depleted of hundreds of dollars in just 4 years as they changed the rule and started charging monthly fee on a daily banking account that was left with the required account on it to avoid that fee. Teller even recommended to keep it open with 90cents on it so they could continue to gauge us and charge overdraft later. Absolute shame and greed at a level that should be criminal. In a time where many people suffer financially CIBC choses to be predatory. They know it’s not worth it for us to litigate but this clearly is theft in white collar.

I visited this branch last week to get the bank draft, there was a huge huge line up and only 3 tellers were working.apparently one advisor- Piyaa came to me and offered me help as there was a long line, she was asking everyone If she can help, Everyone said No, not sure why.she took me in her office and helped me with bank draft and also she took time to review my account and educated me about RRSP&Tfsa, she was very friendly and polite and professional. She seemed extremely happy with her job. I left branch with utmost satisfaction as a client of CIBc.

Attended location at approximately 1: 15 p.m. On Wednesday to do a very basic personal banking transaction with the Teller. When I walked in there was a line of approximately 6+ people waiting. I continued to watch and it appeared that all 4 tellers were either new or inexperienced. When it was my turn (after waiting for about 25 minutes) I approached the Teller and advised that I wanted a Cheque certified - this somehow took an additional 40+ minutes to complete. I have to say that being a long term customer and the quality of treatment that I have received from the CIBC brand itself over the past couple of months has me currently looking for a new financial institution that won't waste my time with untrained bank tellers unable to complete anything on their own. There is no reason that certifying a cheque should take anything longer than 5 minutes - I certify cheques all the time at different financial institutions given the business that I operate and I have to say this was by far the WORST experience I have ever received from a bank. If you need to attend this location, I would ensure that you give yourself LOTS of Time and Patience while the staff figure out their positions in the front line.

I just left from an awful visit at this location, I had lost my Debit Card.

Presented ID, answered their numerous questions, and left with my card.

I put it in the ATM using my PIN, no issues.

The person came out saying they would cancel my card due to my signature not matching what is on file.

I gave my ID, entered my PIN, and answered questions about MY ACCOUNT.

I have never been to a bank that requires a signature for a new Debit Card on a printed out piece of paper that no where indicated a signature required.

This CIBC Branch also struggled at writing me a Certified Check a month prior.

I will never go to this location again, they are unorganized and staff are definitely not well versed in customer service as it was horrid both times.

This is enough for me to want to cancel my banking with CIBC and go to ANY OTHER BANK!

I do not recommend the mortgage advisor Daniela. I was given papers at a mortgage amount and then it was changed. They kept me waiting for 2 weeks to approve the mortgage at 10,000 less as promised. They approved the mortgage at 6: 56 pm, the next day was closing. Poor human service needs. Don’t go with them. The papers were given at an amount for borrowing. The same day they changed the amount. They are not honest. This bank is a front to lure you in at their convenience.

Justin deposited my money into my moms account instead of mine. Completely different names and profiles/didn’t check his screen to my drivers license. I had to go back and ask where my money was. He was unapologetic and seemed like he didn’t even care. I explained I’m happy I checked my account on the app and noticed there were no funds because this was the only time to go to the bank before my trip to Hawaii and I would be out of luck and without money in a different country unable to do anything. Again no apologies no have a good day, nothing! This branch needs to be trained on customer service and proper cash handling skills. Funny enough while I was there someone else was irate complaining about the same issue with mismanaged funds. Hire some inidividuals who actually like there job and want to be there because they’re skills and customer service show otherwise.

I had an amazing business experience at Queensway CIBC Branch location, where Vanessa G was able to handle my business case in the most professional way, she not only demonstrated the above and beyond in effort, but simply exceeded level of my expectations is CIBC service… helped me on a short notice, in my business transition - switching my business accounts - assets from TD Bank, offered me much better services, with much better rates to my Cyber Security PenTesting Inc.consulting company. It always a refresher and the pleasure at the same time to deal with such PRO. Vanessa and her colleague Alla were absolutely at their most effective, knowledgeable and helpful state. Wish other institutions and organizations had real people like it.

On July 6th, between 10-12 am an Indian woman teller treated me really suspiciously while I just requested a simple money order.
First time in my life I was asked for an ID to verify my persona in a bank for a simple money order. When my driver’s license didn’t match the number in the system, I was asked to show my credit card for extra verification. Thankfully, I had it with me. Apparently that wasn’t enough for her either. She started to ask me for my debit history. And even after printing the money order, she proceeded to her manager to ask probably again if it’s ok to give money order to such a criminal like me. Not cool CIBC. Since when entering your PIN number wasn’t enough to verify the identity?
I believe no one deserves that type of mistrust, especially after being your customer for so long.
3 stars only because the branch itself is really nice and other employees are pretty good.
